Story
Markie is not your average pit bull—she’s a delightful black and white bundle of joy with a heart full of enthusiasm. This adorable lady lives life with a unique energy, always wagging her tail like it’s the most important task in the world. She’s a house hippo in the truest sense, content to curl up and take in the comforts of her home, but when it’s time to play, she’s all in. Markie’s enthusiasm is contagious. Whether she’s greeting her humans after a long day or just showing excitement over the smallest things, her tail is always wagging at full speed. It’s as though she wants to share all of her happiness with the world, one enthusiastic tail wag at a time. Though she’s got a natural charm, Markie is still a work in progress when it comes to learning new commands. She knows how to sit on command, and she’s proud of it, but she’s eager to continue her training. Her intelligence shines through in her willingness to learn, and with a bit of patience and encouragement, there’s no doubt she’ll master more commands in no time. But Markie’s true superpower is her boundless love and joy for life. Whether she's curling up on the couch or looking for her next adventure, she exudes an infectious spirit that makes everyone around her smile. No matter where life takes her, Markie is always ready to embrace it with a wagging tail and an open heart. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.

Story
Gemma is a 6 year old female English Bulldog. She came to rescue looking pretty sad after spending her life in a breeding facility. In the few months she`s been in rescue, we`ve seen her blossom both inside and out. She`s this BIGGEST love bug you will ever meet and just adores attention. Gemma is making up for lost time on snuggles and doesn`t have time for or understand why anyone else has time for other dogs either... for this reason, she will need to be the only pet in the home. We have no doubt the perfect family is out there for her just waiting to shower her with as much love as she can soak up!Gemma`s adoption fee is $450. She is up to date on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, is microchipped and will be spayed and have a dental with her adoption fee. She went into heat just prior to her scheduled surgery, so we will reschedule with her new forever family when it is safe for her to do so. Please visit our website at www.bsquaddogrescue.com to review our adoption process and complete an application.ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS-ONLY PET HOME-PHYSICALLY FENCED IN YARD PREFERRED TO HELP WITH HER REACTION TO OTHER DOGS.
