Story
Meet Chicken, the ultimate family dog ready to bring joy and cuddles to your home! This sweet girl absolutely adores kids. She’s all about gentle snuggles, quiet companionship, and delightful happy dance. Just take a look at her heartwarming couch session with a three-year-old: Watch here- https://youtu.be/JuFpUL9Vne8?si=_QWxEaQP6Rg4f7gH Recently, Chicken met a five-year-old boy at the park, and her eyes lit up the moment he petted her. Her tail wagged like it was her birthday! See the magic here! Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/GKQsiN3-c9w?si=6BFHCePXqFsWp44L What truly sets Chicken apart is her amazing ability to connect with her humans. She walks beautifully at your side, ready to shower you with kisses or lean in for affection. With her excellent recall, she'll come trotting over just for a little love. When she met my five-year-old son, she was totally relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed his attention. Chicken is also an active girl who thrives on outdoor adventures. Whether you enjoy jogging, biking, or hiking, she’s the perfect companion. At around 7 years old, she still has plenty of pep in her step! But don’t let her age fool you; her favorite pastime is curling up on the couch with you. She adores soft blankets and is more than happy to share her space with other dogs. This beautiful girl loves wading in the river, making her the ideal adventure buddy for family outings. At the park, she’s a model citizen—well-behaved and a dream in the car! Chicken Nugget is confident and mature, getting along well with other dogs. While she may not be overly playful, she’d be thrilled to have a calm canine companion. Her current foster has a male Staffordshire terrier, and they love lounging together on the bed. Currently in Texas, Chicken is ready for a virtual meet-and-greet! If you have any questions about this charming girl, we’re here to help. Don’t miss your chance to welcome Chicken Nugget into your family—she’s ready to make your home a little cozier and a lot more fun! 🐾❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/654cfc1690b03684dc0412b4 Please email Jessicak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. Story
Hope Honeyheart is the sweetest girl! She’s quiet, mellow and calm, making for a perfect little work from home companion, or a member of a quiet, calm household. She’s incredibly loving with her favorite people and so friendly with strangers, a lovebug through and through. We think that Hope may be a Labrador, Pit Bull mix, but she is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed. Hope is currently estimated to be around one year old, and she currently weighs in at a soft and snuggly 40 pounds. Watch Hope here: https://youtu.be/tY8yvvf-ZAw?si=QvVb4CKLO27W9Hwz Hope is a sweet girl, but she can be a little bit shy in new environments for a moment or two. A few pets and a soft voice win her over quickly. Hope adores new friends, and greets every stranger with a tail wag. With her favorite humans, Hope is a total Velcro dog. She trots after her favorite staff members, eager to accompany them to wherever they may be headed. She loves to be next to her humans, or even in their laps if they’ll allow it! Hope is an expressive girl, using her tail, eyebrows and ears to communicate clearly with us human folk. While she’s communicative, she’s not talkative! Hope is remarkably quiet, and we have yet to hear her bark here at the rescue. Hope is extremely easy-going, and her quiet demeanor will make her a wonderful companion dog for a quiet lifestyle. Hope is gentle and good on leash, still polishing her leash skills, but with a little more practice she will be an excellent walking companion. She auto-sits for treats, and takes treats so gently. She’s very food motivated, meaning that further training will be enjoyable for both of you. Hope is very dog friendly, and is currently fostered with multiple doggy-siblings. Hope plays so well with others. We would love to see Hope adopted into a household with other dogs, our behavior team recommends a polite doggy brother. Here at the rescue, Hope was cat tested, and we believe her to be cat tolerant. She could live with dog savvy kitties. See her cat test for yourself in her video. Hope’s perfect home would have at least one loving human to adore her, and a doggy friend to help her feel more comfortable. Hope would prefer a home with a back yard, or a home with minimal traffic around it, as she prefers calmer environments. We think Hope would do well as a family dog, with older kids that can be respectful of her boundaries. Hope is a sweet girl, but we do think it may take her some time to settle in and bond with her new family, because she is such a sensitive and soft girl. We hope that her forever family will give her the time and space she needs to properly decompress upon her arrival. Save the “welcome home” party for a later date, instead welcome Hope home with softness and sweetness, and she will love you endlessly for it. Hope is such a good girl, and she has waited far too long for her forever family. Don’t make Hope wait another day, apply today. With any questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Hope with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Miss Piggy is a vivacious pup who is loving and happy all the time. She adores people of all shapes and sizes. She always wants to give kisses, be pet and cuddled and when she really trusts you, she is happy to accept belly rubs. She is perfect in the bath and with getting her nails done but like most 3 year olds is not a fan of getting her teeth brushed. She has played with dogs before but does better with quieter pups around her size. She is crate trained and has never had an accident outside of her kennel. She is a great co-pilot and mostly will stay in the back seat unless we are parked or at a red light. She likes to stand on the console to see what’s going on. But once we move she does go back without having to be asked. She does well in drive thru windows. She is silly and is in a perpetual state of zoomies when she is with people. Fun personality traits are she lives for costumes and likes to snort when sniffing which is how she got her name! She also is a HUGE fan of tug-of-war and does not shred toys or bedding. She knows basic commands such as sit, place, wait, down and door manners. She is very food motivated and eager to please! Story
This little nugget, Lulu Luna, is perfect in every way! A family girl who is great with kids, a fast learner, and house + crate trained! Perfect right? She is a 2ish year old beautiful soft brindle pittie mix weighing just under 51 perfect lbs. She is the perfect to-go size girl! Take a look at her in action but come back to read more about her! Luna is wonderfully attentive to her person and can be buttered up and motivated by treats and affection. She really lights up when she feels your gaze fall on her, she will turn that charm on so fast and next thing you know, you’re in love! Its exactly what happened to me. She gave me the eyes, the love, and then hit me with a sit, down, shake combo and we almost ran away together. Luna knows when to take breaks from play and uses that time to check in with her person as if to say,”I’m good! Are you good?” Luna walks well on a leash and would enjoy daily walks, hikes and even short runs! This girls ideal home would include a yard or dedicated area where she can run and play to her hearts content. Although Luna is a quiet girl, she would do best in an home where she can play and occasionally soak up the sun during a mid-day nap. Even though Luna loves a good play session, she knows when it’s time to turn it down a few notches and settle in for couch time or belly rubs … which are one of her favorite things! This girl really craves humans affection and attention and will make the best snuggle buddy. She’s treat motivated so continued training should be a breeze. This girl could be a family dog but is also a dog that would be great for a single owner. No cats for this sweet girl, her attempts to play chase don’t translate well. Luckily the world is full of cat-free, dog-loving homes! If Luna sounds like your dream girl and you cant imagine her anywhere else but by your side… don’t wait, fill out an adoption application today. This gorgeous girl is magic and she will be gone before you know it. If you have any questions or would like us to explore how Luna handles any other situation or circumstance, email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org- we are here to help! Story
Banjo here is a family man, the type that likes a walk in the morning to start the day off right followed by a down-on-the floor play session with the kids. We love those guys! Sure he is a dog and can’t pay the bills but he promises to support the family with all the love, fun, and memory making anyone could ask for. Take a look and learn more about him- https://youtu.be/q9aNCpOKo00 Banjo just barely made it in to the infamous, itty-bitty-pitty club, he is small but more like sleek or sporty. I think we will start a new club called the nifty-fifty-pitty club just for Banjo- he weighs 50 lbs and wants to live for 50 years so he is taking care of himself. This handsome guy has been fortunate to spend his time waiting for his adoption day in a loving foster home, giving him a head start on becoming an excellent house dog. Banjo’s foster family has been dedicated to his continued growth and improvement, they are his #1 fans and have poured that love into making sure he is ready to be a wonderful pet. From ensuring he is house and crate trained to his leash walking skills, they are proud of where he is at ad truly feel he is ready to fly. Living in a home with kids has ensured that Banjo understands sharing toys gently and the importance of keeping all his paws on the ground when greeting someone, especially little ones. He can still get a little loose when he plays so older kids, steady on their feet would be best. That sleek figure of his is swift and we all know that a toddlers sea legs get blown over by the wind so easily. Being a toy lover and treat motivated translates into a highly trainable, self entertaining guy, two things worth their weight in gold for a dog lover. Plus, he learns fast! Getting his attention for a training session doesn’t take any work, say his name, ask him to sit, show him a treat and there you go. Honestly, you don’t even need the treat- it just helps. He has mastered sit and wait, which are great tools when its time to put a leash on for a walk. Once he hits the sidewalk he is in the zone, ready to get those steps in! He is friendly to people but has worked hard to not let them distract him if he hasn’t been given permission to greet them. If you’re at a cafe relaxing though, his gorgeous galaxy coat and expressive ears are sure to draw a few people over wanting to say hi. That handsome boy is named Eris! Eris is a swoon-worthy puppy, so cute and sweet and smart! Already good on leash and great with other dogs, and cat-tolerant! Fall in love with Eris here: https://youtu.be/78rnBj46dn0?si=NLNy_ORhdWINTrzR Eris is a 35 lb, 7 month old adorable pit bull mix puppy that is ready to love his forever human! While his exact breed mix is a bit of a mystery, what's crystal clear is his need for a forever home. Eris is one of the most at-risk puppies in the country, a dire reflection of the situation in his area where shelters, overwhelmed with puppies, sadly have to make difficult decisions. Eris epitomizes puppyhood—playful, sweet, curious, and always ready for a cuddle. His days are filled with fun activities, including playing with his puppy friends and taking plenty of naps. His current delightful routine is the cycle of eating, sleeping, playing, and repeating! Here at the rescue, Eris has been cat-tested, and he is cat-tolerant. Eris could live with dog-savvy cats! See his cat test for yourself in his video. With other dogs, Eris is still 100% puppy! He’s an enthusiastic player, but so sweet. He’s not too pushy, or vocal with the other dogs. Eris is good at sharing affection and attention with other dogs, and always just happy to be there! Eris is just a puppy, but the rescue lifestyle has taught him a lot, and quickly! This cutie is great on leash, and here at the rescue, he doesn’t have indoor accidents! Eris knows “sit” and he’s not too pushy with his affection, he’s a careful and considerate snuggler (and kisser!) Eris looooves his couch time, and prefers to sit up, facing his human, giving little kisses and getting ear scritches. As a puppy, Eris needs a family ready to embrace the rewarding journey of raising a pup. This includes continuing his potty and crate training (he is already a champion at both!), ensuring he gets daily exercise and socializing. By adopting Eris, you're giving him a new lease on life and making room for another puppy. Eris is the ideal companion for neighborhood strolls, scenic hikes, or simply showing off his cute trot around the block. And, as a thank you for bringing him into your home, you'll receive a lifetime supply of puppy kisses and a steadfast furry friend. Are you ready to change Eris's world and offer him the loving home he deserves while helping another needy puppy? Eris is eagerly waiting to start a new life filled with love and adventure with his forever family. Story
Sampson is about 8 years old. He gets along with respectful dogs and is used to being an outside dog. We are looking for a home that is willing to do the work and be consistent to allow him to be indoor outdoor and part of the family. He is fairly easy on leash. He enjoys playing ball, but does not understand the frisbee concept. We would not place him in a home with small animals. He enjoys lap time, playing in the yard and using his nose.

Opie does not like shots... but who does. This guy is enjoyable to hang out with. He really loves having a good bum scratch. He has some training under his belt, but could use more. He enjoys following his nose, so fencing is a must for this guy. He sits for harnessing and walks well on leash. He is a fantastic, energetic boy after he gets used to a new person. He has the typical stranger danger of bully breeds, but warms up when given time.

Story
Meet Caesar! This gentle 4-year-old and 72-pound boxer boy is ready to steal your heart with his sweet demeanor and mellow energy. My favorite thing about Caesar is the kisses he gives you and he will give lots of them. When first meeting if you crouch down low and baby talk him he will literally melt into a gushy lover boy and start wagging his tail. His face becomes the most expressive and his head tilts when you talk to him like he’s having the conversation with you. The boy is a gentle boy that is cautious to not knock you over but he does love to stand up and give you BIG hugs. If you stop giving him love he will affectionately paw your hand to say, Hey, I still want more!” This week Caesar’s foster took him to the Houston dog show where he met many new dogs and kids with the best manners! Caesar is a whiz when it comes to meeting new dogs, no matter their size or gender. Caesar is a medium-energy boy who knows how to read other dogs' cues to play or be left alone. Caesar transitions smoothly into new homes and quickly adapts to routines and rules. He respects corrections from other dogs and coexists peacefully with them, showing his adaptable nature. Caesar has made tremendous progress with crate training. He willingly enters his crate on command and has learned to communicate his needs effectively. Caesar is vocal only when he needs to go potty and politely requests to be let out of his crate. Caesar thrives in a calm environment and enjoys exploring his surroundings before settling down for a nap. He's content spending time in his crate or freely roaming the apartment, showing excellent behavior in both settings. This sweet boy sleeps through the night in his crate without any issues. While Caesar can be timid around loud noises and cars, he's been improving with consistent encouragement and support. He benefits from a confident handler who can guide him through these challenges. On walks, he may startle at sudden noises or movements but responds well to verbal corrections. He works every day building up his confidence. We think his best home would be in a suburban neighborhood or in a rural setting. This boy is likely not going to be a downtown high rise city boy! This smooshy-faced sweetheart gets along famously with dogs of all sizes and loves being part of doggie play groups. He's friendly, submissive, and adores human attention. Caesar is looking for a loving home where he can continue to build his confidence and enjoy the companionship of a caring family. Could Caesar be the loyal and loving companion you've been searching for? He will be ready to smother you in kisses! Story
Marian is a 1-year-old black and white pittie mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! 💖 Whether it’s long walks on the beach, hiking, or just splashing around in the sprinkler, Marian is ready to be your partner in all things fun and adventurous! Marian is an incredibly good girl who gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, dogs, and even chickens! She loves watching the chickens throughout the day and being gentle with everyone around her. Marian is quiet and peaceful, enjoying tranquility but also loving playtime, especially with kids. Her foster family says she’s a darling, looking for her forever family to share love and joy with. Marian dreams of a family with kids who want to play and a yard where she can run and explore. She enjoys pack walks with her seven foster mates and does great with leash greetings in the yard. Marian is working on her crate training and loves to tuck herself into her crate with her toys or curl up for a rest. She gets along famously with all the dogs in her foster home, especially the Chihuahua! While she needs a bit of leash work, Marian corrects easily and loves learning new things. When it comes to cats, Marian had a little interest in our resident cat at first, but once he jumped up into the cat tree, she let it go. At home, she has no interest in the cats and even gets bullied by a new one without reacting. 🐾 Marian is still a young pup, so she needs a family ready to commit to training, socialization, and all the fun (and chaos) that comes with puppyhood. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Marian is a quick learner eager to master new skills every day. Her intelligence and willingness to please make her a joy to train. She’s perfect for walks, hikes, and showing off around the neighbourhood. Marian is a star in the making! 🌟 Ready to make memories and share endless adventures? Adopt Marian and embark on a journey filled with fun, love, and joy! 🐾💕 https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66a290a863fe2b6f240eaec6 Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Meet Rio, a pocket sized boxer mix that is attentive and loyal to people. Rio is a well-behaved dog who walks beautifully on a leash, needing only minimal corrections. He’s people-focused, often checking in with his handler during walks and around other dogs. He would love to go on hiking adventures or walks around the neighborhood. Rio could live in apartment due to his smart size and leash skills. But a home with a yard to roam in would be enjoyable for him too! Rio is gentle and relaxed, accepting touch with ease and even allowing himself to be picked up and carried without fuss. He does well with a quick verbal correction and shows no signs of resource guarding affection. While he gets along fine with cats when they’re on the ground, he may chase them if they jump onto high surfaces, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Rio is best suited for a home with a medium to low-energy dog or with a family where he can enjoy being both independent and affectionate. He would do well with kids and would make a great family dog! If you're looking for a loyal and attentive companion, Rio might just be the perfect match for you! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
