Story
Nyiri (Nigh-ear-E) aka Ny, NyNy and Bubbles, is pit mix born in April 2021. She is wonderful with people and children, even younger toddlers. She would most likely prefer to be the only canine in her home to soak up all the love from her people. She would do best in a home without another female dog, smaller dogs or cats. Her favorite activity is snuggling up to her people. She literally has such a bubbly personality and when excited makes tons of cute noises. Nyiri will require a home with fully fenced yard, she is not recommended for apartment living. Her ideal home would be with adults or adults and children over 5 (although exceptions might be made for the right home). Applications can be accessed at www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Meet Sasha, this pretty little girl is a Pitbull /Dalmatian mix. Born approximately May 1st 2022, she is in search of her forever home. Sasha will do best in a home with at least one other playful canine companion. She is cat???, dog???and kid ??friendly (over age 5 for children please) She is very much a Velcro dog, loves close snuggles with her people, especially at night(yes, she sleeps with her people), she snores when sleeping ? and will smack her lips and wiggle when dreaming. She is crate trained but her preference is free roam. She is not a fan of car rides ?, needs work on her leash manners and is a huge fan of public speaking ????. She’s a big fan of WWE ????style play and sounds LOUD when wrestling around with her canine siblings. She needs a durable companion. Sasha will require a home with a fully fenced yard and a family that will continue to work on training and leash/car confidence. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Milton and I come to you today in search of my forever home. Let me share a bit about myself. I am a stunningly handsome American Husky/Pitbull Terrier born approximately Feb. 2023 …. a true gentleman never reveals his actual age 😂. I get along well with other dogs, although typically prefer the more submissive males and females. Cats are a hard no for me as I like to chase them a bit to much. I’ve had some good training through Mattox Dog Training academy and was in the running to be a service dog! Although I didn’t make the cut, I came very close. I need a home with a secure fence as I like jumping them from time to time. However I’m making great strides in understanding I shouldn’t. I enjoy a good bath and tolerate nail trims like a champ! I’m housebroken and do just fine hanging out in a kennel when needed - although like all dogs, I don’t enjoy kenneling for long periods of time. I would love a home with another playful canine companion. I would live my best life with humans who are active, keep me engaged and continue training me as I am a smart boy! I want to be part of a family or a person’s most loyal companion. Children are great - but I’d do best in a home with kids who are over 5 who understand I may accidentally knock them over. Please apply for me, I promise to be the bestest boy ever!” Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Meet lovely Saiga! Born approximately July 26, 2021 she came to us via Tri City Animal Control. We initially treated her for parvo while in the care of animal control-she was lined up to go to a rescue in western WA when her former owners came forward and took her back into their care. Fast forward a bit and she landed back at animal control, we couldn’t let her remain in the shelter and so here she is! Saiga is amazing with people-she has the best kisses and loves human affection. Saiga's only weakness is that she's not good with other animals so will need to be in an only dog home. Even after training she is not safe around other animals so it's very important that she's adopted as an only pet. She will require a secure 6 foot fence - no chain link and no exceptions. Saiga has a lot of love to give and will make a great companion. Her best fit home will be an adult only one. Applications to foster or adopt Saiga can be submitted at www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Cooper is one of those amazing pups that has been waiting for his forever home since he was only 8 weeks old. “Everyone wants a puppy!” Is the common thought, but if that is true, why is Cooper now a year old and still not in his forever home? Cooper is good with kids, other dogs and he find cats interesting. He has been to training classes, likes learning new things, doing new things and requires regular exercise (not just a back yard to hang out in). Being a bully breed, Cooper does have allergy issues and is on a daily medication. His foster is awaiting test results to learn what all he is allergic to. He may even require a special diet to keep his allergies at bay. If you are committed to meeting the needs of this amazing pup, please fill out our adoption questionnaire. We are increasingly doing "foster-to-adopt" arrangements, so if you'd like to take this pup for a trial period before committing, we're good with that. Just ask the adoption counselor! It's a great way to make sure that everyone's a good fit for each other before signing on the dotted line. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in adopting this or another POPP dog? Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://www.popptricities.org/adopt/adoption-questionnaire-canine/ If you have any questions. please E-mail us at dogsadopt@popptricities.org. ADOPTION PACKAGES: Our puppy or dog adoption fee of $300 includes a lovable, non-judgmental canine companion, and a free vet exam. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Your adoption fee helps support POPP and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

Story
Koda is seeking a quiet home to live out her senior years.... though she's not quite ready to be called a senior! Her DOB is August 12, 2016, making her seven years young. She is good with other dogs, but who does she really love? PEOPLE! Koda has never lived with children, but older children would be just fine. She loves her daily walks, carrots and other snacks, car rides and just hanging out. She likes affection, but she can have an "aloof" side to her too, so if you're looking for a dog who will love you but knows when to quit, Koda may be your girl! She's content to take a nap and chill. While Koda has never lived with a cat, she did encounter one in her foster home's backyard the other day, and her reaction was good, so cats are a maybe??? Koda is used to her crate, including sleeping in it at night, and she is completely housetrained.
