Meet Reina! Reina is a little nervous when initially meeting new human friends but give her a minute to catch her breath and she'll be kangaroo jumping to give you hugs and kisses. Reina loves going for nature walks to take in all the worlds smells, though is not a fan of this cold weather and snow nonsense. But once it's warm, she'd love to explore some hikes with her new humans. Reina is a very active and easily excitable girl, and she loves snacks which will make training time much more fun. She would do best being the only pet in the home, she is a very confident lady who is selective with the dog friends she wants to make. And would think it's a blast to chase and traumatize small animal friends. Reina is now a Lonely Heart which means she's been with us far too long. To encourage her new family to take the leap and bring her home we have lowered her adoption fee to $200.

Looking for a little bit of puppy energy, without the puppy, to add to your life? Meet Brutus! He is a guesstimated 2-year-old little pittie dude looking for a forever family of his own. He arrived at the shelter in rough shape, so is going to need some extra TLC to help him get back to peak health. He has the puppy enthusiasm and urge to learn and grow, but also the maturity to have an off switch when the excitement has passed. He is a VERY food motivated boy, so training should be a breeze with his new humans. He also loves going for walks to explore, when the weather isn't so gross. So may love being your warmer weather exploration companion and sidekick. We think he'd love having an easy going but still playful dog friend to learn and grow with. He may be best with no cat or small critter friends though, as we've noticed a bit of a prey drive when small friends are scurrying about.

Quick details: * 1.5-year-old, 43lb, spayed female * Loves people!!! * Loves other dogs * "Voted the most popular girl on the playground" at the SC shelter * Loves to get pet and cuddle on the couch * Tolerant of vet exam handling * A little anxious when in kennel suite/separated from her people * Active, energetic, happy girl! Zora is around 1.5 years old, 43lb, spayed female, originally found as a stray in SC. We pulled her from the urgent list and she made it to NH on 11/17. Zora is looking for a home where she can be cuddled all the time because it's her very favorite thing to do. This girl is energetic and can be a bit anxious, but she calms right down and melts once you start petting her. Due to some suspected separation anxiety (has improved with medication), we think she would prefer someone to be home most of the time, or she's also happy to accompany you out and about. She's a great combo of being an active girl, calm when out in public, but also happy to lounge around with an antler to chew on. Zora is dog friendly! She's very polite when greeting other dogs and loves to run and play. She hasn't shown any reactivity around other dogs. She has not been tested with cats and we have no history of her with cats. She's solid and strong, so no young kiddos in the home would probably be best for now, just because she might accidentally knock them over (she likes kids though). Zora was in the SC shelter a long time, so she will need understanding and continued guidance on manners and living in a house at first. She's now potty trained but will likely need a refresher once in a home with a new routine. Oh and did we mention she's stunning?! And SO soft! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kingston has been with us since May 2020. He is my big sweet good boy &#226&#157&#164 He is around 85 pounds and a big goof! He, like alot of our dogs came to us in awful shape. We are not sure what his life before rescue was like but I feel certain based on his condition it was pretty bad. He is timid in New places with new people BUT he warms up and he is sooo good! He is kennel and house trained and has always done well with new dogs coming and going at our house. I do believe he would do best with a female dog and definitely not a dominate dog. He is going on 4 years old now- heartworm negative and current on prevention, neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. He would do best in a home that isnt real busy as he is unsure of new people. He has NEVER shown any sign of aggression but he is fearful in new situations. He will need his people to be patient and give him time to settle in. He truly deserves a family of his own who will love him forever. He is a cuddler and will lay in bed and watch movies all day, or load up in the car for a ride, he also loves toys. At one time he was scared of toys and didnt even know how to play He is such a good boy. Kingston is in a foster home here in Shreveport, LA. We adopt often to the Northeast.
