Story
Rescued from a flooded shelter in Asheville, Swannanoa and her seven beautiful kittens are ready to flood your hearts with love :). They are all super sweet and playful and love soaking up all the love and attention! They will be ready to go home once they are spayed/neutered this week. At the time you are seeing this post, this cat is still available for adoption. But please know that we may be working on multiple applications already, and any one of them could be approved at any time. Please READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION and complete an adoption application if you are interested in any of our animals. The application can be found at https://greendogsunleashed.org. If you send an inquiry to ask if the cat is still available, or just tell us you are interested, your inquiry will not be answered. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. We can do NOTHING without that. */*/* PLEASE NOTE: We will email you if additional information is needed, so please keep an eye on your inbox and spam folders. */*/* Young kittens will receive age-appropriate vaccines and will be spayed/neutered before adoption. Adopters may be required to provide additional boosters and a rabies vaccine. Future annual vaccines, testing, and healthcare are REQUIRED, and will be the financial responsibility of the adopter. Please note you must submit an application, be approved, and submit a refundable hold deposit before a meet and greet will be scheduled. You can fill out an application here: https://greendogsunleashed.org/adopt While we do allow out-of-state adoptions, the adopter must be able to travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, and meet in person at an agreed-upon time to take their cat home. GDU does ask for a minimum adoption donation of $125.00 for cats. This minimum donation does not cover all expenses as we are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum donation includes age-appropriate vaccines and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying if the animal is medically sound and is unable to undergo surgery. This minimum donation does not even begin to cover each animal's expenses while in rescue, but does go directly towards vet care for our rescue animals. ##2202798##

Story
Meet Oyster, an adorable grey tabby with striking markings that make him truly one of a kind. Rescued from a shelter in Asheville, NC, that was hit hard by the hurricane, Oyster has a special story of resilience and love. This sweet boy has a loving personality and a purr that can be heard across the room. He may have a little bit of “resting grumpy face,” but don’t let that fool you—he’s as affectionate as they come! Oyster is always ready for cuddles and will let you know when it’s mealtime with his assertive, yet endearing, meow. He loves when I vacuum as the vacuum is yet another toy to play with! Oyster is looking for a forever home where he can show off his sweet and sassy charm. At the time you are seeing this post, this cat is still available for adoption. Snowy and Tom are a bonded 10 year old male pair. They are extremely healthy and have lived indoors in one home with one loving owner since small kittens. Their owner passed away this past summer at 92 years young. These beautiful guys have served as devoted companions to their owner. They love to cuddle and snooze with you. Snowy (with the blue eyes) is a little more independent than Tom. Snowy is curious and adjusts to new surroundings. Tom is a big beautiful man with a bullseye on his fur. Tom is most happy cradled next to you. Both love to be brushed. Tom is declawed. Both have been neutered and are up to date on shots. Reach out to us if interested!

Story
Looking to rehome our cat Merlin. We’ve had him since he was 6 months old. He’s fixed and microchipped. Unfortunately, due to life events we can no longer provide the home he deserves. With our very busy schedules, he needs someone that is able to provide him a more stable home where he can receive the time and attention he deserves. He comes from a house with very small children and a medium size dog and has no issues with any occupants. Up to date on all vaccines and can provide a vaccination history from his current vet. Merlin eats urinary tract health dry food as he had urinary tract issues when he was younger. When extremely stressed, this can flare. Merlin is an indoor cat but is very curious about the outdoors. He loves sitting in the window watching the birds. His favorite toys are little pompom balls that he gleefully bats around the house. He will even play fetch when the mood strikes him. Merlin comes with a litter box, carrier, cat scratcher pad and a bag of pompoms.

Story
CLIFFHANGER IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! This is Cliffhanger, a lovely tabby/white small female kitty who was born around 6/28/2023.  She is very affectionate and playful. She loves NAPS.  If you cannot find her, she is likely snuggled up taking a nap.  The perfect work-from-home companion kitty.  She loves to play and loves all cat toys and is definitely loads of fun. She loves to find an open drawer to snuggle in and she is very inquisitive. She could probably be a single kitty, but would also do well with a friendly low-key kitty.  She has never been around dogs and is not recommended for a dog home. She is neutered, has had all age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and a confirmed NEGATIVE FIV/FeLV test.  The adoption fee of $295 also includes the transport to CT.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring her up north once she is adopted. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and complete an online application using this link: http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.   Once your application is received and processed you will be contacted by an NBAR Volunteer. THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm
