Story
Elsa is approximately 2-3 years old and about 50 pounds. She is deaf but that doesn’t stop her from playing with other dogs and learning commands through sign language. She is very treat motivated and loves to be around people so training comes easy for her. Her food motivation has made her a little protective during feeding time and will need to eat and enjoy bones separate from other animals. She has really enjoyed playing with her foster brothers and has learned a lot from them so having a fur sibling would be good for her, but not required. She likes to chase cats so a home with no feline friends would be best for her. Elsa is very social and has been known to jump a fence to say hi to her neighbors so she will need to be supervised when outside. This sweet girl loves unconditionally and with all of her heart; if you can provide a safe, deaf-friendly home for her please fill out an application today! The suggested adoption fee for Elsa is $315. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1802192##

Story
Kai is strikingly handsome Pittie mix, born 12/31/2022.   He was given his name because of his beautiful blue eyes since "Kai" means "ocean" in Hawaiian.   Kai is move-in ready:  he is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash.  He can be trusted not to be destructive of items in the home.  He loves playing with toys; however, he is a super chewer so his toys need to be very sturdy.   Kai is food-oriented and very smart, which makes training him easy.  He still has lots of puppy energy and plays roughly with other dogs, but, he is currently trying to learn to play more politely.   When you meet Kai, you will fall in love with his big, happy smile and incredibly soft coat.  If Kai seems to be the right dog for you, below is information about adopting him.   Applications are currently being accepted. The suggested adoption fee for Kai is $365.  Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Story
Luna, a Pitty mix, was on the euthanazia list at an Oklahoma shelter before Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ saved her so that she can become a valued family member of some lucky family.  Her birthdate is November 2, 2022. Luna is a sweet, fun-loving girl, who plays well with small dogs and is slowly being acquainted with bigger resident dogs.  She truly loves all people, including children.  She enjoys playing tug-of-war and playing with toys, which typically means pulling out the stuffing and squeaker.  She is somewhat timid around loud noises, such as when kids are playing basketball or volleyball.  Luna recognizes her name well and knows how to sit, but is still learning to listen.  She enjoys eating and loves treats.  She currently weighs about 50 lbs.  She is definitely a fun pup! The suggested adoption fee for Luna is $365.  Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Story
Major is a stunningly handsome 4 1/2 yr old tan and white bully mix. His personality is as impressive as his name.  He loves people, belly rubs, toys and a good wrestling match in the playyard.  He's not a huge fan of cardio but if his favorite volunteers invite him to walk, he eagerly agrees and rewards them with polite leash skills.  He does have high prey drive so walkers need to be on the lookout for squirrels and he does NOT like cats!  Major prefers to navigate life on his own terms so his humans need to be physically strong, confident, consistent and patient with him.  Major's strength and play style makes him best suited to join a family with older kids and adults.  As we've introduced him to other dogs we've found him to be not only dog friendly but best buddy material.  Underneath Major's chiseled handsome exterior is a soft heart with a ton of love to offer his humans.  He scores high on the "cuddle bug" scale, loves to burrow in blankets and will melt into the couch with his favorite humans.  Major is quite the guy. You have to meet him to get the full extent of his awesomeness.  Apply to meet him. Major's adoption has been sponsored, so his adoption fee is $175 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Story
This 2 year old hunk is now back on the dating scene, looking for his forever family.  His story is tragic.  He was surrendered after his owner passed away and his grief was palpable when we first met him.  But slowly, he has come out of shell and is now ready to meet the new love of his life.  This boy is incredibly friendly and his greatest motivator seems to be human affection.  He is also food motivated, knows sit and is working on other commands.  He can be a bit guarded in new situations and with new people, which is understandable given how drastically his life was turned upside down.  He tends to offer his deep bark as a way to both attract attention and signal that he needs some warm up time if you want to approach him.  He has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite and we've seen no sign of aggression from him.  He rides in the car politely and takes treats patiently and gently.  Krueger has done well with other dogs during buddy walks and playgroups. We have not yet determined if he is cat friendly.  Due to his size and strength, he would be best suited in a home with older children.  Don't wait to apply for this guy because we know the flood gate will open with many applicants when his handsome mug hits the internet.  He's going to go fast. The adoption fee is $350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Story
My name is Murphy and I am a gorgeous brindle boy.  Per my DNA test I'm 37% American pitbull terrier, 12% Australian cattle dog and 7% Labrador retriever. I am a good boy, sadly I've been at the shelter for a long time and here is what you need to know: I'm a very low maintenance boy, as long as I get a daily walk to sniff and an enrichment activity such a Kong or a chew toy I'm happy and relaxed.  I'm kennel trained ( I love it, it's my safe place) and muzzle trained if you live in an area where i need to wear a muzzle to go for a walk. I know sit, down, wait, I love walks and hikes and walk pretty well on leash (as long as there is nothing interesting to chase), car rides, belly rubs under the sun, eating ice, doing zoomies on the snow, and I love people!  I have a high prey drive so no small dogs or cats for me. I like children but I think it's best that I live with older ones as I might be a little too strong for them. If you think I can come to your house and show you what a good boy I am, please reach out and let's meet!   Thank you!!!  Love, Murphy. Thanks to our amazing Angel Sponsors, our long term pups now come with reduced adoption fees, alleviating financial road blocks for some, and making it even easier to open your heart and home to a furry friend. The adoption fee is $100 plus tax and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter and a home training session.  We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Story
Beebop (b. 9/2019) was transferred to Muddy Paws from a local shelter, where she had been placed in the after-hours kennels with a note.  The note explained that she had been removed from a terrible situation where she was severely beaten, starved, and otherwise abused.  She was also deaf.  It went on to say that they thought she had suffered brain damage from past injuries.  After the initial exam, the shelter staff contacted Muddy Paws to see if we could take her due to her needing more intensive long-term help than they were able to accommodate. BeeBop is a sassy girl who loves to be by her person.  She is alright with other dogs, but because of her "odd" behaviors, a gentle, well-socialized dog would work best.  No children because she really doesn't like a lot of physical contact and gets nippy on occasion. BeeBop also demonstrates behavior that we refer to as Obsessive Compulsive.  She sometimes will get in behavioral "loops" where she will run around the house, turning an occasional circle and hitting her nose on the ground.  These patterns of behavior are easily broken when she gets redirected by a chewy treat, a toy, or just flashing a flashlight at her feet to break her concentration.  These episodes have gotten much fewer and farther between with behavior modification and medications, and she no longer bangs her head unless she is very frustrated.  Beebop loves to go outside and run, or run in the house.  She does sometimes barks when running, so would not do well in an apartment. In spite of all BeeBop's challenges, she is an amazing dog!  She is smart and is learning sign language.  She knows "potty", "treat", "no",  and "kennel" just to name a few.  She is potty trained when let out, but won't tell you when she has to go.  She is good in a kennel and enjoys treats and a good meal.  BeeBop does not know how loud she is so when she is mad, or having fun, she has the loudest noises come out of her that can only be described as a bark/chirp/scream.  Need we say that apartment life would just not be her cup of tea?  We don't think so. So with all that said, BeeBop would do great in a home that is willing to work with her to help her find her best life.   Muddy Paws is looking for potential fosters OR adopters for this girl. The suggested adoption donation for Beebop is $215. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BeeBop's care in our rescue is currently being supported by our "Muddy Paws Partners." Here are their letters of love! "Just look at that face! BeeBop is a sassy girl who loves to be by her person.  Adopt her!" - Gerri Brunow Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. Story
Luca (b.3/6/2022) is a blue-nose, male pittie.  He is the sweetest boy who is looking for a place to call home!  Luca has lots of playful energy and loves his chew toys, crawling on laps, and snuggling! Lucas is potty trained and crate trained and can be left alone without being destructive. He can be a little shy at first and will need slow introductions to new dog friends but would like to have a buddy about his size and close in energy level. He does love his food/high value chews though and doesn’t want anyone around while he enjoys them. Luca would love a home that will provide consistent calming enrichment and continual positive reinforcement training. He would be good in a home with older children that respect his space when he needs it. Must live within a 50 mile radius of Omaha/Council Bluffs to continue working with the trainer.  The suggested adoption donation for Luca is $300.  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The contract states the alter must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or adopter will be in breach of contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alter to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately after the procedure is complete. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Story
Beaux-Rex is a sweet Lab/Pitbull mix, born on 8/20/2020.  Rex is such a loving boy and lives for human affection!  He has been glued to his foster's hip since day 1 and is a cuddle bear any chance he gets.  He loves to snuggle in bed and enjoys getting under the covers.  He loves everyone he meets and has been very gentle with young children.   Rex is food motivated and that has worked well for training and introductions to new things.  He is extremely smart and has SO MUCH personality.  He is free to roam the house while his foster mom is at work and does not get in trouble.  Rex will give you all the kisses in the world if you let him, but he listens extremely well.   Here are a few of the things we love about Rex: Loves to give hugs and kisses!         Loves to snuggle Very gentle and tolerant (even let foster mom clean his ears and give him a bath) Knows lots of commands i.e. come, sit, shake, lay down, down and he’s working on stay Loves his toys, especially his balls and his ‘oinking’ pig Gets zoomies around the house and will spin in circles (short-lived, but HILARIOUS) Ready to snuggle again after energy burst Amazing on a leash Sporting his winning Lab/Pitbull charm, Rex adores kids and exudes near-perfection in every way, except for his little quirk of preferring to be the sole furry friend in the household. Other dogs tend to stir up some anxiety in Rex so he will need a fenced yard where he can hang out stress free. Let's brighten Rex's world by finding a loving family where his vibrant personality can truly blossom! Beaux-Rex is on a journey to find his forever home with the help of Muddy Paws. His former owners collaborated with a Muddy Paws trainer to address his dog reactivity. The new adopter of Beaux-Rex will have access to ongoing support from a trainer, ensuring a smooth transition and enriched bond. Before applying to adopt this dog, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. The suggested adoption donation for Rex is $315.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Story
Dude was adopted back in Sept from a shelter as a stray and is estimated as 1-2 years old. He can be very sweet and loves to cuddle. He has a lot of energy and loves walks and does well on a leash. When on walks and walking by people/dogs he does stand to attention but does not react negatively. we havent had him around other pets but do believe he may be okay around another dog his size but do think he would want to be playful. We were having some behavioral issues with him (jumping, mouthing, over excitement) and feel he gets overstimulated and would be better likely in a single person home. He would require socialization and a lot of consistent training for behavior which we have done but believe we didnt recognize early enough on and having trouble reversing. Dude is extremely smart (knows down, stay, leave it, sit, touch) learns well but is stubborn. He is very cute and has a lot of potential! We have a newborn and just need what is better for Dude and our family.

Story
Sasha, the reigning monarch of her foster castle, is a six-year-old English Bulldog with a heart as big as her adorable wrinkles. In her ideal home, she would prefer to assert her regal status as the one and only fur child. Sasha, having grown up in the presence of kiddos, exudes a gentle and amiable demeanor, making her a delightful companion for families with older kiddos. This bulldog queen is not just about regality; she's a playful soul who revels in the joy of games and companionship, especially with adults.  Sharing food or toys are not her strong suit so small children won't fit into her perfect royal court.  Sasha is clear about her preferences. Despite her love for play, she staunchly opposes the idea of donning costumes. Her royal attire is her natural coat, adorned with the charm of her unique bulldog features. In the vast expanse of her backyard kingdom, Sasha assumes the role of a distinguished grazer, exhibiting a talent that could rival that of a goat. Her leisurely grazing adds a touch of charm to the royal landscape, creating a picturesque scene though leads to a bit of a joker-like mess with clean up later. Sasha's journey to health has been marked by resilience and care. She has undergone soft palate surgery and had her saccules removed, emerging from these medical interventions remarkably healthy. Her well-being is a testament to the attentive care she receives in her temporary castle. As the queen of her realm, Sasha invites those who would appreciate her royal presence to share in the joy of her company. Her castle should be a haven of love, playfulness, and, of course, the regal charm that only a bulldog like Sasha can bring.--Interested adopters would need to travel to the Omaha area with family members including furry friends to meet Sasha.  Her adoption fee is set at $300. ##1952489##

Finn definitely likes to be one of the guys and seems to gravitate to males before females.  We know he shouldn't have small kids in his life--the loud, in your face squeals and pets aren't up his alley.  We'll keep you all in the know as he settles into his foster home!  In the meantime, he heads to the vet on 7/24 for his neuter and chip placement.  We're hoping this will help with his marking! ##2121346##
