Story
Ready to be your sidekick and forever friend, meet Tinkerbell! Tinkerbell is a 5 year old pittie with a sleek black coat that shines as brightly as her personality! She’s the perfect blend of calm and playfulness—enjoying running around a fenced yard playing catch by herself or eagerly waiting for someone to toss the ball for her. Inside, Tinkerbell is as chill as they come, thinking she’s a lapdog and loving to cuddle on the couch, giving her full attention to her humans. Tinkerbell would thrive as the only dog in the home, but she can also get along with one other dog, especially if they're mild-mannered and respect her space. She gets a bit nervous when dogs rush at her too quickly, so slow and steady introductions are a must. Tinkerbell loves meeting new people, and has even done well with kids. She’s already crate and house trained and has even completed a professional dog training program. Tinkerbell enjoys leisurely or brisk walks. Her favorite treats include yogurt, peanut butter, and anything delicious—except for veggies or fruits! She loves enrichment toys, especially Kongs stuffed with tasty goodies. This sweet girl has come a long way from her rough beginnings. Tinkerbell was once a stray, uncatchable for 8 months, and gave birth underneath a shed before finally trusting enough to be rescued. Since then, she’s thrived in foster care and is now ready to find her forever family. Tinkerbell’s adoption fee has been partially sponsored with $150 covered, so now’s the perfect time to bring her into your life! Apply for adoption today at https://underhoundrailroad.org/adoptionprocess/. Tinkerbell is currently fostered in Denver, North Carolina but can be transported along the East Coast, as far North as Maine. Come make her journey from rescue dog to forever home a reality! Story
Meet Bruno! He’s a lovable, playful guy with an infectious smile and a heart full of joy. At 65lbs, Bruno isn’t exactly a lap dog though he wishes he could be! He definitely loves to shower his humans with affection. Bruno is friendly with everyone he meets and never a stranger to anyone. We think he’d do best as the only dog in the home. With slow and proper introductions, Bruno can make new friends with other dogs that are willing to join in on the fun. Bruno has the most adorable face with one ear that stands up and the other that flops—how cute is that? He’s a big fan of treats, toys, and frozen goodies to help him stay cool. While he loves to run after thrown objects, he’s still figuring out the whole “fetching” thing. Bruno walks well on a leash but needs more practice with not pulling since his current foster home has a nice fenced yard where he spends most of his time. He’s house trained and crate trained, and when left loose in the house, he behaves himself like a good boy. Bruno would thrive in a home with kids aged 10 and older due to his exuberance and his not-so-small size. His favorite spot to relax? The couch! Bruno loves sprawling out on the sectional, though he’s always happy to make room for his people. He’s also a big fan of giving sweet kisses and cuddles to show his love. Bruno is so ready to meet his furever family, and his adoption fee has been partially sponsored, with $150 of the fee covered, so now's the perfect time to make him part of your family. Ready to make Bruno’s dreams come true? Apply for adoption today at www.underhoundrailroad.org! Bruno is currently fostered in South Carolina but can be transported along the East Coast to his new family, as far North as Maine. Don’t miss out on this happy boy who’s excited to share his love and energy with you! February 2, 2025, 1:08 pm

Story
Chyanne will capture your heart with her deep golden soulful eyes and her gentle sweetness. 4 year old Chyanne is shy around new people at first, but when she opens up, this brown beauty will melt your heart! She will give you a look of utter adoration and affection once you gain her trust. She will lovingly sit next to you on the couch, rest her front paws and head and nuzzle into your lap for cuddles and head rubs. As Chyanne gets accustomed to her surroundings, she will show you her fun & playful side. Chyanne likes to chase her ball around the room, playing with her chew toys and self-entertaining herself. During the day, Chyanne will mostly quietly lay on her bed watching the birds and squirrels through the window. She will occasionally come up to you pressing her wet nose to you to say hello before returning to her bed or chew toys. This beautiful girl is potty-trained and crate trained and will sleep throughout the night with no fuss. She barks only when there is a strange sound or unfamiliar noise outside the house, warning off any "intruders"! Chyanne is a foodie, who loves her veggies and fruits. Chyanne has started to enjoy walks around the neighborhood and gets super excited when she knows she gets to go on a car ride with her foster family. For  potty break, she will run in the yard before enthusiastically and excitedly running back to the house to be let in. Chyanne is currently the only dog in her foster home enjoying all the one on one attention. She wouldn't mind staying a solo dog but has also done well with other dogs who are just as easy going as she. Chyanne is a no fuss-no muss kinda girl, who can't wait to meet her forever family and shower them with kisses, cuddles and tons of love!  Are you Chyanne's furever? Send in your application today at https://underhoundrailroad.org/adoptionprocess/. Not only will you gain a loyal friend, also source of inspiration and joy!   Chyanne is currently being fostered in Cary, North Carolina. She may transport along the East Coast as far North as Maine to her adoptive home. February 25, 2025, 2:52 am

Story
Meet Jax, a lovable and well-mannered 7-year-old dog ready to start his next chapter! He’s the true definition of a “good boy” and is looking for a warm, welcoming home. Jax has lived with cats before and would do best in a home with dog-savvy cats, especially if there’s plenty of space for proper introductions. We’re using “good judgement” when introducing him other dogs and children, but he’s shown positive interactions with kids aged 9 and 13 in the past. Jax appreciates respectful children as he adjusts to a new environment. Once he feels at ease, he offers steady companionship and will fill your home with love and joy. Jax will need a vet relationship established before adoption to continue his health journey into his golden years. If you`re interested in meeting this sweet boy, please fill out an application and come in to visit!
