Story
We told Vanilla Ice that we were going to take his picture so we can post him online so we can find him a new family. His response was to go play in the biggest mud puddle he could find! Then he said, "I'm ready, let's do this!"  Vanilla Ice was picked up by animal control, living under a manufactured home in a nearby town with his siblings. Best guess is that he is a heeler/husky cross by looking at him and his siblings. We never saw his mom so it is just a best guess. The whole litter was very shy, and we had to put in some extra work to get them to be friendly and social with humans and they are doing great now. They are ready to find their new homes now. They are current on their vaccinations, deworms, microchipped and have been fixed. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question please ask in the e-mail.   All dog are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption. Story
Hi, I'm Lily, and I'm looking for a new home. I'm a sweet and friendly dog who loves to play and cuddle. I'm about 3 years old, but I still have a lot of energy and curiosity. I get along well with other dogs, big and small, and I don't mind cats or children either. I'm very loyal and affectionate, and I'll always be by your side. I was turned into the pound by my previous owners, and I don't know why. Maybe they couldn't take care of me anymore, or maybe they didn't love me enough. It was very scary and sad, but luckily I was rescued by the kind people at Central Arizona Animal Rescue. They took good care of me, and made sure I was spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I already know some basic commands and I am am pretty good with my manners, and I think I'm doing pretty well. I'm not sure if I'm house trained, I think I am but I'm willing to learn and please you. I'm ready to start a new life with a loving family who will cherish me and never abandon me. I promise to be a good girl and a faithful companion. If you're looking for a furry friend who will brighten up your days and warm up your nights, please e-mail mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment and come and meet me. I can't wait to see you and give you a big kiss. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Hello, world! I'm Buckley, a 1-year-old red heeler mix with a little extra wiggle in my walk, thanks to something called cerebellar hypoplasia (or CH for short). Now, CH might sound fancy, but all it really means is that I have a unique swagger—think of me as your own personal, four-legged dance partner. My walk might be wobbly, but I don’t let it slow me down one bit! I was rescued from a tough situation, but those days are behind me. Now, I’m living the good life in my foster home, where I’m thriving and showing off my joyful personality every single day. Sure, I might take a tumble now and then—especially when I'm super excited—but I always bounce back with a smile (and maybe a little help from my friends). The best part? My condition isn’t contagious, and it won’t get any worse. I’m self-sufficient and love doing all the things a young pup should—running, playing, eating, and even riding in the car. I’m a pro at walking on a leash, I get along great with other dogs, and I absolutely adore kids. I sleep soundly in my crate at night and don’t need any special medications, just a little patience and a lot of love. I’m looking for a special family who can see past my wobbles and into my heart. If you’re ready to embrace my quirks and help me live my best life, I promise to fill your days with endless joy and plenty of puppy love. So, what do you say? Ready to let me wobble my way into your heart? Buckley is 38lbs, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We offer meet and greet with trial run before adoption so you can see how it will work out before deciding to adopt - no pressure, no risk. Visit cooperschance.org for online application.   All Cooper’s Chance adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm negative, de-wormed, micro chipped and housebroken. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please visit our website at cooperschance.org for additional information. Story
Lorelai is a five year old pit mix. She has quite the story- Lorelai was a stray, pregnant and she was hiding under a mobile home. For some odd reason, the people who found her thought they should literally stab her in the back (while pregnant) to slow her down to catch her. HARTT was able to trap her and she had her puppies safely with Love Connection. Lorelai is a small girl who does like other dogs and kids. She would need a patient foster or adopter (don't all dogs) to help remind her that no human will hurt her like that again https://forms.gle/7dTuG94nZKd839c2A

Story
Meet Rayne, she is a red heeler (possible mix)! Rayne is an older puppy, possibly closer to 1.5 years old, and is such a love! 💙 This sweetie was found as a stray and has been with me since November. No one stepped up for her, so she has been altered (as of 2/12/24) and is very well socialized with cats and dogs! Rayne is a typical heeler and picks a person to be her person. Rayne is microchipped and her information will need to be registered. Rayne is a jumper - she can climb and scale walls under 5ft in height. To my knowledge, she has no experience with children, but would do really well with older kids. Rayne is crate trained now and sleeps and eats in her crate as she is still working through some resource guarding. https://forms.gle/7dTuG94nZKd839c2A

Story
Allie is an intelligent, almost "cat-like" dog. She doesn't play fetch, or really enjoy dog toys, but get her a stuffed animal & she's ready to play. She is 8 years old, (estimated birth-date was December 2016) She knows "sit, stay, wait, & a growled out "enough" when she's barking too much. She gets along well with smaller dogs she can boss around, unknown how she would do with a larger dog, but I am all for meeting prior to adopting to ensure compatibility. She's exceptional with younger children/infants, older children as well, & is comfortable with male/female adults. As I said before she is very cat-like, she likes to rub up on your legs, the couch, whatever she can rub against especially if you've been gone for a min. She is very sweet, but again cat-like; sometimes she will want to play & sometimes she will look at you like you're crazy. She loves to be outside & to go on walks. She would do best in a home that has a decent sized backyard/outdoor area.
