Story
Our sweet Pepper. A good boy adopted from a humane society in Grants Pass, he’s about 4 years old now. He’s a loving boy, great at cuddling, play mate, and will do anything for a treat. He loves other dogs and cats and people. Unfortunately he needs more attention than we can give him since our 1 year old is allergic to him. We also can’t afford a play mate that he desperately needs to run with. House, crate, and potty trained. Loves long hikes and is pretty good at fetch.

Very loyal, but guarded due to history of abuse. Warms up very quickly with treats. Very well behaved at Animal Veterinary Hospital in Ashland, OR. Fully vetted. HW and parasite negative. On HW prevention and flea tick prevention. Free lesson provided. Travels well in cars and without a crate! Loves long walks/jogs. Loves to swim! Learning cats and dogs. Meet Monty – The Complete Package with a Heart of Gold! Say hello to Monty, a dapper young gentleman who truly lives up to his name — the whole kit and caboodle wrapped into one handsome, athletic package! If you’re searching for a smart, friendly, and loyal companion who’s ready to become your adventure partner and best friend, Monty might just be your perfect match. Monty’s journey hasn’t always been easy. He came from a challenging background, having experienced an abusive home early in life. Since April 2022, Monty has been patiently waiting at the shelter for his forever family, hoping to find a loving home where he can finally settle and thrive. When he first arrived, all Monty wanted to do was hug the staff members — as if thanking them for keeping him safe and loved. Through it all, his loving spirit and deep affection for people have never wavered. This sweet boy approaches everyone he meets with a wagging tail and a warm heart, eager to make new friends and share his joy. With a moderate energy level, Monty strikes a wonderful balance — he’s lively enough to keep up with hikes, runs, and outdoor adventures, yet calm enough to relax and cuddle when the day winds down. His athleticism shines through in his graceful movements and enthusiasm for playtime. Monty is a quick learner who already knows Sit and Down, and he walks politely on leash, making every walk an enjoyable outing for both of you. When Monty greets you, his excitement can be contagious! He tends to bounce with joy, thrilled to see you, but he quickly settles down once he knows he has your full attention. Monty is a true people-pleaser, always striving to earn your approval and shower you with love. Socially, Monty is a superstar. He thrives in the company of medium to large dogs, sharing space with his furry friends gracefully and happily. He’s also great with kids, showing a gentle side that makes him a perfect fit for families of all ages. And if you love road trips, you’ll be delighted to know Monty is a fan of car rides — he’s ready to join you wherever the road takes you! Despite his size, Monty is a gentle giant at heart. Meet Duke — The Life of the Party and Your Future Best Friend! Say hello to Duke, a happy-go-lucky pit mix puppy with a heart full of love and a personality that shines! Duke is part of an incredible 14-puppy litter, born to Marley, a sweet mom who was abandoned in a trailer park. Thanks to rescuers, both Marley and her pups are now safe, healthy, and looking for their forever families. Marley herself is also ready to find a loving home, so if you’re looking to adopt a devoted adult dog, she could be the perfect match. Duke is bursting with confidence, charm, and playful energy. From the moment you meet him, his bright eyes and wagging tail will have you smiling. Whether he’s chasing toys, exploring the yard, going for walks, or cuddling with his favorite humans, Duke’s enthusiasm and affection are completely contagious. This social boy is great with kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful fit for a loving, active family. He’s also super smart and eager to learn, so with consistent training and plenty of love, Duke will grow into a loyal, well-mannered companion who’s always ready for adventure. Duke is looking for a family that can match his playful spirit, share in his curiosity, and give him all the snuggles and fun he deserves. And if you have room in your heart, consider giving Marley a chance too — together or separately, they’re both ready for loving homes. If you’re ready for endless laughter, joy, and puppy love, Duke is ready to steal your heart — and maybe even your favorite spot on the couch! Apply today to meet Duke (and maybe Marley!) and bring home your new best friends!   Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.    All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       October 23, 2025, 5:52 pm

Meet Pablo – A Loyal, Gentle-Hearted Pup! Pablo is a one-of-a-kind dog with a distinctive split ear and a personality to match! He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he feels safe, he’ll become your shadow, your quiet sidekick, and your loyal best friend all rolled into one. In new or unfamiliar settings, Pablo looks to his person for reassurance, navigating the world with cautious curiosity and a heart full of love. Pablo came from a hoarding situation, so he’s comfortable around other dogs and loves to play — he enjoys roughhousing with doggy friends who match his playful yet confident style. Despite his spirited play with other pups, he is always gentle and affectionate with humans, making him a sweet companion for his family. He would thrive in a peaceful home with a doggy friend and a family ready to offer patience, understanding, and love. In return, Pablo will reward you with unwavering loyalty, sweet cuddles, and the kind of friendship that lasts a lifetime.
