Story
Hi! I'm Henry and I am at the Santa Barbara Campus. I was in a foster home, and my foster mom shared that I was very affectionate and loved to take over her bed. I have a calmer energy and would love for you to stop by and meet with me so my staff can share a few things about myself! I would prefer a more quiet household to rest in and older children are great. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Story
Hi! My name is Cora and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 1 year 9 month old female Blue heeler mix who is eager for a new home! I might be a little shy at first, but I have a curious spirit and a heart full of love just waiting to shine. I need a safe space where I can run around and express my Blue Heeler instincts-chasing, exploring, and playing to my heart's content! As I build my confidence, I'll be your attentive sidekick, always checking in and eager to bond. With a little patience and encouragement, I'll blossom into the loyal companion you've been looking for. If you have an area where I can stretch my legs and be my playful self, I can't wait to meet you! Let's create some wonderful memories together! Interested in meeting me? Story
* NEEDS TO BE THE ONLY DOG IN HOUSEHOLD * Hi! My name is Sophie, I am a heeler mix, approximately 2 years old and about 40 lbs! I LOVE life and am overflowing with love! I am eager to please, smart and can be very funny- but most of all I want to give hugs and kisses more than anything! I am great with all humans, big or small. While I am working really hard not to jump, but I sometimes let my happiness get the best of me so it may be best not to be in a home with little ones that can topple over. I am crate trained and know a bunch of commands- sit, stay, shake, hit it (a bell), wait, come. I have great recall off-leash and can even recall on just a hand signal. I simply need to be the only dog in a home in order to thrive and be the best dog I can be! That being said, outside the house, I have been referred to as the queen of the dog park! I love meeting other dogs off-leash, big or small, for a fun game of chase! I can’t wait to meet you and go on some fun adventures!

Story
Who is going to be the lucky person to bring this dog into their life? Sofia is a doll! She's about a year old and was rescued from the Riverside County, CA shelter just in time. She is now in foster care in Santa Barbara, CA. Sofia is everything that a cattle dog should be. She's smart, energetic and athletic. She's also capable of being chill and hanging out as long as she gets decent exercise. And she wants nothing more than to please her shepherd. I've rarely had a foster dog who showed such a quick submissive response to correction. That plus a quick mind will make her so easy to train to be whatever you want! Sofia is great with all other dogs she has met, and she has met a lot. She plays well with a larger age-mate. She's got high enough prey drive that cats are likely not a good match for her. She was also very nervous around a toddler, so she's a no for a home with small children. But she's friendly with older kids. Sofia is housebroken, loves leash walks, and is great on car rides. She's going to be a fantastic companion to anyone who wants an active dog who also wants to cuddle!

These pups are in Lompoc, California too!
