Story
Jango is a beautiful example of your classic bully. He is loving, smart, energetic, loyal and so handsome. Our sweet boy has lived the majority of his life in the shelter and done incredibly well. This truly speaks to the resilience of his breed. He will need a family that understands this and can help him learn to be the best boy! Jango is a strong guy but often doesn't know his own strength (classic bully breed characteristics) so we suggest he go to a home with older children. If you are looking for a friend to go on walks and then spend time cuddling, this is your guy! Jango's potential knows no bounds. If you are interested in meeting Jango we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an application. The adoption fee is $250.00, which includes neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming and vaccinations. All adoptions are done by appointment only, with an approved application on file. We truly appreciate your interest in helping a dog in need. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgNovember 6, 2024, 5:41 am

Story
Great dog, very sweet temperament. Great with people, does well with other dogs but can get jealous. We found him tied up on the street and have gotten him back up to good heath. He doesn’t do well with cats, our cats are barn cats and if he gets out he will chase them. I think this can be trained but he would need time. He is house trained and has a great temperament. Needs a loving home.

Story
Meet Jessie, an adult dog with a personality that can light up a room. She's a unique blend of goofy and playful, with a dash of stubbornness that adds to her charm. Jessie's hilarious antics are sure to keep you entertained. She's not shy about voicing her opinions, making her a constant source of amusement. But don't be fooled, Jessie is also incredibly friendly, always ready to shower you with love and affection. Her joyful spirit is contagious, making every day a little brighter. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring laughter and fun into your life, then Jessie is the perfect match for you. Jessie is great with other dogs of all sizes, great with kids, and all people! We believe she is an Akita (Shepard or husky?) Mix. We are not 100% sure on her breed it is a guess. She originally came from another rescue that abandoned her in boarding so we stepped in. She has gone through basic training and is crate trained. Adoption Fee - $75. Weight - 60 Pounds. Story
Ruben is a typical puppy: energetic, curious, and mouthy. He craves attention and affection. Ruben is moderately crate trained. As a puppy, he is better off with blankets in his crate.  He loves playing with toys but needs some attention in terms of just being with people and getting more socialized.  When he is calm after some play, he is very sweet. He has an intense stare and is likely a great candidate for scent work. He is super agile and loves to run fast. He can actually entertain himself with a variety of things in the yard.  He was found in an orchard field... and not much around to sustain him. So, he is in need of love and care to round out his early struggles. But, he is young, and is learning quickly basic commands.November 6, 2024, 2:40 pm
