Story
Meet Macho Mans! Once known only as “#12” and chained for fighting, Macho Man endured a past no dog ever should. Today, this 6–7-year-old, 60-pound survivor has completely rewritten his story — one of resilience, forgiveness, and an unbelievable capacity for love. Despite his tough beginnings, Macho Man is all heart. He’s soft, soulful, and deeply affectionate. He loves kisses and cuddles, leans in for hugs, and will look you straight in the eyes as if he’s telling you just how much he adores you. At night, he proudly wears his jammies to bed and settles in for a cozy, peaceful sleep. Macho enjoys his walks and sniffy adventures, but he’s not a young gun anymore — relaxation is his specialty. He’s calm, polite, and easygoing, happiest curling up beside his person for a quiet night in. He is house-trained, cooperative for baths and nail trims, and brings a steady, grounding presence wherever he goes. Macho is dog-friendly and does well with other dogs, including small dogs. He would thrive most with a larger, submissive, chill female dog who’s happy to coexist — engaging in play occasionally, but mostly enjoying companionship and shared downtime. He’s not demanding or pushy; he simply likes having a buddy around while still valuing his peace. One thing Macho is *very* passionate about? Squeaky toys. LOVES them. Truly lives for them. After everything he’s been through, Macho Man is ready for a home that values gentleness, comfort, and connection — a place where he can finally feel safe, adored, and at ease for the rest of his days. Could that be you? Apply to adopt Macho Man and give this gentle soul the forever he’s earned: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGD/Dog

Story
Meet Bimbi – Your Loyal, Lovable Companion in the Making   Bimbi is a stunning, 3-year-old spayed beauty weighing in at around 40 pounds. With her regal looks and soulful eyes, she turns heads wherever she goes—but it’s her heart that really makes her shine.   Bimbi has known what it means to be let down, having spent much of her life confined to a crate. Despite this, she got along well with the small dogs in her previous home and remained the friendly, affectionate girl she was born to be. Sadly, when her family fell on hard times, Bimbi was surrendered, and now she’s waiting for her true forever home.   She absolutely loves meeting new people and soaks up attention like sunshine. She adores hugs, belly rubs, kisses, and gentle brushing with a soft brush—she’ll even close her eyes in bliss. Her favorite spot? Anywhere you are.   While Bimbi might not know a ton of commands just yet, she’s eager to learn and food-motivated (she mastered “sit” in record time with a few treats!). She enjoys playing with toys and balls—fetch is a favorite, even if she doesn’t always return the ball right away. Treat-based games are another great way to bond with her and keep her busy.   She’s a big fan of cozy dog beds and fluffy blankets, though when bored, she may chew on them a bit—so she’ll thrive with love, structure, and plenty of companionship. Her happiest moments? Going for car rides with her people. It’s been a while since she’s gotten to feel the wind in her fur, and she misses it deeply.  Bimbi is ready to trade her kennel days for couch cuddles, backyard exploring, movie nights, and being your loyal shadow. She doesn’t think cats make good roommates, so a cat-free home is a must.   If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with her whole heart, who’s ready to learn, ready to play, and even more ready to belong—Bimbi is your girl. Come meet her. She’s been waiting for you.   Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 26, 2025, 11:59 pm

Story
Lolita is a lively bully breed/terrier mix! She LOVES people and other dogs. She would love a playmate! She has a lot of energy, so training and manners would do her well! She’s highly food and toy motivated. Lolita is bound to make you laugh— she’s a silly girl! She hasn’t had direct contact with any of our cats, but has seen them through a baby gate and showed little interest; she from sniffed and just went back to her toys! She still potties in her kennel. She LOVES children but would do best with older children since she tends to jump which can result in scratching. Lolita is a lovely little girl ready for a home— she will light up your life with laughter and fun!
