Story
Meet Tipsy – Your Playful, Adventure-Ready Sidekick!Tipsy is a 1.5-year-old brown pittie with a big heart and even bigger zoomies! This happy, energetic pup is always up for an adventure—whether it’s a hike, a car ride, or a backyard play session. He’s a toy fanatic (ropes and balls are his favorites!) and a tug-of-war champion in the making. Sometimes he gets too excited and can get a little mouthy, but a little redirection is helpful.Tipsy is housebroken and knows basic commands, though if he’s bored, he might find his own entertainment (like chewing something he shouldn’t). Plenty of toys and activities will keep him happy! He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up—especially with treats—he’s all in.Tipsy is looking for a cat-free home without young kids, but he could possibly do well with a like-minded, playful dog who matches his energy. If you’re ready for a fun-loving companion who will always be excited to see you, Tipsy is your guy!

Story
Meet Reina! Reina is a little nervous when initially meeting new human friends but give her a minute to catch her breath and she'll be kangaroo jumping to give you hugs and kisses. Reina loves going for nature walks to take in all the worlds smells, though is not a fan of this cold weather and snow nonsense. But once it's warm, she'd love to explore some hikes with her new humans. Reina is a very active and easily excitable girl, and she loves snacks which will make training time much more fun. She would do best being the only pet in the home, she is a very confident lady who is selective with the dog friends she wants to make. And would think it's a blast to chase and traumatize small animal friends. Reina is now a Lonely Heart which means she's been with us far too long. To encourage her new family to take the leap and bring her home we have lowered her adoption fee to $200.

Story
Quick details: * 9-month-old, 50lb, neutered male * Loves people! * Likes other dogs, gets overstimulated when playing * Very quiet and well-behaved in his kennel * Rides quietly in the car * Loves food and treats * Tolerant of vet exam handling * Active, energetic, happy boy! Rhett is around 10 months old, 50lb, neutered male, originally found as a stray in SC. We pulled him from the urgent list and he made it to NH on 11/17. Rhett would make a great walking, jogging, or hiking partner. He's constantly ecstatic to see you and in a good mood ALL the time. This young, energetic boy is super friendly, affectionate, and is pumped to go do all the things. Despite his energy, Rhett is quiet and composed for car rides and when hanging out in his kennel suite. Rhett is mostly dog friendly. But he plays rough and can get overstimulated and grumbly in off-leash play/running situations. He hasn't shown any reactivity around other dogs though, even when getting barked at while on a walk. He IS cat-friendly and can live in a home with dog-savvy cats!! He's solid, strong, and blocky, and doesn't know this at all when he's happily bouncing around, so no young kiddos in the home would be best for now - he has been totally fine with teens. Rhett grew up in a shelter, so he will need understanding and continued guidance on manners and living in a house at first. He's now potty trained but will likely need a refresher once in a home with a new routine, though he picks this up very quickly. He's very treat-motivated and super trainable! We're currently avoiding chicken for Rhett's food and treats as it causes stomach upset. He seems to have a sensitive stomach/GI system. Story
Quick details: * 1.5-year-old, 43lb, spayed female * Loves people!!! * Loves other dogs * "Voted the most popular girl on the playground" at the SC shelter * Loves to get pet and cuddle on the couch * Tolerant of vet exam handling * Would prefer someone who is home most of the time * Active, energetic, happy girl! Zora is around 1.5 years old, 43lb, spayed female, originally found as a stray in SC. We pulled her from the urgent list and she made it to NH on 11/17. Zora is looking for a home where she can be cuddled all the time because it's her very favorite thing to do. This girl is energetic and can be a bit anxious, but she calms right down and melts once you start petting her. Due to some suspected separation anxiety (has improved *significantly* with medication and routine), we think she would prefer someone to be home most of the time, or she's also happy to accompany you out and about. She's a great combo of being an active girl, calm when out in public, but also happy to lounge around with an antler to chew on. Zora is dog friendly! She's very polite when greeting other dogs and loves to run and play, or cuddle with them. She hasn't shown any reactivity around other dogs. She has not been tested with cats and we have no history of her with cats. Zora was in the SC shelter a long time, so she will need understanding and continued guidance on manners and living in a house at first. She's now potty trained but will likely need a refresher once in a home with a new routine. Oh and did we mention she's stunning?! And SO soft! Story
Spartan came to us after his previous shelter has burned down. We can only guess what breed mix he is, though he appears to have APBT and staffy in him. He is great with other dogs and new people, and he’d thrive in any family! He loves being outside and going on adventures. He’s a playful and lively dog, but when it’s time to settle down he’s the best cuddle buddy! Spartan is very smart and is highly food motivated. He will make the best addition to a loving family.
