Story
Hi I`m Lizzy, and I am here to tell you all about Me!I came into the shelter as a stray in Feb 2024. Even though no one came for me, I think I still have a lot of love and life to give and hope someone will give a chance to show it. I have struggled adjusting to shelter life, but thanks to some of my human friends I am starting to get the hang of things. I even got to be in a foster home for a whole month where I learned soooo much! I can be a little nervous in new environments, but once I get comfortable I am able to enjoy my surroundings. In foster I learned where to go potty (apparently its not inside the house, who knew?!) and how nice it is to have a comfy couch to snuggle up on. Walks are so much fun, but I am still perfecting my leash walking skills so please be patient with me. I can get excited when I see other dogs or people, but my human friends are teaching me that treats are way more fun than anything else going on around me. Speaking of other dogs, I have made some doggie friends at the shelter and have started expanding my friend group. My play style isnt for everyone, so if you already have a dog, bring them in so we can so how our vibes mix. You should also know that I am a fetch enthusiast, a pro at sit, know the place command, and have started learning so many other things. I dont want to brag, but I am pretty smart. Please come on down and meet me, I am so ready to fill your life with fun and love.

Story
This affectionate gentleman is part of a bonded pair with Olsa, who is most likely his daughter. They were left behind when the family moved away, and found themselves in our shelter, sad and confused. But they have each other and that seems to make all the difference!Falcon is about nine years old and about 55 pounds. He is a sweet gentle soul who doesn’t wanna cause any trouble and does want to show his love and appreciation. He loves going on walks around the neighborhood but otherwise is just happy to hang out. The two of them are so easy that anybody who wants dogs that make few demands but are good company would be lucky to have these two. They are crate trained and love going on car rides as well and of course they are housebroken. They do great with other dogs and seemed scared when they met a cat!Falcon is extremely shy when he first meets people so you need to give him a chance to warm up to you. But once he does, he will worship you and give you his absolute loyalty. They would be perfect for someone who just wants some dogs to hang around with that don’t require much.

Story
Hi! I'm Henry and I am at the Santa Barbara Campus. I was in a foster home, and my foster mom shared that I was very affectionate and loved to take over her bed. I have a calmer energy and would love for you to stop by and meet with me so my staff can share a few things about myself! I would prefer a more quiet household to rest in and older children are great. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

He will be a loyal and devoted companion.Cowboy walks great on a leash and has fur much softer than your average Heeler. Story
* NEEDS TO BE THE ONLY DOG IN HOUSEHOLD * Hi! My name is Sophie, I am a heeler mix, approximately 2 years old and about 40 lbs! I LOVE life and am overflowing with love! I am eager to please, smart and can be very funny- but most of all I want to give hugs and kisses more than anything! I am great with all humans, big or small. While I am working really hard not to jump, but I sometimes let my happiness get the best of me so it may be best not to be in a home with little ones that can topple over. I am crate trained and know a bunch of commands- sit, stay, shake, hit it (a bell), wait, come. I have great recall off-leash and can even recall on just a hand signal. I simply need to be the only dog in a home in order to thrive and be the best dog I can be! That being said, outside the house, I have been referred to as the queen of the dog park! I love meeting other dogs off-leash, big or small, for a fun game of chase! I can’t wait to meet you and go on some fun adventures!

Listen up, folks! It`s time to meet the one and only Tj, the black and white charmer of the Australian Shepherd mix world! This pup has got the looks, the personality, and a whole lot of spunk to boot.Tj may only be a year and two months old, but he`s already mastered the art of leash walking. He struts his stuff with such finesse that you`ll feel like you`re walking with a canine model on a fashion runway. And let`s not forget about his love for treats - this pup will do just about anything for a tasty snack. Just be prepared for some serious puppy dog eyes and a tail wag that could power a wind turbine. But Tj`s charisma doesn`t stop there. He`s a social butterfly who adores the company of other dogs. Whether it`s a game of fetch, a friendly wrestle, or a good old-fashioned belly rub session, Tj knows how to have a doggone good time. He`s the life of the doggy party, always ready to make new furry friends and spread the joy wherever he goes.Weighing in at approximately 54.00 lbs, Tj is the perfect combination of cuddly and compact. He`s got just the right amount of fluff to snuggle up with on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but he`s also agile enough to join you on all your outdoor adventures. With Tj by your side, you`ll have the best of both worlds - a loyal companion and a four-legged bundle of love. Now, here`s the scoop - Tj has been hanging out at the shelter since Nov 19, 2023. But fear not, my friends, because he`s currently living it up in a foster home while he patiently waits for his forever family. This lucky pup is experiencing all the joys of a temporary home, complete with comfy couches, tasty treats, and endless love. So, if you`re ready to add a dash of excitement and a whole lot of wagging tails to your life, head on over to the shelter and meet Tj. Sweet Murray! This boy is a one year old tricolor Aussie, very striking looking and as loving as he is gorgeous. Not only is he handsome; he's also easygoing and loving. He's basically a big goofy older puppy. Murray plays really well with other dogs. He's also a lover with people. He's probably too rowdy for little kids. And we don't know how he is with cats. Murray is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to be your best friend!
