Story
Blue is a 2.5 year old Pitt/ Lab mix. I rescued Blue 2 months ago from a shelter. She’d been living on the streets prior to the shelter & needed a lot of TLC. She wasn’t leashed trained, potty trained or really trained in anyway. She’s come a long way! She’s easy to walk now, knows a few basic commands and is potty trained. She LOVES being around other dogs & is surprisingly non-reactive to small animals like cats, squirrels and bunnies. I don’t own a cat, so I’m not sure how she’d behave with one in the house. She’s shy at first, but a total goofball once she feels safe & comfortable. Unfortunately, fatigue caused by my Rheumatoid Arthritis has made keeping up with Blue a bigger challenge than I anticipated. I’ve hired help to walk her & started her at doggie daycare, but she’d do best with a larger yard, more walks & hopefully a playmate! She also has separation anxiety when left home alone, so adopter should be prepared to give her time to feel secure in her new surroundings.

Story
Meet Laffy Taffy Candy! He is currently almost 6 weeks old, and we think he may be a Pit/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Laffy Taffy's video here: This adorable and handsome little fellow will have you smiling and chuckling, and actively trying to keep his cute tail wagging. (It doesn't take much to keep it wagging - this is one happy boy!) We love to watch him explore his surroundings, often showing off his largest and longest stretches. He enjoys all the attention and affection you can give him, and will return it all with plenty of kisses, tail wags, and even a few adorable grunts. (You laugh, but his tiny grunts are so endearing!) Like his siblings, Laffy Taffy is a shiny silky black with a pop of white at his chest, and just a wisp of white on his chin. He has the cutest floppy ears and large eyes that are so expressive. Laffy Taffy may be the largest boy of the litter, but he's still just a tiny dollop of love and kisses, and snuggles sweetly in your arms at every opportunity. We love his affectionate and happy nature, and you are sure to fall just as hard for Laffy Taffy as we have. This debonair pup is currently in a loving and experienced foster home with all of his siblings. Laffy Taffy comes from a litter of 6, so he enjoys playing with his siblings and take lots of naps (he's usually the pup at the bottom of the nap pile). Eat, sleep, play, repeat - Laffy Taffy is living his best puppy life - all he needs now is YOU! Laffy Taffy is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67394357bb46b626cd011d88 Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.
