Story
I found Chester outside, hanging around my complex. He used to cry extremely loudly and near constantly until someone would come sit with him and pet or feed him. Fixed but not ear tipped and extremely emaciated, yet friendly toward humans, I assumed he was abandoned. The maintinence man said he believed he had seen him in another unit years back, and it’s likely someone turned him loose or left him. I fed him here and there and regularly loved on him. At least a couple other people in my apartment complex also feed him occasionally. He also appeared to have a severe flea allergy, considering the bald patches and scabs which closely resembled those that a previous cat of mine had when it had a flea allergy, but those have since healed after treatment. I can't keep him considering I have 2 other cats and can’t comfortably afford a third. However, he is vaccinated and reaching a healthy weight now. The vet says he’s about 7 y/o and has a bit of arthritis. But he’s sweet as can be.

Story
We adopted Suki from a family 3 weeks after he was born. He is now about 3 years old. We adopted him for my daughter as an emotional support pet. Suki is very sweet and loves to cuddle. He is in need of alot of attention. My daughter is now headed to college and I can longer care for him or give him as much attention as he needs. He is a bit of a scary cat when it comes to dogs and other cats as he has not been around any but one time in his life and he will run and hide until he feels comfortable. But he will play with smaller things like bugs. He loves to chase things and run around the house. We are looking for a caring home to love and care for him.

Story
Archie was found as a kitten abandoned in a parking lot. Archie is about 4 years old. He is overly loving and very sweet. He can be a bit anxious at times and timid but he warms up. His best friend, idgie must be adopted with him they are inseparable. She was found as a stray as kitten and is about 3 years old. She is the sweetest cat and loves to cuddle. They are both wonderful cats but unfortunately my mother cannot take care of them any longer due to health issues. They have been around dogs and are okay in a house with some, but they do like their space.

Story
Hi, I’m Lily! I was found wandering around an apartment complex with my kittens. I did a great job of raising them, and they’ve all found homes, so I’m hoping it’s my turn now! I am very friendly and gentle. I enjoy being picked up, getting treats, and laying in my hammock to look out the window. I am cautious around new cats but my foster mom thinks I would do well with them as long as we are introduced properly (I’m just a little shy with other kitties because some of the other outdoor cats at the apartment complex were not nice to me). I’m a pretty quiet kitty but I make cute little chirping sounds to show that I’m happy to see you. I am litter trained and use a scratching post. All Dexter’s Cat Rescue pets will go to their new homes spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed and treated for fleas. All cats must be indoors only and keep their claws. To schedule a meet and greet with this pet, please fill out our adoption application.

Story
Tipper is 8 years young and is a super independent loving little kitty. I rescued him as a kitten at an apartment complex I used to manage after no one claimed him. He has lived with and older/calm dog and did well but would probably not do well with a hyperactive puppy. I also have two small children that he does perfectly fine with, he would just rather wait until they go to bed until he comes and gives me cuddles. He is house/litter box trained and is an indoor cat. He gets curious of the outdoors but won't stay out on the porch long.

Story
I'm rehoming my 1.5-year-old black cat, a playful and curious little guy who always keeps me entertained. He’s full of "boy energy"—mouthy, chatty, and loves neck scratches. One of his unique habits is suckling on blankets, which is the best time to sneak in cuddles, as he’s usually not big on being picked up! He’s quite curious but can be a bit of a scaredy-cat too! Playtime is a must for him; he goes wild for laser pointers and toys. He’d be a great fit for someone who enjoys a lovable, quirky, and sometimes cautious companion.
