Blue is a 2.5 year old Pitt/ Lab mix. I rescued Blue 2 months ago from a shelter. She’d been living on the streets prior to the shelter & needed a lot of TLC. She wasn’t leashed trained, potty trained or really trained in anyway. She’s come a long way! She’s easy to walk now, knows a few basic commands and is potty trained. She LOVES being around other dogs & is surprisingly non-reactive to small animals like cats, squirrels and bunnies. I don’t own a cat, so I’m not sure how she’d behave with one in the house. She’s shy at first, but a total goofball once she feels safe & comfortable. Unfortunately, fatigue caused by my Rheumatoid Arthritis has made keeping up with Blue a bigger challenge than I anticipated. I’ve hired help to walk her & started her at doggie daycare, but she’d do best with a larger yard, more walks & hopefully a playmate! She also has separation anxiety when left home alone, so adopter should be prepared to give her time to feel secure in her new surroundings.

I was given Rosie a little over a year ago from a friend who was moving away and couldn't take her with him. It was supposed to a temporary thing because a relative was planning on taking her in but that fell through, so I kept her. But now I am unable to give her the time and support she needs. Rosie is a very healthy dog aside from her allergies which I have been able to keep under control with apoquel once daily. Rosie needs a home with a fenced backyard and an owner that is able to spend time with her. She is a very loving sweet dog that will cuddle and nap all day if you let her. She is very protective of what she thinks is her house or her backyard. A slow formal introduction to new people is highly advised.

Bubbles is a 1.5 year old love bug who just wants to play with her people. She LOVES kids. Kids are her FAVORITE. She can sit, lie down, kennel, and do a brief stay. She is HIGHLY food motivated and will play fetch for HOURS. She is vocal- if she’s unsure about something she will bark. She warms to people quickly- especially if you offer a dog treat or some cheese. Bubbles will ring bells hung from the door to let you know it’s potty time, but she doesn’t have much time after that. She can go all night and sleeps in her kennel. She does chase cats and squirrels, and needs a tall fence to keep her home safe (or constant supervision outside). Sadly she gets extremely car sick, but she can take meds for a long drive. She is eager to please, gets her nails trimmed and baths without struggle. Unfortunately she really needs to be an only dog, and due to changing circumstances I cannot keep her any longer. I love her so much

Fortunately, Doc and his siblings were quickly rescued, and have thrived in their foster home with excellent care, growing into gorgeous, healthy young pups. Doc is kind of an independent little guy, but he does love cuddling with his humans. He plays hard with his sister, Oreo, but he is otherwise a pretty easy going little guy. She was found and rescued as a puppy from the side of a road in North Carolina during June of 2020, and was estimated to be approximately 8 weeks old at that time. She has lived with her current owners ever since. Recce has thrived in a full loving home of two adults and three kids as a family dog. She has always been great with the children and displayed maternal care when presented with new puppy siblings as a young adult. Since a puppy, she has grown up with a male English Lab of similar age. Her Lab counterpart seemed to compliment her well and was her first k9 socialization. At around 2 years of age she gained the aformentioned siblings, a puppy male German shepard and shortly later a puppy female Husky mix. Recce was observed displaying maternal behavior and care for each puppy during the early stages of their growth. All this time, Recce has seemingly maintained her position as the alpha of the group.
