Story
🐾 Meet Ebony 🖤 Name: Ebony Age: Estimated 1.5–2 years Weight: 46 lbs Guessed Breed: Australian Cattle Dog mix 🌟 Personality Snapshot Ebony loves big and plays even bigger! She’s a joyful, enthusiastic girl who adores toys (yes… all of them) and can happily entertain herself with a squeaky when needed. She has a people-pleasing heart, a happy spirit, and a whole lot of fun packed into 46 pounds. 🥰 Cute Quirk Every morning when Ebony is let out of her crate, she starts with a big stretch… then gently reaches up for the sweetest, most careful “good morning” hug you’ve ever experienced. After that? Zoomies. She immediately begs for her toys (she knows exactly where they’re kept), and once she’s armed with them, it’s outside she goes — because, you know… potty first. 😉 🎓 Training & Manners ✔️ Knows Sit and Shake ✔️ Great leash skills ✔️ Crate trained (does wonderfully in her home kennel) ✔️ House trained ✔️ Good recall — and if she’s mid-play, a gentle shake of the treat jar works instantly 🏡 Home Habits House Trained: Yes Crate Manners: Excellent Door Dasher: No Jumper: Not typically — she may gently place her front paws on your waist if she wants a hug or if you’re holding her baby (toy) and forgot to hand it over Counter Surfer: No — but she will place her paws up to check if her toys are still there and then stare at you until you laugh, compliment her intelligence, and hand them over 🥰 ⚡ Energy Level Moderate to high bursts — Ebony loves her zoomies but settles nicely once she gets them out. 🍖 Motivation Ebony lives to please and is highly motivated by food, treats, praise, and hugs. 🐕 Social Skills Dog-Friendly: Does great with dogs her size or larger. She’s unsure around small dogs and tends to avoid them. With New People: Extremely friendly — she truly does not meet a stranger. 🚗 Car Manners Ebony loves car rides and does great loading, unloading, and riding freely. She does not like being crated in a vehicle and appears fearful of that setup, though she is perfectly comfortable in her home crate. 🧸 Favorite Things 🧸 All toys — especially fuzzy squeakies 🦴 Benebones during kennel time 🏡 Best Home Scenario Ebony would thrive with: ✔️ An active family ✔️ Plenty of space to run ✔️ Daily walks, runs, or structured activity A physical fence is not required, as Ebony prefers to stay close to her people. A home committed to daily exercise and continued recall work would be ideal. 🐾 Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption. Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following: All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation. All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations. All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention. Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention. To start the adoption process, please fill out our application here: 👉 https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/WAG/Dog Please also take a moment to read our requirements located in the application. Please note: The dog you’re applying for might already have a meet-and-greet scheduled, be on a trial with another family, or has been offered to another rescue within our network. Don’t worry though — we’re always happy to help you find another great match if that happens! Our goal is to make sure every pup ends up in the best home for their needs (and yours too!).

Story
🐾 Meet Niko! 🐾 🚨 READ THIS FIRST – PLEASE 🚨 Niko is currently accepting applications, but he will not be ready to go home for about 2 more weeks, once he receives his next booster vaccine. After that, Niko will go FOSTER-TO-ADOPT until he is old enough to be neutered. This means his future family will be fostering him with the intent to adopt, while we continue his veterinary care and ensure he stays on schedule. Once neutered, the adoption will be finalized. This helps give Niko the safest, healthiest start possible while allowing his future family to bond with him early. 💙 Please apply only if you understand and are comfortable with this process. Name: Niko Age: 6 weeks Weight: 8.4 lbs Breed: Blue Heeler / American Bulldog mix Niko is a full-speed, all-heart puppy who lives life exactly how a baby Heeler/Bulldog mix should — go hard, crash hard, repeat. He’s curious, confident, and learning how to exist in a big world one zoomie at a time. ✨ Cute Quirk: His tail is ridiculously cute, but his favorite party trick is taking on a ball that’s bigger than he is… and getting stuck on top of it. It never gets old. 😈 Puppy Shenanigans: Those baby teeth are SHARP, and right now he’s convinced that wood, hands, arms, and anything within reach are fair game for chewing. He also believes everything is a toy — including you. 🎓 Training & Manners: We’re working on “no” and “down.” He goes into his crate easily, though he’d much rather be out where everyone is. He enjoys his indoor fenced area and already knows which food bowl is his (even with three dogs in the home!). He’ll sit on his mat patiently while waiting for meals. 🚶‍♂️ Leash & Collar: No leash work yet, but he’s getting comfortable wearing a collar. 🏠 House Training: Not house trained yet (he is only 6 weeks old). He uses a training mat in his fenced area and will occasionally use it when roaming the house. 🚪 Door Manners: If you’re walking anywhere — especially toward a door — Niko is right behind you, hopeful that playtime is about to happen. 🛋 Couch Goals: He desperately wants to jump on the couch to play with the big dogs… who are currently avoiding his endless puppy energy. ⚡ Energy & Needs: Niko is a puppy, which means he will need engagement, structure, and dedicated time for training as he grows. He’s smart, busy, and will thrive with someone committed to guiding him through puppyhood. 🐕 Other Dogs: He is good with other dogs but may annoy them with his enthusiastic puppy ways. 👋 People: He loves everyone and assumes all people are here just for him. 🐾 Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption. To start the adoption process, please fill out our application here: 👉 https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/WAG/Dog Please note: The dog you’re applying for might already have a meet-and-greet scheduled, be on a trial with another family, or has been offered to another rescue within our network. If that happens, we’re always happy to help you find another great match. Adoption Requirements: • Current pets over 6 months must be spayed/neutered (medical exemption allowed only with vet confirmation) • Current dogs must have Rabies and DHPP vaccinations • Consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention is required for both current and past dogs listed on applications
