Story
Meet Ghost — A Gentle Soul Who’s Come So Far Ghost’s journey is one of patience, growth, and quiet transformation. When he first came into rescue, he was overwhelmed by the world—vocal, reactive, and unsure of his surroundings. Today, that same dog has blossomed into a calm, affectionate, and laid-back companion who shows just how powerful love and consistency can be. Now about almost 8 years old, Ghost is a striking white Pit Bull mix with a soft presence and a deeply loving heart. He is deaf, which once made navigating the world confusing, but he has learned beautifully that safety, routine, and trust can replace fear. Ghost communicates through connection—eye contact, body language, and a quiet devotion to his people. Because he cannot hear other dogs’ cues, Ghost can occasionally misread interactions. For that reason, he would do best as an only pet or with a very calm, respectful dog companion who understands his needs. That said, Ghost recently attended an adoption event and did exceptionally well—remaining calm and interacting politely with other dogs. His progress has been remarkable. Ghost now enjoys the simple, peaceful things in life: Relaxing car rides Carrying or gently tossing his toys Lounging quietly near his people Forming deep, loyal bonds with those he trusts His foster describes him as sweet, gentle, loyal, and affectionate once he feels secure. With time and care, Ghost has truly mellowed, transforming from anxious and reactive to relaxed and confident. Special Notes: Neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines Adoption includes six complimentary training sessions with A Pawsitive Alternative Dog Training (Paul Kline) for Treasure Valley adopters A beautiful custom painting of Ghost, donated by one of his biggest fans, will go home with his adopter Ghost is ready to find his forever person—someone patient, kind, and understanding of a dog who listens with his heart instead of his ears. If you are looking for a loyal, steady companion who has already done the hard work of healing, Ghost is ready to meet you. Story
Meet Jackson – The Quirky Gentleman with a Big Personality At around 8 years old, Jackson is the perfect blend of charm, independence, and heart. This small terrier cross may have a few gray whiskers, but he’s still full of spunk — the kind of dog who keeps life interesting in the best way possible. Jackson has what we lovingly call a “cat-like personality.” One moment, he’s your biggest fan, ready for cuddles and belly rubs; the next, he’ll politely excuse himself for some alone time, as if to say, “I love you, but I need my space.” It’s all part of his quirky charm — and those who understand him quickly fall in love with his funny, expressive ways. Despite his independent streak, Jackson is affectionate, loyal, and easy to have around. He enjoys short walks, relaxing in a sunny spot, and being near his person — even if he’s pretending not to pay attention. What Makes Jackson Special: Senior sweetheart with personality and wit Small and manageable size — easy travel companion or apartment buddy Leash and house trained Prefers to be the only dog (he enjoys peace and quiet) Best in a calm, adult home where he can set the pace and routine Jackson is neutered, healthy, and current on vaccinations. He doesn’t need much — just a soft bed, a gentle hand, and someone who appreciates his mix of independence and affection. After all, Jackson isn’t looking for constant attention — he’s looking for understanding, for someone who loves him for who he is: a loyal, sometimes silly, always endearing little companion with a big heart. Story
MEET KILLUA (Ki-loo-ah, meaning “Son of Lightning”) ⚡️ Killua is a 3-year-old Boxer/Pittie mix that weighs 87 lbs and has been patiently waiting in rescue for nearly two years. It’s time this lovable boy finally finds his forever home—and whoever adopts him is truly hitting the jackpot! Killua is the perfect mix of goofy, affectionate, and old-soul charm. He’ll flash you the biggest smiles, then curl up next to you, gently placing his paw on your hand for affection. He loves chew toys, treats, and car rides (though he sometimes needs a little encouragement to hop in). He’s smart, playful, and full of personality—whether he’s chasing his brother around the yard, going for walks, or snuggling after playtime. Killua would love to be adopted with his brother, Knightwing, but he can also thrive on his own with another playful dog. •Could do well with older, gentle children (but not toddlers—he’s a big guy and might knock them over) •Does best in a home without cats or small animals •Curious on walks, still improving his leash skills •House-trained and enjoys time both indoors and outdoors •A fenced yard would be ideal One sweet moment: during a walk, a young girl offered him a treat—he gently and politely accepted it. That’s Killua’s heart in a nutshell—big, gentle, and full of love.

Story
💜 JASMINE NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER 💜 Jasmine’s story is one of survival and second chances. This brave girl spent over a month on the run as a pregnant stray, fending for herself and searching for a safe place to bring her babies into the world. When she was finally found, she led rescuers to an abandoned camp trailer — and inside were eight beautiful, healthy puppies. Her little family was rescued that day. They all went to a temp foster home with Loni Groves until another rescue took in her pups, and Jasmine remained with Loni where she could rest, recover, and learn to trust again. She has since been fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, and now she’s ready to find a foster or forever home of her own. Jasmine is looking for a calm, patient home — ideally a quiet household with a fenced yard and a kind family who can offer her understanding and stability. She enjoys going for walks and does well on a leash, but she still needs slow introductions to new people and other dogs. Jasmine seems to prefer women but can bond well with men who approach her calmly and confidently. She’s not a “project dog” — she’s a soul who’s been through a lot and just needs someone who will meet her with patience, reassurance, and love. Someone who understands the loyal heart of a pittie and can give her the safety she’s always deserved.
