PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE INQUIRING Please only submit one online application. List all of the dogs you're interested on the application. Meet Tyson! Tyson and his three littermates were pulled from the Porterville Shelter with no time left and they were next in line to be killed. Amazingly we had a foster offer for all four boys in mid March. Tyson has been there since then and we don't really know why. Tyson is doing really well in his foster home. This is what his foster mama has to say about him - "Tyson loves people attention and would crawl right into my lap if allowed. He walks well on a leash and loves to come inside for special attention. Tyson goes in and out of his crate easily and will settle in there with a favorite chew toy, which he gives dedicated attention. He’s quiet during the night in his crate. He loves to play with every dog he’s ever met. Tyson has been interested in my cats, alert and wants to get closer but pays attention to direction to leave them alone." Tyson would probably enjoy snuggling in bed with his new person though. He was neutered, vaccinated and microchipped at the shelter. We really can't say enough good things about this boy and think he will do well in any type of home. Could your home be the one for Tyson? Story
Hello, We are looking for a good home for our fun energetic long haired liver colored German Shepard. His name is Stetson and recently circumstances have changed where-in we are unable to give him the time and attention he needs to thrive and live his best life. As hard as it is for me to rehome him, I know it is the best thing for him. He is so sweet and loveable. He has a lof of energy and would be great with someone with an active lifestyle or a home with room for him to run around. If you would like to meet him, please message me.

Story
This is Shyla, she is 7 years old and absolutely loves people. She enjoys playing with her ropes and usually encourages a human to play with her! She also enjoys chewing on her green chew toy. She can be active but likes to lounge as well! Due to finances and Shyla not getting along with other animals, we are looking for a better home to meet her needs. The ideal home would be without animals. Possibly with older children or adults within the home (She has not been around children too much).

Lenny is intelligent and eager to learn, so he`ll quickly pick up on any training you want to give him. He would make a wonderful addition to any home that can provide him with love, care, and plenty of playtime. Lenny may do well with other playful dogs in his new home with a slow introduction. Story
Rigby ended up at a shelter after being attacked by several others dogs. Although his injuries were not severe, it seems it has made him a bit untrusting at first. Once he is comfy with you, he is a sweet playful happy boy! Rigby's wishlist: 1. Secure yard/no apartments 2. Adult only home 3. A playful, well mannered dog companion under 30 lbs to play chase with 4. Herding breed experienced person 5. Daily walks, playtime and continued training are recommended 6. Possible adopters available for multiple meets Rigby is a sweet, medium energy cattle dog mix. He is thought to be approximately 3 1/2 years old and is currently 23 lbs. Rigby is playful and loves to play chase with other friendly dogs. He feels most comfortable with dogs who are similar in size to him or smaller. He does not enjoy rough play or overly rough dogs who like to wrestle or play fight. He enjoys going for walks and walks politely on a leash. He likes a yard to explore and play in and is an alert barker so no apartments for him. He is crate trained and housebroken in his foster home. Rigby seems to prefer women and can be somewhat intimidated by men. He does well with men who are gentle and understand the needs of a timid dog. He can be shy when meeting new people but has shown he will warm up with slow, gentle introductions and treats. Once he is bonded to a favorite person he is loyal, affectionate and sweet. He enjoys following his person around the house and yard. Children would overwhelm him so an adult only home is recommended. Rigby would do well in a quiet home with a friendly, confident dog companion to pal around with, help show him the ropes and keep him company while his humans are away from home. He would be best suited for a person who has the time, patience and understanding to help him continue to grow more confident and trusting. Rigby currently lives and gets along with dog savvy cats but he will challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. He will chase outdoor cats who enter the yard. Rigby is a sweet, funny little guy who is waiting for his forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
