Story
Meet Estrella! This girl is full of spunk and energy, and is looking for a warm place to spend the rest of winter. Estrella has been with us for a while now, and recently spent some time in a foster home where we got to learn a bit more about what her home life could look like. What we saw was a playful, cuddly, squishy companion that would make a terrific adventure buddy. Once her needs are met, and she feels safe, Estrella`s favorite pastimes include snooring in her blanket pile, and getting pets! She is working daily on perfecting her manners and will need someone who is happy to continue this awesome progress she has made. This girl is SMART and a joy to train. She will require a family that is committed to helping her through the transition of entering a new environment with new people, but after some time and lots of patience, you will find a warm and loving partner-in-crime in a short, stout body :) If this fun sized bundle of potential sounds like a match, come on down and meet her today!

Story
Deniro: Meet Deniro, the biggest and smushiest lapdog around! Deniro is a big goof who loves to play, and will gladly sprawl out across your body with his favorite toy. He is full of energy and would make a great adventure buddy he has been working hard on his leash manners here, and has made some incredible progress! While we know Deniro loves long walks and new experiences, we think he would like a quieter setting to return to after his adventures. He is a little worried by the traffic here at the shelter, and is still learning that most strangers are not looking for a cuddle session out in the world. Adopters should plan to continue his training, and to help teach him how to settle down and relax on his own (a bully stick or strong chew toy goes a long way!). Kids in the home should be able to participate in training and be unfazed by a bouncy pup and his antics. Do you want to be his person? Stop by MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily no appointment or application needed. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Rose is a young, joyful pup who approaches life with enthusiasm! She’s all about playtime, learning, and making people smile. She’s still working on polite greetings (she gets very excited), so she needs an adopter who will help her channel that energy through training and enrichment. She’d love an active home and may enjoy a dog friend with careful introductions. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and slightly goofy companion, Rose would love to be your adventure buddy!

Story
This is Storm. I adopted him from a shelter when he was 5 months old and he just turned 1. He is a super affectionate dog who loves to cuddle up and snore. He is also really playful and is coming into his teenage crazy. He is content most days to lay around and chew his bone and he is always up for play time with our other dog. Storm is house trained and he goes into his crate at night sometimes as early as 6 and sleeps until 7 or later. His living situation right now is quite limited and he isn't allowed in most areas of the house and there always needs to be supervision when with our other dog. While I wouldn't say that he needs to be in a one dog household, I do think that he may thrive better if he has more acsess to the house and isn't always worrying about another dog. He is still working on training (so keeping up with it would be good) but he is a very smart dog who has a lot of potential!

Story
I am looking for someone who can give the attention she needs. Unfortunately I cannot take care of her anymore due to my schedule. She is almost 6 years old from my understanding. She is calm, playful and attentive. The is house and crate trained. Only thing that needs work is the leash control. She like belly rubs and treats.
