Story

We are looking for a home for the stray we took in. Vet estimates him to be 10mo-a year old. I want to keep him, however he has displayed some behavioral issues, and while most are manageable and we’ve seen improvement in some behaviors, but there may be one animal too many in the house and he and one of our other cats do not get along. We have 4 cats including him and a dog in the household (as well as 3 adults and a toddler) and the house is just under 1,000sqft. He is now neutered and up to date on shots and was treated for and is better from tapeworm from when we got him - also he has a on and off health issue we took him to the vet for and still are working to diagnose. He can be sweet boy, just has some things to work on and would likely do better in a household with just him or less animals in a bigger space. I love him and want him to have a the best life he can, and here may be stressing him out too much. I want him to have the best life he can, even if it’s not with me.

We adopted Suki from a family 3 weeks after he was born. He is now about 3 years old. We adopted him for my daughter as an emotional support pet. Suki is very sweet and loves to cuddle. He is in need of alot of attention. My daughter is now headed to college and I can longer care for him or give him as much attention as he needs. He is a bit of a scary cat when it comes to dogs and other cats as he has not been around any but one time in his life and he will run and hide until he feels comfortable. But he will play with smaller things like bugs. He loves to chase things and run around the house. We are looking for a caring home to love and care for him.

Dobby is an absolute sweetheart that just wants you to love on him. He is very smart ,playful, and listens really well if spoken to softly but doesn’t like loud noises. He likes other cats but prefers to not be in a crowd. It may take him a little bit to get used to new people but will give you so much love once he warms up. Unfortunately we are moving and can’t bring him with us, I’d love to see him in a good home where he will be happy:)

Meow-y Christmas! I don’t know how long I lived alone on the street, but these humans have given me food, water, a shelter, and love for 1 ½ yrs. The vet says I am already spayed and thinks I am about 3yrs old. I guess I was once someone’s pet, but I don’t remember if I was abandoned or if I got lost. I've had my shots. The humans brought me home and said I am allowed to stay inside with them while they find me a good home since it is getting COLD outside! I am using my litter box without any accidents. I feel safe here now, so I thank them by keeping their lap warm and letting them give me cheek scratches. I LOVE cheek scratches! I’m not super playful yet, but I am very calm, affectionate, sweet, and snuggly! I don’t think I like dogs or loud noises. I am happiest in a quiet, easy-going home. Strangers make me nervous, but I promise I will warm up quickly if you offer me patience and friendly smile. Once I know I am safe, I will be by your side and in your heart forever!

Hi, I’m Lily! I was found wandering around an apartment complex with my kittens. I did a great job of raising them, and they’ve all found homes, so I’m hoping it’s my turn now! I am very friendly and gentle. I enjoy being picked up, getting treats, and laying in my hammock to look out the window. I am cautious around new cats but my foster mom thinks I would do well with them as long as we are introduced properly (I’m just a little shy with other kitties because some of the other outdoor cats at the apartment complex were not nice to me). I’m a pretty quiet kitty but I make cute little chirping sounds to show that I’m happy to see you. I am litter trained and use a scratching post. All Dexter’s Cat Rescue pets will go to their new homes spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed and treated for fleas. All cats must be indoors only and keep their claws.
