Story
This is my pup Laxus, I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old, he is now an almost 2 year old pitbull who needs a loving home that can accommodate to his needs. Unfortunately he is not good with children, and I am pregnant and cannot put my soon to be child at risk. Other than being reactive towards kids and dogs, he is great with people once he warms up to you. His favorite place to snuggle is your lap. He would benefit most from living in a home with a backyard so he can run and play. He is a sweet, silly guy who loves attention and pets. He loves his chew toys as well.

Story
Animal Profile: Skillet was adopted from DGS in March of 2025 and is a 2.5-year-old bully breed mix with a big heart and even bigger enthusiasm for life. She’s friendly with people and absolutely loves to play, but her joyful, ruff-and-tumble play style can be a bit much for more reserved dogs. Unfortunately, this has made it difficult for her to thrive in her current home, as the resident dog is uncomfortable with her exuberance. With additional family moving in with cats (which Skillet is not compatible with), the difficult decision was made to rehome her so she can have her needs fully met. Skillet has foundational training and is both house-trained and crate-trained. She recently underwent TPLO surgery and is recovering beautifully. While she would happily play with every dog she meets, Skillet has that classic “bull in a china shop” body awareness and her playful style isn’t for everyone! Because of this, she would do best with a bully-breed-savvy family, either as an only dog or with a well-matched, balanced dog. Skillet has not lived with children, but due to her high energy and enthusiasm, we recommend a home with older kids only. With the right environment, guidance, and understanding, Skillet will make a fun, loving, and loyal companion. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fees benefit all the animals in our rescue, and may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Story
Animal Information: Hazel is a 1-year-old terrier mix weighing 44 pounds with a soft heart and a resilient spirit. She was originally adopted as a puppy from  Stanislaus Animal Services Agency , later given away, and eventually surrendered by the family who took her in. By the time she arrived back at the shelter, Hazel was overwhelmed and shut down, unsure of what to expect next. With patience and consistency, her true personality began to shine. Hazel has become a staff favorite, known for her gentle nature and steady temperament. She has a natural ability to put other dogs at ease and now serves as the shelter’s go-to dog tester. Hazel does well with dogs of all ages and sizes, reading social cues appropriately and adjusting her play style to match her companion. After more than six weeks in the shelter, Hazel was at risk simply due to her length of stay. Thanks to glowing staff notes and some heart-melting videos, she earned her freedom ride to the Pacific Northwest for a fresh start. We can't wait to meet her! Foster Profile: All we can do is gush about this goofy girl. Hazel is doing exceptionally well in foster care. She adores her foster brofur and sister, and has been an excellent house guest. Hazel attended her first meet and greet and was friendly with anyone who wanted to say hi. She is looking for a home with at least one other canine companion, ideally with a fenced yard outside of the city.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus Shelter in Modesto. She will be transferred via START, arriving to foster care on 03/11/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 25, 2026, 6:06 pm

Story
It absolutely breaks my heart to say this, but we are needing to find our velvet hippo a new home. This is Oreo. He's just over 4 years old, I was told he's full pitty but honestly don't believe it. He's a great dog, but my son's special needs have escalated to the point they arent safe together. He's full of energy and needs someone who can keep him active and stimulated a lot. He does have some trauma and can react with hostility, particularly with aggressive dogs or the vet. Trainer says all of it is fixable with time and dedication. If you have any questions please let me know. No rehoming fees or anything, we just want to find him a safe home where he can be the happy-go-lucky puppy he deserves. Thank you.

Story
Waiting for over 5 years with us! FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! ❤️ Little Mama is a sweet and lovable pittie mix. She is ~6 years old and weighs around 45lbs. Little Mama would love to find her forever family so she can have endless pets and romps around her very own yard! Little Mama bonds to her people and will love her forever family very deeply. She would love a family that has a home and yard to explore and play in. She enjoys walks, cuddling on the couch, zoomies in the yard and treats! She is extremely sweet, has a fun personality and her favorite things are walks with her person, pets and cuddles. Little Mama prefers to be the only pet in the home so no other dogs or cats. She can walk fine around other dogs (walks or hikes) just as long as they are not in her personal space/within touching distance. She is UTD on her shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $250.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🤠🐾 Meet Lubbock — The Little Cowboy of Puppy Shenanigans 🐾🤠 Male • 3 Months Old • ~12 lbs • Boxer / Malinois Mix (best guess) This handsome little guy is Lubbock, a 3-month-old, 12-pound bundle of curiosity, wiggles, and future adventure buddy greatness. Right now he’s in the early stages of puppyhood — which basically means life is one big exciting experiment involving toys, zoomies, snacks, and investigating absolutely everything. Lubbock can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but don’t worry — he has one very effective weakness: treats. Offer a snack and suddenly you’re upgraded to “trusted human” status. Being very food motivated means he’s also going to be a rock star student when it comes to training. One thing Lubbock is already very confident about? Dogs are awesome. He absolutely loves other dogs and will need a home with a friendly, confident canine sibling to help guide him and continue building his confidence. Having a dog buddy means playtime, learning the house rules, and of course — proper nap pile formation. Lubbock is also learning important puppy skills like walking on a leash and exploring the world around him. Every day is a new adventure, and he approaches it all with wide eyes and a wagging tail. He’s also a fan of water and outdoor exploring, which means puddles, sprinklers, and creek splashing are all high on his list of approved hobbies. And once he settles in and his confidence really kicks in? Well… prepare yourself. Because that’s when the official Lubbock Puppy Shenanigan Show begins. Expect things like: • High-speed zoomie laps around the yard • Toy collections mysteriously appearing everywhere • Dramatic “I meant to do that” puppy tumbles • Nose-first investigations of everything in sight • Daily laugh-out-loud puppy comedy moments Lubbock is the perfect age to grow up alongside his forever family, learning the ropes while joining in on all the adventures — hiking trails, backyard playtime, camping trips, neighborhood walks, and of course couch snuggles once the day’s fun is done. His dream home is one that enjoys being active, laughing often, and embracing the joyful chaos that comes with raising a puppy. Because once Lubbock settles in and lets his personality shine, he’s going to bring a lifetime of laughs, loyalty, and tail-wagging happiness. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Lubbock bring the puppy comedy, the adventures, and the endless smiles into your life. 🐶💛

Story
Please meet Forrest! This sweet pup is estimated to be about 10 months old. At a young age, he was abandoned in a park. We don’t know what happened to his mom or if he and his brother were the only ones to survive, but Forrest is resilient with a heart full of joy. Forrest is a happy and playful boy who’s adjusting well to life in a home. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people. He lives in a foster home with cats but he gets very excited wanting to play when he sees them so he accidentally scares the cats. While he’s gentle and kind, we recommend a home with older kids, as his youthful energy might accidentally knock over toddlers. He's a big wiggle-butt, a very happy boy! Forrest would thrive with a family who can help him with leash training and shower him with the love and attention he deserves. Are you ready to give Forrest the forever home he’s been waiting for? We can drive this pup to your area! If you like this cutie please send us an inquiry here and we'll give you a call and video chat with the pup! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ Our transport can take this pup to any of the above locations. (YES we also adopt to Canada! Please note: adoption fee is in US dollars.) There is NO transport fee, or any extra fees. All is included in the adoption fee. Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!

Story
Animal Profile:  Penny is a 2 1/2 year old, 65 lb spayed female English Bulldog mix. She has a tight, clean coat and an adorable under bite. She has guardian-breed tendencies and will need a breed-savvy owner who's able to provide appropriate leadership. She is loyal to her family and loves to snuggle. Her absolute favorite joy in life is Ball! She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Once acclimated in a home environment, she loves to snuggle and play and has a goofy, loving personality.  Adopter Profile:  Single family residence required Secure fenced yard preferred Large breed experience required Bully breed experience preferred Other balanced dogs and older children considered on case by case basis Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Medical Notes: Penny has had one TPLO repaired in Spring 2025 and fully recovered, before tearing her other CCL in Fall 2025. We will do another TPLO for her with adoption interest.  Animal History:  Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was  DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are  75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. She has since been evaluated and fostered in a DGS foster home. She is currently available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.  March 12, 2026, 2:17 pm
