Story
Oscar is a Queensland Red heeler and Pitbull mix. He is very intelligent and very loving. He loves going for walks outside and enjoys meeting people. He is also very protective of his home, so he will bark when somebody knocks on the door. He has been an inside dog all his life and is potty trained and house trained. Oscar is around 6 years old, we have had him for 5 years. We recently sold our home and are living in a camper trailer. Oscar needs a place where he can run and play and enjoy a family. We love him very much but we decided to do what's best for him. If anybody's interested in giving him a good home we would be very thankful.

Story
We love our sweet Rylie, but it has become apparent he needs a house without small children. He is a 14 month old blue heeler poodle mix. He has been through obedient school and knows all of his commands. Our veterinarian thinks he would do well in a home with no small dogs or children. He thinks he might be the ideal fit for a veteran with PTSD because he is so intelligent. He never has accidents, and he’ll ring the bells to go out and go potty. We just want to make sure he goes to the right home.

Story
UPDATE!!&#226&#156&#168 These pitiful teeny pups have found themselves at a local overcrowded shelter. They appear to be Heeler/terrier mixes. They are around 9 weeks and 3-4 lbs. Thankfully, we secured a foster and they have settled into foster care and have been treated for their parasites and skin infections. They will be ready in the coming weeks after 2 rounds of vaccines and they are altered.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Story
UPDATE!! This adorable boy is Vincent. He and his siblings were saved from a local overcrowded shelter.  We are unsure of the breed but believe they will be smaller/medium sized adults. Our guess is terrier mix but Vincent definitely has a smaller build and characteristics of a chi mix. They are around 10-12 weeks now. Vincent is 4ish lbs. He has settled into foster care and is doing wonderful. He’s great with all people and animals. His eyes are simply stunning. He will get second vaccines and neutered on 2/5/25 and will then be adoption ready.   Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
