Story
I am so sad to have to give Kala up. She is the sweetest ~3 year old dog I’ve ever had. She is an anxious and timid girl who came from a shelter without much backstory. She has moderate amount of energy and also loves to be a homebody. She is more fearful than anything else and going on walks can sometimes be hard for her when there’s a lot of stimuli. She needs a strong leader and lots of love. She is a spunky girl and so so loving, the only reason I am looking for a new home for her is because I cannot afford the time and finances to giving her the life she deserves. If you are looking for a new family member, Kala will repay you in being a gentle and loyal pet.

Story
Meet Panthera, the graceful and loyal canine with the deepest, soulful eyes, and jet-black coat. She is smart, well-behaved, and eager to have a forever home! https://youtu.be/mBhIjzALPrM?feature=shared This beautiful, all-black beauty is ~60 lbs and 1 year old. We think she may be a Staffy/Lab mix, but with rescue its always a guess. We like to call them a Texas Surprise! She was given her name because she looked like a graceful and majestic black panther as she would pounce on her toys as she played. Potty trained and crate trained, Panthera possesses a repertoire of commands that demonstrate her intelligence and eagerness to please. She knows "Sit," "Lay down," "Settle," "No," “Outside,” and “Night Night.” She is a very good girl who just wants to please her people and be rewarded with yummy treats and lots of pets. She does not jump up, but will instead sit patiently at your feet with a wagging tail, waiting for you to give her attention. Panthera thrives in the company of people, kids, and/or other dogs. She embodies a sense of loyalty and watchfulness. She has spent her whole life in a loving foster home with her mom and siblings, who have given her a great start in learning doggy manners. She also lives with her foster parents, a special needs granddaughter, and another adult who is in a wheelchair. She does great with people of all ages and abilities, as well as other dogs. Panthera's gentle spirit shines brightest in atmospheres where she can take leisurely naps and indulge in her favorite pastimes. Some of her favorite activities include playing with her squeaky toys, chewing on bones, or munching on apples with peanut butter. With her quiet demeanor and penchant for napping, Panthera could thrive in an apartment setting as long as she receives adequate exercise and affection. She’s pretty good on leash, making daily walks a joy. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and vetted to ensure she’s healthy and ready to go to her forever home. In Panthera, one finds not just a dog, but a cherished friend whose presence illuminates the darkest of nights and brings warmth to the quietest of days. Embrace her, and you'll discover a loyal confidante and a kindred spirit, forever by your side. Currently fostered in Texas, she is ready to travel to her forever home in the PNW or NE areas! Story
Lover girl Adelaide Cupcake, a well-behaved and universally loved GOOD DOG, kid-friendly, great with dogs of all sizes, so social, funny and charming! Adelaide has never met a stranger, she’s food-motivated, eager to please and very obedient. She’s a hugger, and an exuberant kisser. She moonlights as a comedian, with her many funny faces, her goofy gait, and her massive, infectious smile! SUCH a good girl. Adelaide is a pittie mix, approximately 5 years old and 73 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We can guarantee that Adelaide is 100% good girl and will bring so much love, joy and adventure into your life. Adelaide has such a goofy and spirited personality, she can catch treats in her mouth and understands exactly how to make us humans laugh. She’s such a good, sweet girl, all about spreading love and happiness. She absolutely loves water. When we fill up the baby pool, she wants to stick her head in the water hose and play. Her absolute favorite thing is riding in the car, though. She loves to load up and go for rides, Adelaide’s favorite outing is a coffee shop date, she loves her pup cups! She also loves park dates that include playing ball, catching treats in the air, and meeting other hikers on the trail! She’s the BEST car rider!! She sleeps all night in her crate like a good girl and she’s potty trained and well behaved in the house. Adelaide has great house manners, and loves to snuggle, sit in your lap, or get belly rubs. Adelaide is such an affectionate and loving girl. We put a hat and tee shirt on her and she seemed to like them. She kept the hat on for a long time! Adelaide can often be found wearing her pony-bead necklaces- custom made jewelry gifted to her by her teenage foster “cousin.” Adelaide can be a teeny tiny bit hesitant to open up to new people, but she’s very easily won over with a couple treats and sweet pets. Once Adelaide has deemed you one of “her people,” you have a friend for life. Adelaide recognizes people she’s met, even just briefly, immediately and is always excited for the reunion. Such a good, loyal girl. With kids, Adelaide is a big house hippo and can sometimes be “a lot” for kids that aren’t used to big beefy goofy pittie types. Adelaide is incredibly sweet with them though, giving gentle kisses and playing games to their hearts content. Adelaide is beloved by so many kids, both here at the rescue, and within her foster family. She is dog friendly and will play with her doggy friends for short periods of time but most of the time she is off doing her own thing or loving on any human around her. She would do best with other dogs that are moderately playful like her, but will respect when Adelaide when she doesn't want to play. Adelaide does so well with small dogs, and seems to prefer their company! She is currently living in a foster home with multiple small dogs. Adelaide knows a few basic commands, she’s very intelligent, treat motivated, and loyal, which will make training her further enjoyable for both of you. Adelaide knows to auto-sit for treats and knows how to catch treats in her mouth. Adelaide came into rescue without much leash training, and loved to pull on leash- our behavior team trained Adelaide to walk on a gentle leader, a special type of leash that uses doggy psychology to make walks more enjoyable for both of you. When you take Adelaide home, we’ll be sure to send a gentle leader with you, so she can put her best foot forward on your first walk together! Adelaide is suuuch a good girl and a rescue favorite. “She is the best snuggler… ever. She will completely lay on top of me when I’m on the couch. She has the cutest personality. She gets the zoomies and it’s hilarious! She only has one bad thing about her really…..she’s a counter surfer sometimes. But working on it! We love fostering Adelaide, she is the best girl!” Adelaide is such a sweet, loyal, good girl. Her perfect forever home will be loving, kind and kitty-free. (Adelaide does like to chase cats!) She would do well as one of your pack, or as a solo-dog, soaking up all of that love for herself. Adelaide is medium energy and would do great in a semi-active family with kids. She does great with kids, as long as the kids are used to big dogs! Adelaide has been waiting for her forever home for far too long, if Adelaide sounds like your kind of girl- please fill out an application today. With any specific questions about Adelaide, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, her email is linked below. We are willing to test Adelaide Cupcake with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. 🐾 Meet Rocky! 🐾 Rocky's journey from a lonely wanderer under a freeway to a beloved, joyful companion is inspiring. This resilient pup, a 57 lb Staffy mix, was found after days of uncertainty, bearing the scars of malnutrition and neglect. Today, Rocky is a testament to the power of love and care, transformed into a bundle of affection and energy. Rocky now thrives on human interaction and is terrific with children and other pets. His days are filled with playful antics and many cuddles; he has become a well-mannered and loving house guest. Fully house-trained, Rocky has had no accidents indoors since his rescue and adapts well to crating, although he doesn't require it. A fan of car rides, Rocky has overcome his initial fears and now enjoys being a copilot for road trips and errands. He walks beautifully on a leash, needing little to no redirection, making him a perfect companion for daily strolls or exciting adventures to the dog park. Currently living harmoniously in a home with two dogs and three cats, Rocky is cat-friendly and could integrate well into a home with cats, given a slow and proper introduction. Rocky's ideal home would have a fenced yard where he can freely run and play to his heart's content. If you're looking for a devoted, affectionate, and spirited friend, Rocky could be the perfect match for you. Ready to give Rocky the loving forever home he deserves and experience the joy he brings daily? 🐶❤️ Please email : Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
This is Freckles, aptly names so for his gorgeous black and white speckled freckled coat. In rescue breed and age are offered as educated guesses given we do not know a dogs history but we believe Freckles is about 3 years old and is possibly a Staffordshire terrier/ Australian Shepherd mix. He weighs in at 82 lbs so he is bringing big snuggle possibilities. Freckles is an easy-going and confident boy, he leads with a bit of aloofness but that's just his way of checking things out. Once he feels comfortable he will come and check-in for some affection, showing his tail-wagging friendly side. He responds positively to a connection and comforting presence without needing constant reinforcement or praise. I can see Freckles being great company for putzing around outside, whether it's some gardening or tending to any ol' thing, Freckles will be happy to keep you company without getting in the way. Walking with Freckles is a breeze! He corrects easily, stays close, and follows commands well. Plus, he's able to walk past unfamiliar dogs without any reactivity, showing his calm, unbothered, personality. We introduced Freckles to multiple dogs and he was easy-going and calm. With time and the right connection he may show a more playful side. He's looking for friends, just needs some time to warm up. He will need some decompression time once he arrives in his new home, just a short period of understanding while he gets settled, but the reward is a loving and affectionate companion Freckles was introduced to our house cat Tom, his interest and overly focused attention tell us he wouldn’t make a good house-mate to a cat. He would likely try to chase a cat and that chaos is nobody’s favorite. In our books, that is perfectly okay! Just like people, not everyone is a cat-lover. Freckles’ dream home? One with a yard to explore and soak up the smells with a sunny spot for mid-day naps. With space to allow him to go out he will be able to show you how content he is by himself when needed. He can entertain himself with just his own company and that is a skill in itself. To sum it up, Freckles is one incredibly cool looking boy, confident and easy-going, good on leash, enjoys company of other dogs, not really a cat-guy, and is looking for his fur-ever home! A hidden gem waiting for the right crew to see him shine. Your patience, understanding, and love, will help Freckles become a cherished member of your family! f you have any questions about Freckles or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
