American Shorthair kittens & cats in Ponchatoula, Louisiana

We have several cats needing outside homes where they can roam, cat catch mice, and be an outside pet. Most are friendly and will come up for food and can be pet. We trap and remove them from parking lots where they are trying to survive, but need a place to call home and feed daily.October 28, 2024, 10:47 am

These sweet babies' mother belongs to an elderly couple who simply became overwhelmed with the new additions, and reached out to us for help. We're so happy that Mama Cat has been spayed and the kittens are staying with an amazing foster while they receive their medical care (Reese's eyes are currently being treated) and learn social skills. Kiki is a sweet baby girl. She was found a month ago at our front door. We fed her for a week before bringing her in because she was so insistent to come inside. She is potty trained, loves laying in laps and giving sweet headbutts, and is the most mild mannered kitty ever. The vets thought she was the sweetest little girl. I would keep her, but unfortunately, she tested positive for FIV, and I have two nonFIV cats (one elderly). She has no microchip. She really is the sweetest little bit.

Urgently looking to rehome my 10 yr. old cat Scooby. Had a death in family and need to go out of town for 4-6 months to pack up and sell house. Need to leave by the 7th of Dec. Had someone to take him but they backed out at last minute due to other commitments. Scooby has been neutered, and litterbox trained. He gets along with other cats. Trained not to get on counters, and not to get underfoot in kitchen. He's not a lap cat but does like to sleep in bed and be petted. Scooby, a male tiger, is independent, loves to play with his laser light and string toy and is both an indoor/outdoor cat. Loves to lay on his window perch sunning himself. I'd prefer not to let him go, and would like to readopt him when I return if possible. I'd prefer not to have to give him up to the Humane Society.
