Story
Ivy is a teeny tiny ittie bittie pittie with a smile that brightens any room! She’s endlessly affectionate and easily one of the cutest dogs in the world- from her looks to her play style to her bouncy little run. She’s a perfect pocket pittie ready for forever love! Get to know Ivy here: https://youtu.be/FYOpEt6QR6s?feature=shared We believe that Ivy is a Staffie, Pittie mix. She has those big baby Staffie eyes to back it up, and a petite but muscular frame. We estimate her age to be around 3 years old, past the terrors of puppyhood and adolescence and settled nicely into Established Good Dog territory. Ivy is currently thriving in a foster home with other dogs and cats. She gets along beautifully with all of them. She’s kitty approved, we believe her to be cat-tolerant and capable of living with dog-savvy cats. During the day, you can usually find Ivy at doggy daycare, befriending all of the pups. She plays chase with the other dogs, and shares her toys well! Here at the rescue, Ivy showed off her canine social skills, we can confidently say that this sweet girl is dog friendly and ready for a doggy sibling or two in her forever home. The most important thing to note about Ivy is how loving she is! This girl adores people, she made fast friends of us all. She even made friends with our vet staff, she forgave the pokes and prods quickly, once pets were offered! Ivy loves treats, and she takes them so gently. She’s food motivated, which will make further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Ivy is easy on the leash, and with a little polishing, she’ll be a perfect walking companion in no time. She’s done well in her foster mom’s car, so we think she’ll be an easy dog to take out and about! Be warned, she will make many friends along the way. Her cuteness draws them in, her sweetness keeps them petting. Ivy is ready to be your best friend. We could see her thriving in a family home, or as your only child. She would do well in a home with other pets, but she’s so people-focused that we suspect she’d enjoy being your one and only. Ivy is easy-going, petite and sweet, perfectly suited to apartment living. We are willing to test Ivy with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $1000 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
My name is Daisy as in Daisy Mae Duke. I’m pretty enough to be the homecoming queen and tough enough to whip the tailback. I like cuddles, quiet time, and have learned that I DO like toys and treats. I am faster and more agile than my dog-brothers. I arrived at my foster’s house so shut-down that I wouldn't eat food or take treats. After a couple weeks of quiet time and sleep, I started to rebuild trust. I’m learning from my dog-brothers how to behave and be a part of a family. I never knew life could be this good. I never have accidents in the house. I am house trained, so long as I know where to go outside. I sit by the door to tell you I need outside. I enjoy sunning outside and don’t prefer the rain or cold. I can be trusted out of my crate and by myself for a couple hours, but don't leave shoes or toys on the floor, I need toys that are my own. I’m not a barker. I’m happy to lounge quietly or play chase outside. I can walk on a leash and am gaining confidence. Some might call me a shy girl, but I have a spunky side behind this shyness. Kids don’t bother me; I live with an 11 and 8 year old. I have always been gentle with kids as young as 5. I’d be happiest in a home with another animal to show me the ropes. Despite my rough start I know there is still a happily ever after waiting for me. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Fanny, our 16 pound 4 month old Staffy mix, is a totally delightful, happy puppy. Although she has a rare genetic disorder called Oculoskeletal Dysplasia, she's as thrilled to "dog" as any puppy we've met. Oculoskeletal Dysplasia causes dwarfism and abnormalities with the eyes such as retinal detachment and cataracts. Although the disorder does not affect a dogs life span, it does mean that Fanny is completely blind. She also has abnormally short legs (like a corgi). If you ask Fanny, though, she would say she's perfect. And we agree. With a constantly wagging tail, Fanny is thrilled to meet everyone. She loves ALL people, dogs, cats and even chickens. Fanny is playful and funny; she is good at games of tug and is happy to entertain herself with a chew for hours. Fanny's foster family are pros at crate training, and Fanny sleeps all night quietly in her pen. She is nearly 100% potty trained and is learning leash walking and basic obedience. To prove that Fanny can do what all other dogs can do, she's even been camping and hiking already (and she LOVED it). When she's not playing, Fanny is very cuddly and sweet. Fanny seems to have no fear, which is an admirable quality in any puppy. It does mean she would walk off a cliff if someone wasn't watching, so her adopter will have to make some accommodations for her blindness. Because she can be startled if someone picks her up when she isn't expecting it, we recommend older kids in Fanny's home. We would love for Fanny to live with at least one other playful dog; she would love a pack of best friends. Fanny is microchipped, vaccinated, and current on her flea and heartworm preventatives. Fanny is likely to stay under 35 pounds fully grown. Fanny is here to prove that adopting a dog with a disability isn't as daunting as it seems. She's going to make someone really happy. Is it you? Story
Meet Polly! Polly-Anna, Polly Pocket, Polly Pittie, Polly-wog, the cheeky nicknames are endless! And the names are all as cute and sweet as she is. If you are looking for quiet companionship and playful charm, this lovable lady is ready, waiting, and available. Fall in love with Polly here: Estimated to be around 8 or 9 years old and weighing about 50 pounds, Polly is the perfect example of mellow maturity. While we think she might be a pittie mix—maybe with a touch of Lab—her true breed and exact age is anyone’s guess, but what we do know is she’s 100% lovable, huggable, good girl. Don’t let her age fool you, though—Polly still gets the zoomies now and then and will happily share a playful moment before curling up next to you for cuddles. Polly is fortunate to be waiting for her adoption day in the home of a loving foster. This is wonderful for so many reasons. This gives us a front-row seat to the day to day girl Polly is while she gets to learn and enjoy the rhythm of home life. So far we know she loves cuddles on the couch, is very adoring of her person, enjoys standing in a baby pools to cool her paws, and will gently carry around a toy in her mouth. Her foster mom has shared, she’s a dream in her crate, settling in quietly without barking or whining. On top of everything else, she loves a car ride with the wind in her face! Polly would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a family who understands her laid-back nature. She’s happy to take short walks or enjoy a little time outdoors, but she doesn’t need a yard to be happy. Even though Polly is good on leash and redirects easily when needed, she would love suburb or country life over anything else. As we all age, the quiet life becomes the dream life! Polly gets along well with other dogs, but as a mature lady, she appreciates calm companions who respect her relaxed vibe. When introduced to new dogs she calmly shared space with small interactions here and there. Overall, its easy to see the Polly is for the people and will be more than happy as a solo-dog. A cat-free home would also be ideal, but Polly has done wonderful with everything else, enjoying kids and car-rides Polly is an easy, lovable dog who asks for little but gives so much in return.
