Story
***Courtesy Post*** Blue is a 2 yr old pitbull/boxer mix.  She is full of energy, loves to fetch, plays tug of war, and is a real delight.  She needs a home where she can be the center of attention. Blue really loves adults and kids but is jealous of other pets getting attention so she needs to be an only pet (at least till she gets some more training).Blue is a sweet silly girl.  She is spayed, also microchipped and current on vaccinations.   She is house-trained by using either Christmas bells to indicate she needs to go out or she will walk back over to you and stare at you. Also, kennel trained and not possessive with it. Blue does know her basic commands like sit, stay, and quiet but sometimes is stubborn and wants treats. Her favorite is salted peanuts from Costco.   Blue's favorite playtime is fetch or tug of war with tennis balls or stuffed animals with a texture like a crinkle material or rubber pieces. She also has this funny habit of running in circles when you try to pet her butt.  She is named after the raptor in Jurassic Park because if you are using the bathroom and close the door on her she huffs and makes raptor noises from under the door.  A $100 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.November 4, 2024, 11:57 am

Story
Elsa is approximately 2-3 years old and about 50 pounds. She is deaf but that doesn’t stop her from playing with other dogs and learning commands through sign language. She is very treat motivated and loves to be around people so training comes easy for her. Her food motivation has made her a little protective during feeding time and will need to eat and enjoy bones separate from other animals. She has really enjoyed playing with her foster brothers and has learned a lot from them so having a fur sibling would be good for her, but not required. She likes to chase cats so a home with no feline friends would be best for her. Elsa is very social and has been known to jump a fence to say hi to her neighbors so she will need to be supervised when outside. This sweet girl loves unconditionally and with all of her heart; if you can provide a safe, deaf-friendly home for her please fill out an application today! The suggested adoption fee for Elsa is $315. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1802192##

Story
Kai is strikingly handsome Pittie mix, born 12/31/2022.   He was given his name because of his beautiful blue eyes since "Kai" means "ocean" in Hawaiian.   Kai is move-in ready:  he is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash.  He can be trusted not to be destructive of items in the home.  He loves playing with toys; however, he is a super chewer so his toys need to be very sturdy.   Kai is food-oriented and very smart, which makes training him easy.  He still has lots of puppy energy and plays roughly with other dogs, but, he is currently trying to learn to play more politely.   When you meet Kai, you will fall in love with his big, happy smile and incredibly soft coat.  If Kai seems to be the right dog for you, below is information about adopting him.   Applications are currently being accepted. The suggested adoption fee for Kai is $365.  Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Story
Luna, a Pitty mix, was on the euthanazia list at an Oklahoma shelter before Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ saved her so that she can become a valued family member of some lucky family.  Her birthdate is November 2, 2022. Luna is a sweet, fun-loving girl, who plays well with small dogs and is slowly being acquainted with bigger resident dogs.  She truly loves all people, including children.  She enjoys playing tug-of-war and playing with toys, which typically means pulling out the stuffing and squeaker.  She is somewhat timid around loud noises, such as when kids are playing basketball or volleyball.  Luna recognizes her name well and knows how to sit, but is still learning to listen.  She enjoys eating and loves treats.  She currently weighs about 50 lbs.  She is definitely a fun pup! The suggested adoption fee for Luna is $365.  Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Story
My name is Murphy and I am a gorgeous brindle boy.  Per my DNA test I'm 37% American pitbull terrier, 12% Australian cattle dog and 7% Labrador retriever. I am a good boy, sadly I've been at the shelter for a long time and here is what you need to know: I'm a very low maintenance boy, as long as I get a daily walk to sniff and an enrichment activity such a Kong or a chew toy I'm happy and relaxed.  I'm kennel trained ( I love it, it's my safe place) and muzzle trained if you live in an area where i need to wear a muzzle to go for a walk. I know sit, down, wait, I love walks and hikes and walk pretty well on leash (as long as there is nothing interesting to chase), car rides, belly rubs under the sun, eating ice, doing zoomies on the snow, and I love people!  I have a high prey drive so no small dogs or cats for me. I like children but I think it's best that I live with older ones as I might be a little too strong for them. If you think I can come to your house and show you what a good boy I am, please reach out and let's meet!   Thank you!!!  Love, Murphy.  Thanks to our amazing Angel Sponsors, our long term pups now come with reduced adoption fees, alleviating financial road blocks for some, and making it even easier to open your heart and home to a furry friend. The adoption fee is $100 plus tax and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter and a home training session.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Story
Beebop (b. 9/2019) was transferred to Muddy Paws from a local shelter, where she had been placed in the after-hours kennels with a note.  The note explained that she had been removed from a terrible situation where she was severely beaten, starved, and otherwise abused.  She was also deaf.  It went on to say that they thought she had suffered brain damage from past injuries.  After the initial exam, the shelter staff contacted Muddy Paws to see if we could take her due to her needing more intensive long-term help than they were able to accommodate. BeeBop is a sassy girl who loves to be by her person.  She is alright with other dogs, but because of her "odd" behaviors, a gentle, well-socialized dog would work best.  No children because she really doesn't like a lot of physical contact and gets nippy on occasion. BeeBop also demonstrates behavior that we refer to as Obsessive Compulsive.  She sometimes will get in behavioral "loops" where she will run around the house, turning an occasional circle and hitting her nose on the ground.  These patterns of behavior are easily broken when she gets redirected by a chewy treat, a toy, or just flashing a flashlight at her feet to break her concentration.  These episodes have gotten much fewer and farther between with behavior modification and medications, and she no longer bangs her head unless she is very frustrated.  Beebop loves to go outside and run, or run in the house.  She does sometimes barks when running, so would not do well in an apartment. In spite of all BeeBop's challenges, she is an amazing dog!  She is smart and is learning sign language.  She knows "potty", "treat", "no",  and "kennel" just to name a few.  She is potty trained when let out, but won't tell you when she has to go.  She is good in a kennel and enjoys treats and a good meal.  BeeBop does not know how loud she is so when she is mad, or having fun, she has the loudest noises come out of her that can only be described as a bark/chirp/scream.  Need we say that apartment life would just not be her cup of tea?  We don't think so. So with all that said, BeeBop would do great in a home that is willing to work with her to help her find her best life.   Muddy Paws is looking for potential fosters OR adopters for this girl. The suggested adoption donation for Beebop is $215. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BeeBop's care in our rescue is currently being supported by our "Muddy Paws Partners." Here are their letters of love! "Just look at that face! BeeBop is a sassy girl who loves to be by her person.  Adopt her!" - Gerri Brunow Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. Story
Luca (b.3/6/2022) is a blue-nose, male pittie.  He is the sweetest boy who is looking for a place to call home!  Luca has lots of playful energy and loves his chew toys, crawling on laps, and snuggling! Lucas is potty trained and crate trained and can be left alone without being destructive. He can be a little shy at first and will need slow introductions to new dog friends but would like to have a buddy about his size and close in energy level. He does love his food/high value chews though and doesn’t want anyone around while he enjoys them. Luca would love a home that will provide consistent calming enrichment and continual positive reinforcement training. He would be good in a home with older children that respect his space when he needs it. Must live within a 50 mile radius of Omaha/Council Bluffs to continue working with the trainer.  The suggested adoption donation for Luca is $300.  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The contract states the alter must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or adopter will be in breach of contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alter to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately after the procedure is complete. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Ellie (b 6/2023) is a sweet Pitbull and looking for her furever home.  She loves to be with her pack/family, chew, play games (fetch, chase, tug), and will do a trick for a treat.  She is still very much a puppy and is working on manners.  Ellie is a little escape artist, so it will be important for her to have a yard with a reinforced fence.  She is good with kids (ages 5+) and other dogs.  Ellie is full of energy, so she might be too much for senior dogs.  If you are looking for a dog that is ready to play, but also ready to cuddle, then Ellie is for you! She is a sweet 2 year old pit mixed. I’m not sure of all the breeds she is mixed with. My daughter got her from her friend who never came back for her, so I have cared for her as long as I could. She did come to us ℹ untrained, which I was unaware of. She does have a short tail cause she had an infection in it. We had to cut it to save her life. She is trained somewhat in the home, after the baby was born we have seen here revert back to how she came to us somewhat. We have become very busy and don’t have the time we had in the past to show her.i want her to be with a caring family/owner that have the time she deserves. She is very mild mannered and have a lot of energy.

Urgent!!!! This pretty baby is 2yr-old Lola, a Boxer/pit mix. She was adopted at 6 months old from NHS. She is sweet & very loving to her humans. She is pretty energetic, but has had training and pretty good on the leash. She loves to snuggle up on the couch and belly rubs. A few months ago, my daughter adopted a 10-yr old child with past trauma and they aren't adjusting well to one another. Unforntaly I have tried everythign and am at the end of my rope. She needs a different environment than I can give her and needs someone who can give her a better life and a chance for success. She needs a big yard where she can run with a tall fence and no small animals and unfortantly no children due to jealously. Please help me give her a loving home and the life she deserves.

Story
Sasha, the reigning monarch of her foster castle, is a six-year-old English Bulldog with a heart as big as her adorable wrinkles. In her ideal home, she would prefer to assert her regal status as the one and only fur child. Sasha, having grown up in the presence of kiddos, exudes a gentle and amiable demeanor, making her a delightful companion for families with older kiddos. This bulldog queen is not just about regality; she's a playful soul who revels in the joy of games and companionship, especially with adults.  Sharing food or toys are not her strong suit so small children won't fit into her perfect royal court.  Sasha is clear about her preferences. Despite her love for play, she staunchly opposes the idea of donning costumes. Her royal attire is her natural coat, adorned with the charm of her unique bulldog features. In the vast expanse of her backyard kingdom, Sasha assumes the role of a distinguished grazer, exhibiting a talent that could rival that of a goat. Her leisurely grazing adds a touch of charm to the royal landscape, creating a picturesque scene though leads to a bit of a joker-like mess with clean up later. Sasha's journey to health has been marked by resilience and care. She has undergone soft palate surgery and had her saccules removed, emerging from these medical interventions remarkably healthy. Her well-being is a testament to the attentive care she receives in her temporary castle. As the queen of her realm, Sasha invites those who would appreciate her royal presence to share in the joy of her company. Her castle should be a haven of love, playfulness, and, of course, the regal charm that only a bulldog like Sasha can bring.--Interested adopters would need to travel to the Omaha area with family members including furry friends to meet Sasha.  Her adoption fee is set at $300. ##1952489##
