Story
Hello, I`m Splinter! I`m about 6 years old and weigh 57 pounds. I have a medical release that staff will discuss with you further!A portion of Splinter`s care has been sponsored by a kind donor. ** Here is what a volunteer says about me:`He is the sweetest, most mellow dog. He gives me soft kisses, little tail wags, is so soft and gentle.` **Do you like...Dogs? I`m a very low-key guy and prefer to just hangout. I may be able to co-exist with another calm companion. Please bring any dogs to meet me!Cats? My history is a mystery. Slow, supervised introductions would help set us up for success.Kids? I can be handling sensitive at times and would like to start out meeting older kiddos. 12+Anything else you`d like us to know, Splinter? I wasn`t in the best shape when I first came into the shelter. With continual care from staff, I`ve been able to get more comfortable! I love my doggy bed with lots of soft blankets to snuggle in. I`m a bit of a quiet, oddball with lots of love to give! I`ve been told my soulful eyes are my best feature. If you`re looking for a slower-paced and chill companion, I`m your guy! I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Hollie was found on 1/11/26 at the intersection of S Bertelsen Rd & W 18th Ave. She came into the shelter not yet spayed. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Meet Birdie! Birdie is a young senior sweetheart at 10 years old who’s ready to trade rescue life for a cozy couch and a forever family. Found as a stray and waiting in an overcrowded shelter, this lovely gal never let it dull her sparkle. Birdie is a happy, social girl who truly enjoys making friends—both human and canine—and greets the world with a warm, gentle enthusiasm. When she’s not charming everyone she meets, Birdie proudly reigns as the queen of cozy. Blankets are her specialty, and she’ll happily burrow herself deep for the kind of epic naps only a seasoned snuggle expert can achieve. Birdie has had a full senior wellness workup and will soon be getting a much-needed dental cleaning along with a small mast cell tumor removed so she’s on track to feel her very best. She could be a wonderful addition to a family with respectful kids, other dogs, and possibly even a cat. If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion who balances social butterfly energy with expert-level snuggling, Birdie might just be your perfect match. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Birdie's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website! Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. Birdie would do great in a home with...Cats : Dogs : Yep!  Kiddos : Yep!   ##2610204##
