Story
Sirobi is 4 years old her birthday is February 6th. The reason for rehoming is because not only do we also have her brother who is extremely aggressive and has attacked her on numerous occasions. But we also don’t have the time to give her the life she deserves so for her best interest we are looking for a loving single pet home. She does amazing with kids of all ages since she grew up with them. She is potty trained but still has accidents from time to time. We don’t know how she will react with other animals as she has shown aggression towards other dogs but there have also been times where she has played with other dogs and was fine. She does show toy aggression signs to other animals but never to people.

Story
My college age son brought this dog home after another college friend had gotten him and then realized he was very allergic to the dog. He is a sweet sweet boy. We do not have time for a puppy. We have an 11 year-old Australian Shepherd, but I run with her in the mornings and she is home during the day by herself and then we are able to interact with her in the evenings. This little puppy needs a lot more interaction than that and unfortunately, we are not in a position to provide it. He is so good natured and is going to make a great family dog for someone. He is 11 weeks old and has not had any shots yet. We are basically serving as a foster family to find him a good home. He has a small kennel, two leashes, grooming products and lots of little chew toys. He loves to cuddle and nap and of course likes to play too. He’s def learning the potty training piece and is good if we take him outside frequently. We know he is a Pitt mix and think he’s boxer too. He loves our dog and kids!

Story
Are you seeking a charming and affectionate dog who doubles as a land hippo? Look no further than Emerald! This loving and playful companion adores everyone she meets and isn't shy about asking for attention. She'll happily roll onto her back and "talk" to you for a little extra affection. A fan of tug-of-war, Emerald loves to entertain herself but prefers engaging in play with you or her canine siblings. Emerald has a special fondness for children, making her an excellent addition to any family. Her joyful and engaging personality ensures she'll bring a lot of happiness to her new home. While she is still working on leash training, she requires a fenced yard where she can explore and play safely. Emerald is cat-tested and completely ignored the resident cat, so she is likely fine with them. She gets along well with all dogs, displaying a very submissive demeanor. As she continues to come out of her shell, Emerald has shown that she is comfortable and confident in her current environment—definitely not timid or shy! If you’re looking for a devoted and fun-loving dog to fill your life with love and laughter, Emerald is ready to meet you! Emerald is a female Pit Bull Terrier who was was born approximately 6-11-22 and weighs 60 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $300 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Story
Ace is a former shelter dog that would love to find his way out of boarding as the kennel environment is starting to wear on him after several months. He is 6-7 years old and weighs approximately 62 pounds. Our best guess on his breed is an American pit bull terrier mix of some kind.   Ace loves to go on walks and only pulls when he spots a squirrel. He does not enjoy water, but will sit like a good boy during bath time. We suggest that Ace be an only dog and think he would do best with older children.   In general, Ace loves cuddling and is usually relaxed. But watch out because Ace likes to keep you on your toes when he has a case of the zoomies. He also loves to chew on toys, but they need to be tough and durable.   Suggested adoption donation: $300.00   Foster/Adoption form available at nebraskanokill.org     October 21, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Cain is an American pit bull terrier mix and a former shelter dog that has been in boarding for several months. He is neutered and weighs 55 pounds. This 6-year-old, goofy boy needs some training to be the best dog he can be, but our organization is willing to pay for his training if we can find the right foster or adoptive home.   Cain loves to cuddle up in his blankets and wouldn’t mind relaxing to a movie with you. He is great at going outside because he loves to sunbathe. Cain also likes to chase toys, especially when it’s his idea. Do you have a fenced yard where he could enjoy time outdoors and play fetch? He also walks fairly well on leash.   Cain has lived with other dogs, but doesn’t always get along the greatest, so we'd prefer to find a home where he could be the only dog. He loves people, but we also think he would live his best life in a home with adults and perhaps older children.   Suggested adoption donation: $300.00 Foster/adoption forms available at: nebraskanokill.org  October 21, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
My name is Murphy and I am a gorgeous brindle boy.  Per my DNA test I'm 37% American pitbull terrier, 12% Australian cattle dog and 7% Labrador retriever. I am a good boy, sadly I've been at the shelter for a long time :( and here is what you need to know:  I need a home with a great leader who can continue my current routines, I'm kennel trained and muzzle trained if you live in an area where i need to wear a muzzle to go for walk. I know sit, down, wait, I love walks and hikes, car rides, belly rubs under the sun, eating ice, doing zoomies on the snow, and I love people!  I have a high prey drive so no small dogs or cats for me. I like children but I think it's best that I live with older ones as I might be a little too strong for them. If you think I can come to your house and show you what a good boy I am, please reach out and let's meet!   Thank you!!!  Love, Murphy.  Thanks to our amazing Angel Sponsors, our long term pups now come with reduced adoption fees, alleviating financial road blocks for some, and making it even easier to open your heart and home to a furry friend. The adoption fee is $100 plus tax and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter and a home training session.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission. ##960891##

Story
Major is a 4 yr old tan and white Pit Bull Terrier. He is a handsome boy who loves people but not cats!  He enjoys short walks and running around in the yard but he mostly loves to spend time with his people.  Major is a goof ball with such a great personality.  He loves to cuddle and to be the center of attention.  He knows some basic commands like sit and wait. Major prefers no small kids. Come see if you are his special family. Story
Elsa is approximately 2-3 years old and about 50 pounds. She is deaf but that doesn’t stop her from playing with other dogs and learning commands through sign language. She is very treat motivated and loves to be around people so training comes easy for her. Her food motivation has made her a little protective during feeding time and will need to eat and enjoy bones separate from other animals. She has really enjoyed playing with her foster brothers and has learned a lot from them so having a fur sibling would be good for her, but not required. She likes to chase cats so a home with no feline friends would be best for her. Elsa is very social and has been known to jump a fence to say hi to her neighbors so she will need to be supervised when outside. This sweet girl loves unconditionally and with all of her heart; if you can provide a safe, deaf-friendly home for her please fill out an application today! The suggested adoption fee for Elsa is $315. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. Story
Moose is a Pit Bull Terrier born June, 2023. He is a ball of energy and loves to play and wrestle with his foster sibling. This not-so-little guy is incredibly sweet and is eager to please his humans. Moose is also very food and treat-motivated as well as he is potty trained, kennel trained, and walks well on a leash. As he grows (currently around 60 pounds) he will need to continue to work on not jumping on people and resisting the counter-surfing urge! Overall, Moose is a playful, cuddly pup who can't wait to find his forever home! Story
Kai is strikingly handsome Pittie mix, born 12/31/2022.   He was given his name because of his beautiful blue eyes since "Kai" means "ocean" in Hawaiian.   Kai is move-in ready:  he is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash.  He can be trusted not to be destructive of items in the home.  He loves playing with toys; however, he is a super chewer so his toys need to be very sturdy.   Kai is food-oriented and very smart, which makes training him easy.  He still has lots of puppy energy and plays roughly with other dogs, but, he is currently trying to learn to play more politely.   When you meet Kai, you will fall in love with his big, happy smile and incredibly soft coat.  If Kai seems to be the right dog for you, below is information about adopting him.   Applications are currently being accepted. The suggested adoption fee for Kai is $365.  Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Story
Dexter is an incredibly sweet and hyper boy. He is almost completely potty trained. He has not had any accidents in months and is used to using the bathroom outside on walks at 7am and 6:30p. He knows how to sit and recognizes get down and his name. Dexter is used to kennel training and does not bark. Dexter loves cuddles and attention, he just needs more training when it comes to walks (he gets lazy and stubborn sometimes). He is incredibly playful and sweet. Dexter needs a house with other big dogs to play with and a big backyard to run around. He would be a wonderful addition to any home. He is 9 months old and he’s such an adorable boy. I would keep him forever if my allergies weren’t as serious.

Story
Are you in the market for a silly girl who will provide you with entertainment, cuddles, adventure and lots of joy? Look no further than our sweet Maggie! She is a real hoot, loves to strike various poses to show her "sophisicated" side, but will also expose all her lady parts with no shame (ha!). Her sleeping positions are quite interesting, but hey, whatever works, right? She's just happy to have a softy, comfy bed/couch/pillow! She LOVES car rides and has done her best to convince us she has an official driver's license (lookout! she WILL try to get in your lap as you're headed down the highway!). She is highly motivated to please, is smart as a whip, but a bit stubborn (what lady isn't?!). She can be a bit choosy about who her dogs friends are and doesn't appreciate a dominant dog. She's a modern gal who would like to be in charge, thank you very much. She is currently fostering with another female and is getting along just fine. She loves people of all ages and will insist that she have the best spot in your bed when nightime rolls around. Maggie is a determined girl who has overcome the odds after being confiscated from her owners by law enforcement for animal neglect, then a stay that was more than a year long in a rural Missouri shelter. The kennel she was in was so small and she was doing her best to show a happy face to potential adopters, to the point she wagged her tail so much against the walls it had to be partially amputated. She previously lived with 4 other dogs who were also seized and sadly remain in that shelter. Maggie holds no ill will towards humans, remarkably, and is an absolute delight to be around! We have promised Maggie she will never again experience neglect or heartache. If you would like to add this charming lady to your life, she will reward you with doggy kisses and (half) tail wags! Maggie is a female Boxer/mix who was was born approximately 6-28-20 and weighs 55 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention.
