This girl is full of confidence and is a quick learner. She loves going for car rides and gets excited as soon as she sees her harness. Paloma is a social butterfly who adores meeting new people and soaking up all the love and attention. Paloma is already a pro at crate training and potty training and is a bundle of joy with a tail that never stops wagging. She is currently mastering leash skills and enjoys going on pack walks in a quiet neighborhood, where she can show off her playful side. Paloma loves her dog foster siblings and even though she's surrounded by four giant Northern breeds that are over 80 pounds, she is adapting well and learning how to communicate with them. Paloma is in search of a forever home with at least one other playful dog, where she can continue to grow and thrive. She will do best in a quiet area where she's got a yard to romp in, as busy places can be overwhelming for her. As a high-energy, intelligent working breed mix, Paloma requires regular exercise and mental stimulation. She is 3 years old and weighs 47 pounds. Zena is a 3 ½ year old Australian Cattle Dog who has the most gorgeous and unique coloring and silken smooth long hair for her breed. She is a low energy dog (yes!) that loves cuddling and sleeping when she is not out on long walks or hikes. She is extremely smart and able to be trained to do new tricks quickly and easily. She is food motivated and loves treats all the time - she does really well with positive reinforcement. Zena is great with people of all ages - she visits older sick people and provides them with lots of comfort as well as playing really nicely with young kids who love to pet her and have her in their company. Zena is really malleable with different social situations with people and needs to be the only animal in her home. She is a really sweet animal who does not require a lot of attention and loves being close to her owner. Zena does really well as a runner, hiker, and walker - she has done half marathons and hikes really challenging trails with ease.

Cutie, little "mini-cattledog". She's just getting used to things, but is a willing, and interesting character. Understandably she is a bit uncertain about all the changes she's been going through, but she is a little trooper! Our volunteers walking with her have really enjoyed her; well mannered and sweet, good with dogs too. She has an old corneal ulcer on one of her eyes, so is sight impaired on that side, but she copes well. We are enjoying getting to know her. Come check her out!

Banjo is charming, and needs to be in a rural environment with very little traffic coming and going from his home. He is very smart but he is adamant about taking hoses, But it is a lot of fun to use the hose near him unless you're trying to get something done).....he loves to leap up and bite the water. Hilarious and adorable. He will need an adult-only home who have had plenty experience with this breed. He needs more work on training and socialization. Banjo is a sweetheart he loves to go for walks, just short ones. He isn't very big into hiking and mostly just enjoys the company of his humans.

Chowder is a happy, fun-loving boy with loads of love to share. He loves to spend his day playing with his people, other canine companions, and a ball. Chowder loves to play fetch, though he isn't always great at giving it back. Chowder is currently housed with 3 other dogs, and they play all day. Chowder craves human attention, and begs to go on walks. He would do best in an active household. Chowder does well off-leash. he is inquisitive, and likes to check things out, but comes back when called. Chowder can be food aggressive, though are working with him and he has gotten much better. He would probably do best in an adult-only home, as he will act out if he feels threatened. Chowder would not be a good fit for a house with cats. Nonetheless, all Chowder really wants is a family and home to call his own, and he will delight whoever is lucky enough to take a chance on him. He really wants to be loved, and to do what is asked of him. He is very expressive and fun to be around.
