Story
Zuko is a great dog. He was adopted from a shelter around 8 months ago and is fully potty trained. He is a high energy dog who loves to run around and chase you or another dog, or get chased himself. He loves to play fetch, chew on a bone, and just run around and play. He is a super curious dog and has loved every person and every other dog he has ever met. Every dog he sees he just wants to play with. He is ok on a walk as he is a bit of a puller and likes to eat stuff off the ground occasionally. His high energy also doesn’t suit him for apartment living as it causes him to have some chewing problems inside. I don’t have the time or the ability to give him the life he deserves and am looking for someone who can. He is definitely man’s best friend!

Story
Zane is a sweet, cuddly and exuberant boy! We brought him into our lives about a month ago from PACC and we believe he's about 2 years old. He is very intelligent and with a patient hand he's eager to learn new things (especially if you have some cut up hot dog!). As a cattle dog mix, he has a lot of energy and would be best suited for a home with a yard. He loves fetch, playing with a tug toy and really any game that lets him spend time with you! He gets along with most dogs though he has started verbal altercations with unfixed males and can assert himself if he feels stressed. Zane has otherwise gotten along with many other dogs our friend's own (especially the ones that love to play!). NO CHILDREN! We do not recommend him for a home with small children. Cattle dogs notoriously try to herd them as they run and wouldn't do well with their unpredictability. Zane has worked well with a dog trainer and we recommend he continue behavioral training to help him manage his stressors. His

Story
Bane is a shy guy who came to the shelter as a stray. We’ve been working hard to help him adjust to the day-to-day routine here at PACC, but there’s just no substitute for a real home!! Bane has been making great progress- here’s what his volunteer friends have said about him:“Bane is coming along so well. He`s a little hesitant with leashing until I give him a piece of chicken, and then he`s ready to go and he goes potty right away. Bane is a nice walker who is still a bit anxious. I’ve been able to pet him lately and on my last walk with him I got a kiss. That made my day! Easy to return and unleash in kennel. Once he gets to know a person I think he will be a very loyal companion.” “Bane was sweet during our walk. He had a perfect kennel routine, sitting pretty for me to leash him up. I petted him at the end of the walk which he enjoyed.”“There was a note that said Bane would not leave his kennel in the morning, so I walked over to see him. I was able to separate him from his kennel mate, talked to him from outside the kennel, then quietly entered the kennel and sat on the floor. After a few minutes, I was able to leash him. As soon as I opened the kennel door and went out, he followed me, though his tail was tucked. We walked south through the desert, and he relaxed more and more as time passed. Bane was quiet and did well on leash. I hope he will gain more confidence as he interacts more and more with walkers.”“I approached Bane’s kennel and gave him very small bits of string cheese from outside. He ate the cheese but did not approach me. I entered the kennel and easily leashed him. Bane surprised me with how well he walked. We went through the gate to the park without any hesitation. He pulled slightly at first but then settled into a good walk. I gave him light pets on his back. We walked down to the gazebo and he had a few tiny pieces of cheese. Returning him, was easy. This boy is making great progress!”There you have it- with patience, routine and consistency, Bane has all the makings of a wonderful family member! Bane has been social, tolerant and playful when attending playgroup at the shelter, though he’d still like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. If you can show this timid boy that life in a home is nothing to be scared of, please ask about Bane today!!
