Story
Meet Brawny, a bodacious bundle of blundering bliss! He loves to frolic, do zoomies with his dog friends, and then is ready to cuddle up on the couch for a movie night.   This guy loves spending time with his humans and he adores having a dog friend! His ideal canine playmate is confident, easy going, and sturdy who can handle his rough and tumble ways. Brawny likes to bumble about and will sometimes bowl into anyone in his path, so he would appreciate someone who can take a hit, get back up, and go for more!  Brawny is super smart and eager to please, making training a pleasure! Are you looking for a hiking buddy? Look no further! Brawny loves the quiet outdoors and can’t wait to discover secluded trails and open fields with you and his doggy companion!  A sensitive soul, Brawny is looking for leadership and consistency in his forever home. He thrives with routine and boundaries, and once he bonds with someone, he’ll be a bro for life!  Brawny has spent some time around cats and just wanted to avoid them, so we think he would be ok in a home with kitties with proper introductions.  Brawny is about 4 years old and weighs 70 pounds. He is a Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix and 100% good boy! If interested in adopting Brawny, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application  Brawny’s adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped.  Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. Story
Harrison is a stunning brindle sweetheart with a heart as big as his paws and he is looking for his forever home! This charming boy is the perfect mix of laid-back and loving and is ready to make a lucky family’s life brighter! Harrison is a loyal companion and is happiest when he’s near his people, often resting by your side or adorably draping his legs across your lap. When his people leave the house, he patiently watches out the window waiting for them to return.  A stuffed toy aficionado, Harrison LOVES stuffed toys and delights in carrying them around the house. He even gathers them into a cozy pile to lounge with—seriously, how cute is that? He also enjoys going for walks and leisurely strolls in quiet neighborhoods or open fields. Leisurely walks and stuffed toy snuggle piles, sign us up!  Harrison has a gentle, serious demeanor—think tall, dark, and handsome, with a heart of gold. He’s wonderful with older kids (10+) and takes treats like a true gentleman. He has firm ideas about bedtime and even puts himself to bed when it gets dark outside. Hysterical!  Recently, Harrison has started to expand his social circle and has become friends with other mellow dogs. With slow introductions, he could potentially join a home with a laid-back pup, or be perfectly content as the only dog in your life. Harrison is 9 years old and weighs 75 pounds. He is a pit bull type dog who can’t wait to find his family! If you’re ready for a devoted, affectionate, and oh-so-handsome companion, Harrison could be for you!  Harrison's adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Harrision at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application See more photos of Harrison on his Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.531973772305648&type=3 ##1588253##

Tinsley is incredibly sweet, sensitive and smart and she’s ready to steal your heart! She adores her people and is eager to find her special person; get ready for some serious love and devotion! This clever girl is as smart as they come and lives for treats and praise. Give her a job, and she'll be your most devoted sidekick! Learning new tricks is her jam, and she's a quick study. Scent work and agility courses? Count her in!  Tinsley would love to have a confident dog friend in her home. She adores playing and has a rough and tumble play style with other dogs. A friend who appreciates a good tussle and can be tolerant of her silly antics would be her ideal match. Bonus points for a home with a large yard to romp in with her friend, and tall fences she won’t be able to jump over! This inquisitive girl LOVES to use her nose! Tinsley is all about getting her sniff on and being able to thoroughly investigate new environments. She is also great in the car and is the perfect copilot.  Once she gets her energy out, Tinsley is more than content to curl up on the couch next to you. Snuggles or lounging close to her human while they work is her favorite way to relax! She isn’t very comfortable being left alone and would be happiest in a home where someone is home most of the time.  We estimate Tinsley to be around 4 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. She is a pit bull type dog who radiates happiness! If you are looking for a dog to dazzle you with their sweetness and smarts, then Tinsley could be your girl! Story
Maggie is ready to find her forever home! This lovable, easygoing, and special girl is sure to bring immense joy to her lucky family!  Maggie has cerebellar abiotrophy, a genetic neurological disease affecting balance and coordination. While Maggie is a bit wobbly on her feet, she doesn't seem to notice! She is a happy and enthusiastic pup who loves life! Because of her instability, she would do best without a lot of stairs and a level yard. Mags is treat motivated, potty trained, and does anything her foster mom asks. She is such a well behaved lady and has recently discovered the joy of playing with toys! She gets so excited when she gets a new toy, and her snuggle sessions with her teddy bear are precious. Maggie loves accompanying her foster to work and spends her days going around the office saying hi to everyone. Car rides are also a favorite!  This lovely girl adores going on walks and is a pleasure on leash. Although she can't walk long distances, she loves her strolls and taking time to smell the roses.  Maggie is good with other dogs, but can become insecure if she stumbles or falls so it's important to give her space and understanding. A gentle canine companion would be a great fit for her, or she would also be happy as a solo pup. Maggie did well meeting a kitty, so could be able to go to a home with cats with proper introductions.  Maggie is a pit bull type dog and weighs in at 70 pounds. While cerebellar abiotrophy is progressive, there is a wide range in the terms of the progression of the disease. Since Maggie is 4 years old already and has only comparatively mild neurological signs, this indicates Maggie's disease will hopefully continue to only slowly progress. A neurology recheck is recommended every six months to monitor. Maggie is an extraordinary dog who deserves a loving forever home where she can be cherished for the incredible companion she is! If interested in adopting Maggie, please fill out an application at https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application Maggie’s adoption fee is $450 and she is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. ##1653548##

Story
Hi, my name is Coco and I am available for adoption!Watch Coco`s adoption video!I am an affectionate love bug who likes to meet every person I come across, and if they let me, I will give them a kiss! My prior owners were seniors. They brought me to the shelter when they were no longer able to care for me and said that I was outgoing, loving, playful, and a true Prince.I was a bit chonky when I first came to the shelter on April 14, but now I am at a much healthier weight at around 69 pounds. I do love my food and will happily do (almost) anything you ask for a treat!I may be a senior dog, but I still have plenty of get up and go for adventures or play sessions! If you take me for a walk or let me enjoy a good chew toy, I am happy to hang out while you work or binge watch your favorite show. I prefer to do my snoozing on a comfy dog bed, couch, or on your bed with you!At my foster home, I like to look out the window and watch what is going on and if a dog goes by, I will bark and whine because I am excited to see them. I do not really like to see cats or squirrels so I will let them know that. I need a home with no cats or small animals. My prior owners said I was dog-reactive. I am showing some reactivity in my foster home, but when I was at the shelter, I participated in play groups with other dogs my size and seemed to really enjoy it! My foster caregiver tries to take me on walks early in the morning when there are less dogs out and about. I am working on seeing dogs without reacting. Sometimes I can do it, other times it is harder for me. Hopefully my forever home will continue to work on this with me as I love my walks! My foster caregiver thinks I would enjoy a home where my people are home more often than not as I really like spending time with people. I do not have to be by your side all the time, but I like to know you are there with me. I have been learning it is okay to stay by myself. At first, I whined and barked, but I am much quieter and relaxed now that I am learning my people will come back and also have access to the couch to snooze on while I am alone. I am a bit of a couch potato! My foster caregiver says I am the perfect mix of chill and silliness. She tells me I am such a sweet boy and hopes that I will find a forever home soon!

Story
Hi! My name is Karma and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on June 6, 2024 after I was abandoned in a park. I was adopted and returned on September 21, 2024 because I had some pretty bad separation anxiety. My previous adopter states that I did great with men, women, children and large dogs, but not a fan of small dogs or cats. They described me as active, very sweet and cuddly. My only fault is my separation anxiety, so I am looking for family that will work with me on that :)I weigh 55.0 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I must admit I was really shut down when I first arrived at RASKC. I am starting to realize that the people here are really nice, but I am still very stressed. I am really looking forward to going to a new home where it`s cozy and quiet. My caregivers mention that I walk well on leash and potty-trained for the most part!I have been out to doggy playgroup and overall did well! Ask the staff about my playgroup experience. I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!

Hi! My name is Bauble and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on 11/08/24.I weigh 57lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, but I am also a very sweet and wiggly boy. So, you`ll need food or treats to bribe me to do tricks!I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home! I am very loving and energetic boy. I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm and nearby. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caretakers had me out with a few other dogs for Playgroups and I did rather well! I need a friend who has a bit of patience with me, and a playful attitude. So far, I seem to get along with the ladies best like Daikon(A718392) and Goldie(A705226). When introducing me to a new friend, it is always best to start with a slow introduction on neutral territory. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Hello! My name is Wishbone. I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m ready to find a new home! I`m a sweet but low key boy who needs time to get to know people before I get affectionate. Nothing is known about my history but my behavior suggests I may not have been well socialized. This means that everyday experiences may frighten me more than the average pup. I will need a home that understands my shyness and is willing to go at my pace. I`ve been very loving with the staff members who frequent my kennel and spend time with me - I like to put my big head in their lap and get those sweet, sweet ear rubs. I love chicken jerky treats and will be the bravest boy possible if it means I`ll get one! I keep a clean kennel and am polite for leashing. Due to my size and fearfulness, I will be most likely to succeed in a teen/adult only home where my boundaries can be easily understood and respected. I weigh 60lbs and am considered a large breed dog. I am currently underweight, my new family will want to work with their vet to help me get to the proper size. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Hi there! My name is Goldie. I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m looking for a new home! I`m a sweet but bouncy and energetic girl! I love life and spending it being active. I`m a big fan of food and have a special love for puzzles that really work my brain. Due to my bouncy nature, I am most likely to succeed with older children. I keep a pretty clean kennel as long as I`m let out every few hours so I`m well on my way to potty training! My caretakers noticed I do well with other, same sized dogs. I have a good time out in the yard with my new Playmate Bauble(A719743), we like to chase each other around and wrestle a bit. When meeting a new dog in a home, it would be best to do a SLOW introduction. I can rile myself up, and I am looking for a friend who will help keep me calm.I weigh 46lbs and am considered a medium/large dog. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality!
