Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Tumwater, WA This is an amazingly fantastic nearly PERFECT dog. Fantastic with all dogs, look how she plays so gently with an 11 lb dog. She loves everyone, dog and human, she is quiet. Couldn't ask for a better dog. https://youtu.be/rq5ftrTTu9Y JERSEY is approximately 2 yrs old and weighs 55#. She came to us with a litter of 12 puppies that were only about 3 weeks old!!! The story is that the gentleman that brought her to us was in the country and down the street he observed an SUV pull over; place a large black trash bag out on the side of the road and then kick mama dog out and took off. He stopped and opened the bag and there were 12 puppies about 3 weeks old!!! Surprisingly all in good condition. He brought the whole bunch to us. We placed them in our house in an area to the side but not isolated. She got along with ALL of our dogs and had no problems with having all these strange dogs so close to her puppies. She took good care of them and they all lived... very unusual for such a large litter. She worked her way into our routine of the dogs going outside to potty in the back yard so she we could tell she was house trained. She would come in when called and didn't get into any trouble. Her only fault is that she will go after cats...other than that, she really is a perfect dog. She has the sweetest, loving personality. She loves "treat" time and begs with her big brown eyes. She will stay in a confined area or kennel without any struggle or sound. She has not shown ANY aggressiveness of any kind...even though she is Pit Bull. She will make a great companion and the Pit Bull appearance makes her a good guard dog (even though I think she'd probably let the burglar in :). Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Rosie has lots of love to give! She loves people and other dogs, and is always looking to make a new friend. She was adopted in January and we work on positive-reinforcement based training throughout our daily routine. She is making great progress with leash walking, impulse control, engage/disengage, and boundaries. I am so proud of how far she has come in our time together! Rosie is high-energy and has a very high prey drive triggered by squirrels. New things are very exciting for her, so she needs patience from her humans as she learns how to experience the world by going slowly. She also needs lots of engagement/mental stimulation, and will need a home that is prepared to continue working on training. Unfortunately, I feel that I can no longer fully meet her needs with my work schedule. I used to be able to work from home part of the day but that is changing. I live alone in an apartment. Rosie would be so happy with space to run around and play with another dog friend!

Story
Meet Dipper, the 1-year-old dashing brindle boy with tiger stripes and a heart of gold (even if it takes a minute for him to show it)! At 57 pounds, this one-year-old Scooby-Doo runner is a charming mix of shy, sweet, and slightly goofy. He may approach new friends with a tucked tail and a little flinch, but don’t be fooled; once he knows you’re cool, he transforms into a bouncing, bowing buddy who can’t get enough pets and treats. Dipper is a bit of a treat connoisseur and has mastered the art of the gentle snack grab (we’re talking five-star paw-dining etiquette). While he`s a little hesitant on first approach, the moment you call him over, he’s all zoomies and wiggles. This guy has perfected the “not-so-smooth-but-totally-endearing” Scooby-Doo dash—just call his name, and watch as he takes off on a wobbly, joyful sprint straight to you! He`s polite on the leash, respects personal space, and is curious to explore without crossing any lines. Dipper’s looking for a patient home that understands his shy side, loves his playful side, and is ready to enjoy a lifetime of brindle-coated zoomies, endless treats, and one sweet boy who’s so worth the wait. Come meet Dipper and see if you’re the missing piece to his perfect pack! The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DHPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), and Pyrantel (dewormer). Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.
