Story
Meet Tart, a sweet 11-month-old pup with a playful and energetic personality! Tart is part Cattle Dog, has some good obedience and is a quick learner for any further training. Due to her excitability behaviour, Tart can be jumpy at times and not suitable for young children in the home Tart is looking for an active home where she will thrive with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and guidance. Tart's foster home has told us that she enjoys outings and having guests come over. Her foster mom took her to the seawall, where she enjoyed her walk before they sat at a cafe. Due to her limited experiences, Tart can be reactive to dogs and unpredictable things like cyclists and runners. Her foster home believes that with the right training and positive exposure, she can be a wonderful companion on all kinds of adventures. If you have the time and patience for a fun-loving, high-energy pup, Tart could be the perfect addition to your family!Do you think you could be Tart's person? Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.
