Meet Dixie! This sweet girl is the ultimate cuddle bug—she hasn’t read the book on personal space (and never plans to). Whether you’re sitting, napping, or just trying to drink your coffee, Dixie believes every moment is a snuggle moment. She is still learning how to be the best dog she can be and will need a loving family who can teach her with patience and treats! Dixie has energy to spare and will do best in a home with children over 12 years of age. If you’re looking for a weighted blanket with legs, that has a heart as big as her smile, Dixie is your girl!If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Halle Girl is sponsored by Major Ball.Meet Halle Girl! 🌺💖This sweet pit bull mix came to us all the way from Maui, and she’s ready to start her new chapter on the mainland! Halle Girl recently had surgery on her right second mammary and is healing up wonderfully. Before that, she was a devoted mama who raised her puppies with so much love — now it’s her turn to be cared for and adored. The shelter can feel a little overwhelming for her (all that barking isn’t exactly island vibes!), but once she’s out of the chaos, her gentle, loving nature shines. She’s a total cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to be close to her person, soaking up every bit of affection. With a little patience and kindness, Halle Girl will quickly become your shadow and your best friend. She’s ready to leave her mama days behind and start her own happily-ever-after!If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart as warm as the Hawaiian sun, Halle Girl is your girl. 🌸🐾If you are interested in meeting Halle Girl, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Ghost is sponsored by River & Ben.Hi, I’m Ghost!I’m a pit bull–Dalmatian mix, which basically means I’m a marshmallow with feelings. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but when I learn trust you, my fun and excitable personality comes out. Personal space will become a thing of the past once I know your safe! I like to use my voice when stressed and would do best as the only dog in a home or with a calm dog (I tend to mirror the feelings of those around me).The shelter can feel a little overwhelming for me (all that barking and energy amps me up), but once I'm out of the chaos, my snuggly, loving nature shines. Apartment life isn’t really my style—I’d love a home with a fenced backyard where I can feel safe, happy and get my energy out with zoomies. With a little patience, I’ll be a loyal and loving companion.Love, Ghost 👻🐾If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Against all odds Callie with the sweet heart! Beautiful 4-year-old brindle female American Pit Bull Terrier, Callie was found abandoned and lost wandering down a road in Washington. Adopted from a shelter and returned because the family could not afford to keep her, Callie has been in board and train ever since funded by good Samaritans. Story
HI - I'M FLETCH! I'm a stunning, young (about 1 year, 2 months) brindle & white Pit Bull Terrier pup in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a scary California shelter in the nick of time. I became urgent because I simply had a cold. Now I'm doing great, and am a happy puppy! I'm a lovable, dog-friendly boy who loves his humans, and loves to play with other dogs. I'm also good with kids though would do best with kids over 10. I'm very loving and eager to please. I weigh about 53 lbs currently, but am a growing pup. I have the most beautiful coat and sweet face and temperament. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
I - I'M BRODY! I'm a handsome red-and-white Pit Bull Terrier who needs a foster or forever home! I am about 4-years old, weigh 68 lbs., and am a lovebug with my person. I love to snuggle! I was rescued from a California shelter awhile back and now am in the Southern Washington area. Back in the day, I was a shelter favorite and helped the staff in the office. I also take treats gently. I have done well with other dogs in the past. I would probably do well with a calm female dog. Sometimes I have some resource guarding issues when it comes to food, but otherwise am a good boy. Please email for an application.
