Story
To all that are concerned: We have had 2 Pitbull mixes with us for almost a year. Dobbi and Ijay came into board with us at Four Paws Bed and Bath last December 20, 2023. Their owner abandoned them, and we have been trying to find them a home where they can go together. They are 4 years old and have been together since birth. We are hoping to get them into a rescue, foster care or a permanent home soon. I have had them neutered and they are fully vaccinated and there is no charge as they deserve a good home and get out of the kennel environment. The are good with cats and people. We are in Rupert, Idaho and would be happy to deliver them to you, if possible. Would you please consider them? They are so deserving to have a home where they will be loved and never abandoned again. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Cathy Kraus

Meet special-needs GHOST! He is 6 years old and deaf. Based on what we have seen so far, GHOST will need a family without other pets or small kids. We have seen that he is good on car rides and loves toys. He can entertain himself in a home. He is very bonded with the foster dad who has had him for several years, so will need a patient family. SPECIAL OFFER: If GHOST is adopted to a furever family located in the Treasure Valley, then A Pawsitive Alternative Dog Training (Paul Kline) will provide 6 courtesy training sessions for GHOST and the adopter. He is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped, so very ready for his furever home. BONUS: One of GHOST's angels created a painting of him (see photo) and will be donating it to his adopter. https://photos.app.goo.gl/f676DNZb6hR1Dh9i9

Story
Meet JACKSON... This almost 3 year old, 57-pound cattle dog/pitbull blend was surrendered to the shelter by the only family that he knew because of behavior issues. We have found that JACKSON loves people and is easy on leash. Because of his difficult past, sweet JACKSON needs a special foster home that is pet-free and kid-free! Someone home most of the time is best for JACKSON as he works through his anxiety and trust issues. The rescue will provide necessary resources as we help him through these behavior issues. JACKSON is healthy, neutered, and current on vaccines so ready to make a change. https://photos.app.goo.gl/x54dnVb9erVRW7f3A

Story
Thanks to the patience of a dedicated foster family, we are learning more about 2 year old, only 29-lb (severely underweight) RUSTY while he heals from his physical, and likely emotional scars, from being dumped in a canyon to fend for himself. RUSTY is living with a family that includes five kids, youngest is 7 years old. He does great with the kids, but is starting to show some interest in the chickens. RUSTY is fully house-trained and does well in his crate (knows 'kennel up') RUSTY is super interested in what’s going on around him and enjoys looking out the window and following his people the house. He loves to snuggle up on the couch and will give you a million kisses while you love on him. RUSTY hates the snow/rain and it’s a little bit of a battle to get him to go out sometimes, but he does like being outside when it’s warm and sunny (typical pittie!). RUSTY shows no interest in escaping the yard. RUSTY does not show any resource guarding of his food, but gets a little impatient if you withhold his treats...What do you expect from a dog that went without food for so long on his own. The foster family is slowly increasing his food intake to help him gain some much-needed weight after his ordeal. RUSTY was not sure what a car ride included and showed some anxiety; however, he has figured out that they mean that he gets to go for walks which he loves. He will need some training for loose-leash walking. Doesn't RUSTY sound like a pawsome dog!?? BACKGROUND: This poor dog was dumped in a canyon to fend for himself. He was found emaciated with large wounds to his neck and abdomen. A Good Samaritan hiking Rock Creek Park walked him out of the area and immediately to Healing Hands Small Animal Emergency Hospital, Twin Falls. A dedicated foster opened up their home and hearts to this poor guy so that FFAR could rescue him. https://photos.app.goo.gl/b2bmRhaM86bwMgNj7

Story
Hi, I am MIni, but don't let the name fool you. I am a Great Dane, Pitbull, Mastiff cross. I do have a DNA profile from one of my siblings available and I have pics of mom and dad (dad looked like Marmaduke). I came to the rescue with 17 siblings of various ages when a younger human sibling became ill. My mom and dad decided while our humans were away to have another litter. There were so many of us that our humans tried hard to keep us together but had to focus on our young human sibling and it was decided that we needed to find another place to live. This was very scary for two of us especially. We had never been away from our home in the country and we ended up in a shelter that scared two of us so bad that we just froze. The nice man from the rescue came and saved us from the noisy place and since then I have been coming out of my shell, but it is taking me longer than my sister. I am so happy when my foster comes home from work and lets me out to potty that I don't want to go back into the house. I just want to hang out in the yard and not sit in front of the tv like my sister wants to do. I used to live with little humans but I am a big girl and am just over 1 year old so I worry I could bump into them accidentally. I have not met a lot of humans so I am super shy at first and I just want to watch you for a while to make sure you are an okay person. I have not met a lot of people so sometimes I am slow to decide you are okay. If you have patience with me you will see that it passes and I will begin to warm up before you know it. If you are active and like outside and not sit in front of the tv all the time then you may be the person for me.

Story
Jeezy is a super sweet brindle pitbull that was placed in boarding while his owner was incarcerated this was 8 months ago. After being in boarding for five months his owner failed to contact boarding and pick him up upon release, he was deemed abandoned and came into the rescue. He reportedly got along with other dogs and lived with kids and cats prior to being abandoned but has since become kennel stressed and has had an altercation with another dog. He is depressed no one has come to see him and he was sick for a while as well. He misses a family and the other dogs barking all the time and the length of time he has spent in a kennel is breaking his spirit. He needs to be in a patient home without other pets and have some time to rediscover life outside of a kennel. He may be able to overcome his newly found dislike for other dogs once he has a place to settle in and a family to love him once again. We are all heartbroken over his heart being broken. He is still in boarding and needs out if only for a little while to unwind. He is seeking a temp or permanent foster and/or adopter.
