Story
Meet Rocky! Rocky is the last Park Fire dog in our shelter. We were never able to locate his family after the fire, and unfortunately he tested positive for heartworms. Rocky will be undergoing treatment for the heartworms over the next few months, and will need to be kept quiet during that time. That means strict crate rest for this happy boy! We will send his foster with enrichment toys to keep his brain busy while being crated. Rocky is around 3.5 years old, social, loves other dogs, and treat motivated.Rocky’s heartworm treatment will take around 3 months. Please let us know if you are able to foster Rocky!

Story
Named after one of the greatest actresses of our time, meet Meryl. This sweet, gentle, submissive lady was found as a stray suffering a broken leg after being hit by a car. Luckily she found her way to Tehama County Animal Care Center who was able to get her accepted into the fractureprogram.at.ucd for repair. She is eight weeks post surgery and now walking like nothing happened. Meryl is a 7 month old cattle dog mix and weights around 30 lbs. She is fostered around cats, kids and other dogs. She loves people and has learned basic skills like crate training and walking on a leash in just a few weeks. Meryl has a great foundation and will make a lucky family very happy. She is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee $300

Story
Beautiful Quincy is a happy, friendly girl who loves all people of all ages, enjoys getting treats, and relishes receiving pets and love. She walks well on a leash, and loves to go for walks, runs and adventures! While she's great with some dogs, she may need a meet and greet with potential dog siblings, as she can be a bit picky. Quincy isn't fond of cats, so we recommend her to go to a home where there are no kitties. Quincy would thrive in a loving home where she can be the center of attention, and join in adventures. If you could use an adventure buddy, apply to meet this perfectly fun sized girl today! November 6, 2024, 11:54 pm
