Story
I’m looking for an active companion or family that needs a well behaved dog like me to complete their home. I was very much loved by my previous family and lived with children young and older. I was allowed free range of the house when home alone and loved time in my fenced in back yard on nice days. I came to HHS and travelled to the training program to better understand how to control all my excitement and happiness. I like to meet dogs before deciding if we are BFF’s but I generally get along with most male and dogs. I haven’t lived with a cat that I can remember, and I may play too rough for them! I am doggy door trained, and love fetch and being close to humans. I’ll bark before the doorbell ring if we have guests and give them kisses once you invite them inside. Ready for me! Let’s meet. My favorite activities include riding in cars, playing with dog friends, all the toys I can find, fetch, swimming during the summer and walks. I also love, love, love to run and jump and play so a running partner or trips to the dog park or fence in yard would be super great!

Story
Wolfenoot is a 3 1/2 month old lab/pittie mix boy born 8/30/2024. He's a bundle of fun and is excited to learn how to be the best boy! He's 23 pounds right now but has a lot of growing to do. He is the most shy of the brothers. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
