His ideal family would have previous bully breed experience and own their own home. Buddy would do best in a home with a polite, playful female dog or may be content to be your one and only, a meet and greet is required with any resident canines. This guy will require a feline free home. We don`t have any history on this sweet guy with children so children in the home should be 10 years and older as he is a strong, energetic dude. Buddy is an expert escape artist and will need to have a good confinement plan and supervision when outside.Buddy went out with our Wandering Rover program and they had this to say about him: Buddy is an amazing dog! He does very well in the car while it is moving! When you stop, he likes to talk and whine but he stops as soon as you start driving again! He walks very well on the leash and has definitely had previous training as I got him to sit and speak!! He seems more food motivated than toy but he still carried a stuffed animal around the park! Buddy has some separation anxiety and would need someone that can spend time with him!Another Rovers said: We took Buddy for a car ride, a walk on a trail, a visit to Petco, and a picnic in the park. He was fairly high anxiety for the first hour or so, especially in the car, but he did calm down after getting to know us and going for a long walk. He did show some separation anxiety- if one of us walked away he would whine until we came back. We had a great time with Buddy. He is anxious at first but settled down nicely after a walk and some time. He loves to walk and sniff and had a lot of fun walking on some trails. We took him to Petco and he was very good. He met a ton of people and did great- he even picked a toy and carried it up to the register himself- so cute! He takes treats like a gentleman, but doesn’t seem very food motivated. Overall, Buddy is a sweet and sensitive boy and with some time and patience his personality really shines.

Hey guys, I'm Chook, which means Chicken in Australian! Fancy, amiright? I am a Bully Breed mix with a soft, rich red coat and quirky ears. I'm not very big, maybe 42 pounds. My story is an eventful one, as I was rescued from a situation where a bystander was trying to be helpful, but unfortunately couldn't keep up with the responsibilities of being a private foster pawrent. Thankfully, I met my current foster pawrents though! I'm luckier than a lot of dogs, because they're Dog Trainers! How cool is that?! They've been teaching me all kinds of cool things, like sit, down, or my favorite Place! Oh, and how to respond to directional guidance on the leash. They even said they'd help my new pawrents by offering a few lessons to help with my transition to a new home! I am shy in the beginning, but I'm a rootin, tootin little bullet when I'm comfortable. I love to vocalize and run around like a silly goose in the backyard. I'd do okay in a house with older teens, but absolutely no young children. I have a VERY mouthy play style when I am playing with my humans. I am very very dog social, though I can be a bit pushy at times, but I am easily corrected.
