Meet Maurizio! (Pronounced mow-REET-zee-oh)Maurizio`s gorgeous stature matches his handsome personality! He`s full of love and would love to begin his new journey in life with you! Weighing 59 pounds he will take up some room on your couch or bed but his snuggles will make up for that. Maurizio`s ready for any activity your up for from long walks, hikes, running around in the yard or just chillin` on the couch binging Netflix! He`s 4 years old so he`s more mature than his other counterparts here at the shelter. We don`t know a ton about his history because he arrived as a stray from a local animal control. We can say that he`s a fast learner and would enjoy learning some crate training, loose leash walking just about whatever you want to teach him he`s ready to learn! If this dude sounds like the guy for you please drop by our Boston branch. He`ll be waiting for you!My friends describe me as: sweet, handsome and affectionate!Mauriziois currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Maurizioor any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Her adorable, expressive face and calm, soulful eyes make it easy to fall in love at first sight. She’s a big fan of curling up for a cozy nap but is always ready to spring into action when it’s time for fun. Whether she’s joyfully tossing around a toy or exploring her surroundings, Lexley brings a gentle, steady energy to every moment. Her affectionate nature and easygoing spirit make her a very special companion.Lexley gets along beautifully with other dogs, greeting new canine friends with enthusiasm. She is curious about new humans, and may take a few minutes to warm up to new human friends. Once she opens up, she is a sweetheart and will thrive with a patient family. She’s met cats on leash and, while a bit curious, is mostly more interested in the people around her - especially if there are pets or snuggles involved! Lexley would do best in a home with dog-savvy children over the age of 10 who will respect her space and give her time to warm up in her new environment. She truly thrives on love and connection, no matter who’s giving it.She’s still polishing her crate training and potty training and is doing really well on a schedule. Story
Oak is a sweet pup that can be a total shy guy—quiet and a little bashful at first, but don’t let the mask fool you. Once he warms up, he’s all about treats, learning new tricks, and sticking right by your side like your most loyal Mario Party teammate. We recommend that Oak be the only pet in the home, although he may be able to go to a home with older children that are as eager to teach him as he is to learn.

Story
Nova is a beautiful 6 year old 64-lb pit mix that has more love to give than she can handle. My husband and I rescued her when she was 2 years old after she was surrendered pregnant and forced to give birth to her puppies in an unfamiliar shelter. The poor thing went through a lot and because of this she does have some anxiety and occasional fear aggression. We welcomed twin girls Nov. 2022 and although we were trying hard to make it work, it has been stressful on poor Nova and us to manage keeping them apart in our small home. Although we don’t think Nova would ever purposefully hurt them, she is very strong and does not know her own strength. She also is visibly overstimulated with two toddlers running around which is very understandable. We love her so much and although this breaks our hearts, she deserves a home that can give her more time and attention than we can right now. A relaxing one where she is the only pet, no kids or older ones preferably.

These pups are in Boston, Massachusetts too!

She is a medium energy dog who enjoys a play session, followed by a nap. She benefits from slow introductions to other dogs. She would also be fine as an only dog. Zaria happily entertains herself with toys or a romp in the backyard. She has lived with cats and has for the most part ignored their presence. Zaria loves her people and enjoys making new human friends. She can be an enthusiastic greeter and sometimes forgets her size, so older dog-savvy children would be best for her. Zaria enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and looks to her humans for reassurance and guidance in new situations. Zaria is an intelligent girl and very eager to please. She knows a plethora of commands, and loves to learn new things every day. She is fully house trained and crate trained. Zaria enjoys relaxing in her crate throughout the day and sleeps soundly in it overnight. She is looking for an experienced and patient adopter who will continue to provide her with structure and routine so she can continue to be her best self. Are you the lucky family who gets to add Zaria to your bunch? Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
