Story
Hi, my name is Ice! I am looking for an active family who understands dog language and establishes strong boundaries. I thrive in structure. I like to play with toys, especially tennis balls. I need a patient person to keep my housetraining going. I have played well with other dogs who have a high tolerance and can teach me more social skills. I love cuddling up to my people.

Story
Gina was a cruelty, trauma, neglect case that came from an inner city shelter. Her owner had requested her to be euthanized but the shelter was able to sway them to surrender instead. Even for being a senior, she gets around okay. She is not reactive to dogs on walks and is very gentle on the leash. She is protective over her person though, so there shouldn’t be any other animals in her retirement home. She is perfectly okay being a couch potato and loves to catch up on all of her tv shows! When she wags her tail, she wiggles her whole body!

Story
!!Foster-to-adopt eligible!!Meet Mojo!Mojo is a bright, affectionate, and fun-loving boy who absolutely adores his people. Whether it`s going for a walk, playing with his favorite toys, or cuddling up after a day of adventure, Mojo is all in. He’s smart, eager to learn, and is currently thriving in his foster home where he’s been working hard on his training.Mojo is still learning how to feel calm and confident around other animals. Because he gets easily overstimulated by other dogs and has a higher prey drive, he would do best as the only pet in the home. While Mojo means well and loves everyone, his big energy and enthusiasm can sometimes be a little too much, so we recommend a home with adults or teens (18+) who can help guide him as he continues to grow.Shelter life was stressful for Mojo, but in foster care, he`s made great progress and is blossoming every day. To help keep his routine stable and his progress going strong, meet-and-greets are by appointment only. If you think Mojo might be the right match for you, please contact KVHS to schedule a time to meet this lovable guy.Mojo has so much love to give, and he`s ready to share it with someone who will give him the patient, active, and understanding home he deserves.**Update Mojo has been making huge strides in his foster home and is now at a point where he may be willing to meet some dogs :) **

Story
Meet Bruno! He’s a lovable, playful guy with an infectious smile and a heart full of joy. At 65lbs, Bruno isn’t exactly a lap dog though he wishes he could be! He definitely loves to shower his humans with affection. Bruno is friendly with everyone he meets and never a stranger to anyone. We think he’d do best as the only dog in the home. With slow and proper introductions, Bruno can make new friends with other dogs that are willing to join in on the fun. Bruno has the most adorable face with one ear that stands up and the other that flops—how cute is that? He’s a big fan of treats, toys, and frozen goodies to help him stay cool. While he loves to run after thrown objects, he’s still figuring out the whole “fetching” thing. Bruno walks well on a leash but needs more practice with not pulling since his current foster home has a nice fenced yard where he spends most of his time. He’s house trained and crate trained, and when left loose in the house, he behaves himself like a good boy. Bruno would thrive in a home with kids aged 10 and older due to his exuberance and his not-so-small size. His favorite spot to relax? The couch! Bruno loves sprawling out on the sectional, though he’s always happy to make room for his people. He’s also a big fan of giving sweet kisses and cuddles to show his love. Bruno is so ready to meet his furever family, and his adoption fee has been partially sponsored, with $300 of the fee covered, so now's the perfect time to make him part of your family. Ready to make Bruno’s dreams come true? Apply for adoption today at www.underhoundrailroad.org! Bruno is currently fostered in South Carolina but can be transported along the East Coast to his new family, as far North as Maine. Don’t miss out on this happy boy who’s excited to share his love and energy with you! December 21, 2025, 2:14 pm
