Story
🌟 Meet Chance: Your Future Best Friend! 🌟 Introducing Chance, a beautiful blue-grey Pit Bull mix with a heart of gold! Found wandering and in desperate need of care, Chance immediately knew how to find his way into our hearts. When we pulled over to help, he hopped right into the car, ready to cuddle and start a new adventure! Chance has overcome a rough past—he came to us skinny and dehydrated, with a few battle scars from his time fending for himself. Despite his challenges, he's a loving and playful goofball who is ready to give you all his affection. Here’s what you should know about our sweet boy: - Age: Adult(2-4 years) (exact age unknown) - Health: Vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped - Personality: Affectionate, fun-loving, and a little silly! Potty trained! And knows how to sit, lay down and speak. - Likes: Long walks, cuddles, toys, treats, and mealtime! - Dislikes: Other pets (we recommend a pet-free home) and dog parks (he’s not a fan of crowded spaces) - Behavior: Not aggressive on a leash, but caution is advised with cats, animals and young children. (We have not experienced around kids younger than 10.) Chance is looking for a loving forever home where he can truly shine. If you’re ready to provide a safe space and plenty of cuddles, Chance is eager to return the love tenfold! If you think you could give Chance the chance he truly deserves, please reach out! 🐾❤️

Meet Zane! This adorable pup came into CHS as a lost dog and was not reclaimed. He is social, loving, and VERY playful. He loves to romp with both people and other dogs, making him a perfect friend for any active family! Zane is still working on manners and sharing nicely, so he would do best in a home with older kids. Zane would love a home to call his own for the holidays, come meet him today! Story
From Abandonment - To Rescue - To the Front Page - To Healing    LOOKING FOR ADOPTIVE HOME (or FOSTER) ASAP IN THE NE/CO/WY/SD   SIMON   Located in Dalton, NE American Pit Bull Terrier  1-2 years approx Dog friendly See below Kids over 10 would be best due to his size  Potty trained  Secure fence recommended Fully Vetted (on the 24th) Appears to be blind in one eye  60 pounds   Simon was pretty notorious in the Sidney, NE area for a while back in March when he was dumped by a truck driver at a truck stop. Hundreds of people followed the posts on social media of his plight, the photos of his multiple sightings in the first several days, and then his eventual rescue. It was a heartbreaking story of a dog suffering the ultimate betrayal and then spending days looking for his betrayer and then finally running in fear when that person couldn’t be found. He was terrified but kind. It was very difficult to witness and hear about.  Irregardless of the dedicated efforts of multiple caring individuals as well as law enforcement, Simon refused all help and eventually started wandering further and further. It wasn’t until he wandered into a fenced yard that he was captured; and then his story became front page news.  Simon is safe now, but his story is far from over. SIMON NEEDS A HOME!! Until then he’s just another dumped homeless dog. Is that what we want? Simon has had his vaccinations and will be neutered and microchipped on the 24th. From there he needs his much deserved dedicated family.    Simon is a very nice and sweet dog. He is not destructive. Does well in a crate. He’s quiet. He’s potty trained. He is 100% dog friendly and non confrontational in any way. He may take a minute to warm up when meeting new people (who can blame him?) but he comes around fast. Cats are an unknown. He’s VERY interested and HIGHLY focused. But he doesn’t exhibit aggression. At this point it’s hard to say without a formal test. But my gut is saying a home without cats would be best.    If you are interested in Simon PLEASE reach out and apply. He’s very deserving and loyal and you will not be disappointed; I can assure you.  Sidenote: Simon is a dog worthy of his own Insta page, this guy doesn’t take a bad photo !!   Please contact us if interested or have questions.    To Contact Us Message the Page  Facebook Message Cilena Dueker TEXT Cilena at 308-249-4308 Fill out our Adoption Application at https://www.highplainspaw.org/adoption-application Fill out our Foster Application at  https://www.highplainspaw.org/foster-application Email us at highplainspaw@gmail.com   $200.00 Adoption Fee   (The $200.00 is considered a nonrefundable donation and being we are a 501c3 organization it is tax deductible.
