Story
American Staffordshire Terrier 7 years old Female 60 pounds Kids · 6+ Dogs · Dog selective Cats · No Do you think I have “the look”? You know, so that I might set the canine modeling world on fire! I am also looking into design; my love line of fashion comes pret-a-porter, and I think it will look fabulous on you! Nothing beats a cozy sweater if you ask me. I do need an agent to help me get discovered—is that something that would interest you? You have seen enough episodes of America’s Next Top Model to give me some pointers, right? I’m on the search for only the best home, and it must come equipped with lots of snuggles. I am well on my way to becoming a doggy supermodel—I prefer to be the only dog and if I am going to be around other pups I do need very well managed, very slow intros. I absolutely adore calm children who know how to treat me with respect, but kitty cats best get out of my shot! You can even put a spotlight on my crate training, housebreaking, and obedience skills, and you’ll see that they are flawless. With your help and commitment, I know I can rise to icon status! Then won’t you feel pretty cool having an internationally published pup on the end of your leash? Let’s work to make both our dreams come true! My adoption fee is $180 and includes spay, microchip & registration, 1 month pet health insurance for Oregon residents, reduced-cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Story
Pit Bull Terrier + Labrador Mix 2 1/2 years old Female 58 pounds Kids · 6+ Dogs · Yes Cats · Dog savvy cats What My Friends Say About Me: I’m a gentle girl with a heart full of sweetness! I’m pretty timid at first, but that just means I like to take my time letting people into my heart. With a little patience and kindness, I’ll slowly open up and show you just how affectionate I can be! I absolutely adore other dogs! I thrive in their company and love to play and run around with my furry friends. The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I haven’t had much experience with cats, but with slow and proper introductions, I might be okay. I would do best with children over the age of 6 who can understand my gentle nature and give me the space I need. I could really benefit from some positive reinforcement training to help build my confidence. I’m a quick learner, especially when treats are involved, so let’s make learning fun! My adoption fee is $240 and includes spay, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Pit Bull Terrier 3 years old Male 50 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Dog tolerant Cats · No What My Friends Say About Me: I’m a high-energy pup who loves staying active! Whether it’s running, hiking, or playing fetch, I’m always up for an adventure by your side. I thrive on human connection and would love to be your constant companion. Let’s explore the great outdoors together! My tail wags like crazy when I’m excited, which is pretty much all the time when I’m with you! The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I’m not always the best at playing with other pups and I don’t like cats, so a solo spot in your heart would make me happiest! I would be great with children over 10! I’m eager to learn and thrive on positive reinforcement training! I know a few basic commands already and with your guidance and some tasty treats, I can master lots of new tricks and behaviors. I can’t wait to show you what I can do! My adoption fee is $240 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Lunesta, 6 years old, spayed female, pit bull mix, 55lbs. Lunesta is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Lulu is a sweet, medium energy kind of gal who loves to play. She is in a foster home with a resident pit bull and a shih tzu, and tries engaging them in play. She would love to have a home with a canine companion to play with her. The resident shih tzu will get barky and nippy at Lulu, and she walks away, ignoring him entirely. Lulu doesn't have much body awareness and will body check the other dogs when playing or when treats come out. She pushes and shoves to the front of the line for a treat, to get the toy or to be the first one out the door. She can also be quite clumsy, sometimes running into the doors or walls because she is so focused on looking back at you. Lulu loves to play but also loves to snuggle up and rest with you, or on her own in the crate or on the couch. She is a sweet cuddle bear and enjoys following you around the house ensuring you are never alone nor under attack from an unseen foe. Going to the kitchen? Lulu's coming too. Need to use the restroom? Good idea, she should join you. Headed outside for some vitamin D? Perfect, that is just what she wanted to do also! Not even joking, Lulu really does love the sun and baking as long as you will let her. Lulu is a toy hoarder. She will sneak and steal the toys from her siblings but is not aggressive of them. As a general rule of the foster, all dogs are fed separately to ensure they eat their own meals but not because anyone resource guards their food. We have no history with cats but when walking her and she sees one, she wants to charge at it. She has been around children ages 10 and up without issue, and we have no reason to think she couldn't be around very young kids as she's not super jumpy or energetic. Typically recommend a home with kids over the age of 10 years, or those who can understand and will respect animal behavior cues. Lulu does need to work on her leash manners as she is all over the place and pulls with the typical pittie energy. A harness or Gentle Leader head collar may yield the best results but Lulu's foster has been working patiently with her on this training. Lulu is nearly fully housetrained but will "go" if it has been too long between her potty breaks. She does not have any accidents overnight in her kennel. Lunesta is crate trained and does very well, sleeping and taking her meals in the kennel, as well as being put up when unable to be supervised. She would do best in a home willing to help her reinforce the basic manners she already has, ensuring a good solid connection through training and structure. She would enjoy a moderately active house with some walks and fetch opportunities, lots of snuggles and cuddles, and possibly another doggy sibling or two. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
Rose was pulled from a very high kill shelter when she was in late term pregnancy and on the euthanasia list. She was an excellent mama of nine puppies and is now ready to find her forever home. She is in a foster home with children and other dogs. She loves hugs and playing toss with her toys. She is gentle with the children but is a big girl so probably best no young kiddos. She has medium energy, loves walks and to play but also can be a complete coach potato. She is in a home with many other dogs and gets along great.

Story
Hope Honeyheart is the sweetest girl! She’s quiet, mellow and calm, making for a perfect little work from home companion, or a member of a quiet, calm household. She’s incredibly loving with her favorite people and so friendly with strangers, a lovebug through and through. We think that Hope may be a Labrador, Pit Bull mix, but she is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed. Hope is currently estimated to be around one year old, and she currently weighs in at a soft and snuggly 40 pounds. Watch Hope here: https://youtu.be/tY8yvvf-ZAw?si=QvVb4CKLO27W9Hwz Hope is a sweet girl, but she can be a little bit shy in new environments for a moment or two. A few pets and a soft voice win her over quickly. Hope adores new friends, and greets every stranger with a tail wag. With her favorite humans, Hope is a total Velcro dog. She trots after her favorite staff members, eager to accompany them to wherever they may be headed. She loves to be next to her humans, or even in their laps if they’ll allow it! Hope is an expressive girl, using her tail, eyebrows and ears to communicate clearly with us human folk. While she’s communicative, she’s not talkative! Hope is remarkably quiet, and we have yet to hear her bark here at the rescue. Hope is extremely easy-going, and her quiet demeanor will make her a wonderful companion dog for a quiet lifestyle. Hope is gentle and good on leash, still polishing her leash skills, but with a little more practice she will be an excellent walking companion. She auto-sits for treats, and takes treats so gently. She’s very food motivated, meaning that further training will be enjoyable for both of you. Hope is very dog friendly, and is currently fostered with multiple doggy-siblings. Hope plays so well with others. We would love to see Hope adopted into a household with other dogs, our behavior team recommends a polite doggy brother. Here at the rescue, Hope was cat tested, and we believe her to be cat tolerant. She could live with dog savvy kitties. See her cat test for yourself in her video. Hope’s perfect home would have at least one loving human to adore her, and a doggy friend to help her feel more comfortable. Hope would prefer a home with a back yard, or a home with minimal traffic around it, as she prefers calmer environments. We think Hope would do well as a family dog, with older kids that can be respectful of her boundaries. Hope is a sweet girl, but we do think it may take her some time to settle in and bond with her new family, because she is such a sensitive and soft girl. We hope that her forever family will give her the time and space she needs to properly decompress upon her arrival. Save the “welcome home” party for a later date, instead welcome Hope home with softness and sweetness, and she will love you endlessly for it. Hope is such a good girl, and she has waited far too long for her forever family. Don’t make Hope wait another day, apply today. With any questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Hope with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $800 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Benny was rescued in Texas and has adapted really well to being the best boy. He is the sweetest pit Bull mix you’ll meet. He loves people and loves to cuddle and play. He is 4.5-5 years old and is house trained. He’s really smart. Due to a new career shift that requires traveling for weeks at a time, Benny’s mom has made the heartbreaking decision to try and give him a better life by rehoming him with someone who can really take care of him (and she is very open to an open adoption!). He is aggressive with other dogs and very territorial. He needs someone with a yard, no other pets (at first), and dedicated to getting him better behaviorally trained. His behavior is not why he is getting rehomed — it is not his fault. Please help him find a real forever home. With rehoming, Benny needs to take his things! you will get the following: - two beds - food and water tray - water dispenser - food to last 2+ weeks - plenty of toys and treats.

Story
We rescued Mister from the pound a few years ago and at first he was a shy sweet great dog. Over the first few months he became more territorial in the house when people would come over and would bark and sometimes nip at people from behind. We introduced our daughter to the world about a year after we got him and he became even more territorial with her around. We’ve noticed that he is not very friendly with food and can snap when other animals or children are around his food. We had a smaller puppy for a while that we had to rehome because mister was getting aggressive while eating. My wife works from home with my daughter and sometimes she can get into stuff and be curious. We’ve noticed he will growl at her near any kind of food (his or not) and we want to avoid a serious accident before it happens. He is a very loyal, loving and sweet dog, we just do not want to take the risk anymore.

These pups are in Portland, Oregon too!

Story
Meet Rio, a pocket sized boxer mix that is attentive and loyal to people. Rio is a well-behaved dog who walks beautifully on a leash, needing only minimal corrections. He’s people-focused, often checking in with his handler during walks and around other dogs. He would love to go on hiking adventures or walks around the neighborhood. Rio could live in apartment due to his smart size and leash skills. But a home with a yard to roam in would be enjoyable for him too! Rio is gentle and relaxed, accepting touch with ease and even allowing himself to be picked up and carried without fuss. He does well with a quick verbal correction and shows no signs of resource guarding affection. While he gets along fine with cats when they’re on the ground, he may chase them if they jump onto high surfaces, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Rio is best suited for a home with a medium to low-energy dog or with a family where he can enjoy being both independent and affectionate. He would do well with kids and would make a great family dog! If you're looking for a loyal and attentive companion, Rio might just be the perfect match for you! From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. Story
Kobi is a gentle soul who may initially be a bit reserved but opens up quickly once he feels secure. Though he can be shy outside his comfort zone, he walks well on a leash and adjusts easily to gentle corrections- but he does need a strong handler on walks. Kobi has lived with other dogs large and small. He prefers the ladies and submissive males. Unfortunately, Kobi does not get along with cats, as his curiosity tends to get the best of him in those situations. He can enjoy the company of goats and chickens, with whom he has shown friendliness. Adventures? Kobi loves car rides and loads and unloads with ease! He stands on the seat greeting you (he will need to be buckled in so he doesn’t end up in your lap). Kobi enjoys listening to music in the car and will even let you pick the radio station! He also loves golf cart rides! Kobi’s ideal home would be a peaceful environment with a yard to run around. Chasing sticks is a favorite pastime of his- but he’s not really a fan of toys. When he wants the attention of his humans he will bark, making him a poor candidate for an apartment! The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. Story
Marian is a 1-year-old black and white pittie mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! 💖 Whether it’s long walks on the beach, hiking, or just splashing around in the sprinkler, Marian is ready to be your partner in all things fun and adventurous! Marian is an incredibly good girl who gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, dogs, and even chickens! She loves watching the chickens throughout the day and being gentle with everyone around her. Marian is quiet and peaceful, enjoying tranquility but also loving playtime, especially with kids. Her foster family says she’s a darling, looking for her forever family to share love and joy with. Marian dreams of a family with kids who want to play and a yard where she can run and explore. She enjoys pack walks with her seven foster mates and does great with leash greetings in the yard. Marian is working on her crate training and loves to tuck herself into her crate with her toys or curl up for a rest. She gets along famously with all the dogs in her foster home, especially the Chihuahua! While she needs a bit of leash work, Marian corrects easily and loves learning new things. When it comes to cats, Marian had a little interest in our resident cat at first, but once he jumped up into the cat tree, she let it go. At home, she has no interest in the cats and even gets bullied by a new one without reacting. 🐾 Marian is still a young pup, so she needs a family ready to commit to training, socialization, and all the fun (and chaos) that comes with puppyhood. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Marian is a quick learner eager to master new skills every day. Her intelligence and willingness to please make her a joy to train. She’s perfect for walks, hikes, and showing off around the neighbourhood. Marian is a star in the making! 🌟 Ready to make memories and share endless adventures? Adopt Marian and embark on a journey filled with fun, love, and joy! 🐾💕 https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66a290a863fe2b6f240eaec6 Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $775.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes!
