Story
We rescued Dusty at 3 months old and fell in love. He was sent to board-and-train for three weeks for some basic puppy training. We've had him for two years now and unfortunately his resource guarding has become an issue with our other dog. We have two small kids that he loves but he's a 65 lb dog and doesn't always know his own strength. He's loving, fun and the best cuddler in the house, it breaks out hearts but it's a stressful fit for the family these days. Likely the best fit is one with older or no kids, and no other pets in the house.

Story
This sweet and sensitive girl`s name is Nala. While Nala would like to live up to her namesake being the queen of the jungle, she is still just a lion cub! In reality, our girl Nala is a bit worried when it comes to trying new things. Nala`s dream is to have a family that can help her slowly expand her comfort zone with lots of patience. Nala will need an adopter to help her navigate her challenges on her own time. When Nala is comfortable, she becomes the squishest and snuggliest pup in the pack! Due to Nala`s needs, she`s looking to be the only dog in a low traffic home(she`s not ready to live with dogs, kids or cats right now!) so she can be the main focus! If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Kobe is a cute boy ready to find a new home of his own. He is very silly and rambunctious when he plays and likes to zoom around. Kobe can be a bit worried in new places and the sights and sounds of the city can be a bit overwhelming, so he would likely do best in a quiet neighborhood and in a home with a fenced yard. He seems to like other dogs, but can get a bit too rowdy with them. Kobe has lived in a home with older kids and could likely do so again. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. Story
King is a silly looking guy who is ready to find his new home. He can be nervous at first, but once he settles in he is super goofy and playful. King knows how to make his own fun and his happy to toss his toys around by himself. In his previous home King was very good housetrained and will likely do well once he has transitioned into his new home. He has been able to meet dogs, but he`s a little picky about his dog friends. King would likely do best in a quiet neighborhood in an adult only home. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. Story
Sage is a 6 month old medium mix breed pit. She does all the little puppy things and then some like nibbles, cuddling, making beautiful eye contact while you eat your favorite meals. She’s a really good girl who needs a home that can accommodate to her schedule. She has slight separation anxiety but preferably a good home for her would be someone with. hybrid/remote job. She loves other dogs (big or small) and gets along with cats. She’s currently being crate trained but does have anxiety so will poop in cage if not let out enough. Loves long walks and lots of treats. Knows basic commands and loves to follow you like a little duckling. I hope my sweet Sage brings you as much joy as she has. She’s a wild one but a beautiful and sweet puppy.
