American Shorthair kittens & cats in Queen Creek, Arizona

I took in two kitties from my coworker because they were living in her garage during the summer and wanted them to have a better place to live. I already have two cats and I’m unfortunately moving into a smaller apartment and don’t have the room for them. They get along with other cats very well. They are shy at first but warm up pretty fast and are good when guests are over. They love going outside and playing with toys. Hazel is very cuddly and meows when she wants attention. Bucky is her sister and is more independent, but still loves getting pets.

Larry is a loving young cat. He likes to have his head scratched and he is very active. Larry is fast and likes to go outside. Because of my recent knee surgery I move slowly to he runs outside but he always returns The rv park I live in does not want pets to be outside. This is why I have to let him go. I can't keep up with him anymore.

Maximus was a rescue. He is a very sweet and loving little boy. He knows his name quite well but will only come when called if he feels like it, but that is typical for a cat. Maxi is also very timid when around people that he does not know but once he feels he is safe he opens up and is very playful and sweet. He is very easy to love and will give tons of love as long as he knows he will be loved in return. He is a wonderful, handsome boy. He has spent his entire life with Nala, who is also up for rehoming. They are very closely bonded and I think they would both be devastated if they are not together. They really love each other.

Nala is so sweet. She loves to be loved and she gives love in her own way. Meaning, she will choose her person and then she is stuck at the hip. She always wants to be with her person. She loves cuddling in her person's lap and just being around her person. Actually she loves being around everyone, but the person she chooses gets a little extra from her. She will not always allow anyone to pick her up. She doesnt seem to like that very much. But if she wants to give love to you, she expects you to accept it on her terms. She is also very funny. She will entertain you for as long as you want her to or, if she decides she's bored, she will just walk away and leave you to find other entertainment. She is fun to be with. I am sad to give her up, but she needs more time and attention than I can give her. I am a single cat mom and I work very long hours, leaving her and Maxi alone for quite a bit of time. They both deserve more time and love than I am able to give them.

He has lived in a shelter  for a number of years after his owner passed away.  Prince is a very cautious guy around new humans but loves the company of other cats. He has come a long way since first arriving at the shelter. He enjoys being brushed, rubbed with scatcher, and petted on his back. He loves Fancy Feast too! Prince would be consider a "socially awkward cat".  What is a socially awkward cat?  Some cats are shy, timid, or fearful of people and other cats. They may hide, avoid, or even lash out when approached by strangers. These cats are not mean or unlovable; they are just socially awkward and need extra time and patience to trust and bond with their human companions. They may never become affectionate lap cats, but they have their own unique ways of showing love and appreciation. If you are looking for a cat who will challenge you, surprise you, and reward you with loyalty and devotion, then you might be the perfect match for one of our socially awkward cats.   Because these cats require more patience and understanding than most, we have a few special policies regarding them:   We will ask more questions about your home environment, other pets, children, and other details to make sure you are the right match for the cat. We typically arrange video meet-and-greets for these cats for the initial contact. Most of these cats get stressed out by new situations, and allowing them to be seen without that stress trigger makes for a better experience for everyone. We may discount the adoption fees for these cats. Sonja is a kitty I rescued, she has been inside with me since she was attacked by a dog in August '22. She is FIV+, which just means she needs to be indoors and well cared for. She is a sweet, smart, feisty girl, with a unique look. She loves being combed, playing with wand toys, horizontal scratchers are LIFE for her. She likes to sing the song of her people sometimes but I think it is because she is lonely, I have 3 resident cats and work long hours so I can’t be with her as much I she needs.
