Story
Meet Mojo, This boy is very people-oriented--loves to play tag, get butt scratches, and generally being the object of your attention! If you are in the market for a guard dog, Mojo is not it! He will be best friends with anyone trying to break into your home. Mojo is working on his leash manners while he is with us and hopes to continue that work in his new home. He is both strong on the leash and can have a lot to say if he sees other animals, especially dogs. This gorgeous gentleman is looking for a cat-free home. Mojo has never lived with dogs before and we don`t know how he would do with them in the home. Encountering dogs at shelter continues to be stressful for him. As for children, Mojo is looking for a home with children who are used to being around dogs or children who are 10 years of age and older. If you are looking to add this bundle of affection to your home, please stop by with all human and canine family members.

Story
Meet Rooney! This dude loves nothing more than fun, playing, and socializing with people and other dogs! He`s a smart as a whip and picks up on stuff very quickly! He enjoys training and loves to show off his little prance when he gets something right! Rooney has been working on his leash manners, learning to sit (Which he is now a master at!), learning auto-sit to help keep his handler engagement, and learning to keep his paws (And mouth) to himself! When meeting new people, he gets extremely excited and forgets his manners (He has baby brain, what can he say!?) Rooney wouldn`t mind meeting future dog siblings. He is although no cats due to chasing them in the previous home. As for kids, 12 YEARS and up would be best suited for this high energy guy, though. When he gets the zoomies, he may accidentally take a kid down, he has no body awareness he also likes to sit on them and at 68lbs that could hurt a little one! Rooney also is in need of a home where someone is always with him, he can go to work with them etc. He has separation anxiety and is destructive when unsupervised, but luckily Rooney loves to ride and go on adventures. Rooney is currently in a foster home while he recovers from double knee surgery but is still searching for his forever home! If you`re interested in meeting him, please give us a call so arrange a meet and greet.

Story
Meet Ziva, This family girl is willing to receive attention from people of all ages! She loves a good couch cuddle session as much as she enjoys Fling Rings (frisbee type toy) Playology Chew Bones. If you like to go for walks or hike, she is game to do that too! Ziva says that she would rather be the only dog getting attention in her home, but she is willing to meet other dogs for a potential play sesh. Ziva also prefers a home with no kitties and children ages 6 and up.If you are interested in meeting Ziva, please stop by with all human members of your household!

Story
Meet Rex, Rex is looking for a home where someone can challenge him in a good game of tug of war ( We wish you good luck, because you`re going to need it!) He`s always up for a good game of fetch, walks around the neighborhood or flopping on the couch for a good nap. We think he`ll be quite the snuggle-bun! Rex can be a tiny bit shy/ nervous meeting someone new people at first, but with treats this boy will soon be trying to lick your face and demanding butt scratches. He is also looking for a home where he can be the full center of attention, meaning Rex will do best with no other animals. No kids under the age of 18 years for this rough and tumble boy. If you are interested in meeting Rex please come to KVHS during open hours with all family members.

Story
Meet Barry, Do you enjoy your dogs to be safely described as `meatheads?` Do you appreciate a dog that knows his own mind? Barry sniffs and walks where he wants to walk. While helping him to learn leash manners, you may feel as though your leash is attached to a brick wall. You will just have to be the brick wall right back! It will be very empowering. Cats? Not allowed in Barry`s house! Other dogs eating? Definitely not allowed in the same room as Barry. Children under 12 will turn into pancakes with his heft; therefore we ask that Barry goes home with older children; Barry knows the feats of strength he has to offer. Strangers or visitors coming into the home will be exposed to a strict vetting process that will definitely be paired with barking until you have convinced him that these are new people to show off his toys to. Barry insists his joints be treated with love and respect through a continued weight loss regimen and the medication Carprofen for life. If you are interested in making Barry a permanent member of your family, please stop by with all human and canine family members.

Story
Meet Teddy, Have you ever met a dog that likes to make snow angels? We haven`t either, but Teddy sure does love kicking his legs up in the white stuff! Teddy is a huggable lug who enjoys some good neck scratchies; just get under that collar please! Teddy is looking for a strong handler because he is a freight train--perhaps not in speed, but in strength. He is deeply affectionate towards anyone living in the home, but he can be a bit of a curmudgeon, being suspicious of those who set foot on his lawn. His ideal home will be free of cats, and children under the age of 12. If it contains other dogs, these dogs must be fed separately from Teddy. If you are interested in meeting Teddy, please stop by with all human and canine family members.
