Story
Meet special-needs GHOST! He is 6 years old and deaf. Based on what we have seen so far, GHOST will need a family without other pets or small kids. We have seen that he is good on car rides and loves toys. He can entertain himself in a home. He is very bonded with the foster dad who has had him for several years, so will need a patient family. SPECIAL OFFER: If GHOST is adopted to a furever family located in the Treasure Valley, then A Pawsitive Alternative Dog Training (Paul Kline) will provide 6 courtesy training sessions for GHOST and the adopter. He is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped, so very ready for his furever home. BONUS: One of GHOST's angels created a painting of him (see photo) and will be donating it to his adopter. https://photos.app.goo.gl/f676DNZb6hR1Dh9i9

Story
Meet JACKSON... This almost 3 year old, 57-pound cattle dog/pitbull blend was surrendered to the shelter by the only family that he knew because of behavior issues. We have found that JACKSON loves people and is easy on leash. Because of his difficult past, sweet JACKSON needs a special foster home that is pet-free and kid-free! Someone home most of the time is best for JACKSON as he works through his anxiety and trust issues. The rescue will provide necessary resources as we help him through these behavior issues. JACKSON is healthy, neutered, and current on vaccines so ready to make a change. https://photos.app.goo.gl/x54dnVb9erVRW7f3A

Story
Thanks to the patience of a dedicated foster family, we are learning more about 2 year old, only 29-lb (severely underweight) RUSTY while he heals from his physical, and likely emotional scars, from being dumped in a canyon to fend for himself. RUSTY is living with a family that includes five kids, youngest is 7 years old. He does great with the kids, but is starting to show some interest in the chickens. RUSTY is fully house-trained and does well in his crate (knows 'kennel up') RUSTY is super interested in what’s going on around him and enjoys looking out the window and following his people the house. He loves to snuggle up on the couch and will give you a million kisses while you love on him. RUSTY hates the snow/rain and it’s a little bit of a battle to get him to go out sometimes, but he does like being outside when it’s warm and sunny (typical pittie!). RUSTY shows no interest in escaping the yard. RUSTY does not show any resource guarding of his food, but gets a little impatient if you withhold his treats...What do you expect from a dog that went without food for so long on his own. The foster family is slowly increasing his food intake to help him gain some much-needed weight after his ordeal. RUSTY was not sure what a car ride included and showed some anxiety; however, he has figured out that they mean that he gets to go for walks which he loves. He will need some training for loose-leash walking. Doesn't RUSTY sound like a pawsome dog!?? BACKGROUND: This poor dog was dumped in a canyon to fend for himself. He was found emaciated with large wounds to his neck and abdomen. A Good Samaritan hiking Rock Creek Park walked him out of the area and immediately to Healing Hands Small Animal Emergency Hospital, Twin Falls. A dedicated foster opened up their home and hearts to this poor guy so that FFAR could rescue him. https://photos.app.goo.gl/b2bmRhaM86bwMgNj7

Story
Hi, I am MIni, but don't let the name fool you. I am a Great Dane, Pitbull, Mastiff cross. I do have a DNA profile from one of my siblings available and I have pics of mom and dad (dad looked like Marmaduke). I came to the rescue with 17 siblings of various ages when a younger human sibling became ill. My mom and dad decided while our humans were away to have another litter. There were so many of us that our humans tried hard to keep us together but had to focus on our young human sibling and it was decided that we needed to find another place to live. This was very scary for two of us especially. We had never been away from our home in the country and we ended up in a shelter that scared two of us so bad that we just froze. The nice man from the rescue came and saved us from the noisy place and since then I have been coming out of my shell, but it is taking me longer than my sister. I am so happy when my foster comes home from work and lets me out to potty that I don't want to go back into the house. I just want to hang out in the yard and not sit in front of the tv like my sister wants to do. I used to live with little humans but I am a big girl and am just over 1 year old so I worry I could bump into them accidentally. I have not met a lot of humans so I am super shy at first and I just want to watch you for a while to make sure you are an okay person. I have not met a lot of people so sometimes I am slow to decide you are okay. If you have patience with me you will see that it passes and I will begin to warm up before you know it. If you are active and like outside and not sit in front of the tv all the time then you may be the person for me.

Story
Jeezy is a super sweet brindle pitbull that was placed in boarding while his owner was incarcerated this was 8 months ago. After being in boarding for five months his owner failed to contact boarding and pick him up upon release, he was deemed abandoned and came into the rescue. He reportedly got along with other dogs and lived with kids and cats prior to being abandoned but has since become kennel stressed and has had an altercation with another dog. He is depressed no one has come to see him and he was sick for a while as well. He misses a family and the other dogs barking all the time and the length of time he has spent in a kennel is breaking his spirit. He needs to be in a patient home without other pets and have some time to rediscover life outside of a kennel. He may be able to overcome his newly found dislike for other dogs once he has a place to settle in and a family to love him once again. We are all heartbroken over his heart being broken. He is still in boarding and needs out if only for a little while to unwind. He is seeking a temp or permanent foster and/or adopter.

Story
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR KNIGHTWING This sweet almost 2 year old Boxer/Pitty blend is looking for his very own loving family or a foster family that can help teach him the ropes of being a dog. He's quite sociable with new people, often standing on his hind legs to greet and enjoys a good belly rub. Curious about daily activities, he follows the broom during floor sweeping and loves resting with his head in your lap. While generally quiet indoors, he tends to bark more when outside. Enjoys chewing on strong chew toys and playing with his brothers. Leash walks are a breeze, and he exhibits a keen curiosity. Not a fan of cats and squirrels, and small dogs are a bit uncertain due to a past encounter with a neighbor's dog. He is also house trained. He is a big boy at 95 lbs but just a big teddy bear. Fenced yard required.

Story
Hope Honeyheart is the sweetest girl! She’s quiet, mellow and calm, making for a perfect little work from home companion, or a member of a quiet, calm household. She’s incredibly loving with her favorite people and so friendly with strangers, a lovebug through and through. We think that Hope may be a Labrador, Pit Bull mix, but she is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed. Hope is currently estimated to be around one year old, and she currently weighs in at a soft and snuggly 40 pounds. Watch Hope here: https://youtu.be/tY8yvvf-ZAw?si=QvVb4CKLO27W9Hwz Hope is a sweet girl, but she can be a little bit shy in new environments for a moment or two. A few pets and a soft voice win her over quickly. Hope adores new friends, and greets every stranger with a tail wag. With her favorite humans, Hope is a total Velcro dog. She trots after her favorite staff members, eager to accompany them to wherever they may be headed. She loves to be next to her humans, or even in their laps if they’ll allow it! Hope is an expressive girl, using her tail, eyebrows and ears to communicate clearly with us human folk. While she’s communicative, she’s not talkative! Hope is remarkably quiet, and we have yet to hear her bark here at the rescue. Hope is extremely easy-going, and her quiet demeanor will make her a wonderful companion dog for a quiet lifestyle. Hope is gentle and good on leash, still polishing her leash skills, but with a little more practice she will be an excellent walking companion. She auto-sits for treats, and takes treats so gently. She’s very food motivated, meaning that further training will be enjoyable for both of you. Hope is very dog friendly, and is currently fostered with multiple doggy-siblings. Hope plays so well with others. We would love to see Hope adopted into a household with other dogs, our behavior team recommends a polite doggy brother. Here at the rescue, Hope was cat tested, and we believe her to be cat tolerant. She could live with dog savvy kitties. See her cat test for yourself in her video. Hope’s perfect home would have at least one loving human to adore her, and a doggy friend to help her feel more comfortable. Hope would prefer a home with a back yard, or a home with minimal traffic around it, as she prefers calmer environments. We think Hope would do well as a family dog, with older kids that can be respectful of her boundaries. Hope is a sweet girl, but we do think it may take her some time to settle in and bond with her new family, because she is such a sensitive and soft girl. We hope that her forever family will give her the time and space she needs to properly decompress upon her arrival. Save the “welcome home” party for a later date, instead welcome Hope home with softness and sweetness, and she will love you endlessly for it. Hope is such a good girl, and she has waited far too long for her forever family. Don’t make Hope wait another day, apply today. With any questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Hope with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $800 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
INTRODUCING KILLUA (meaning: son of lightning) Killua, a charming boxer cross approaching 2 years old, weighs 87 lbs and is on the lookout for his forever home. Killua exudes an old-soul charm. He'll nestle next to you, gently placing his paw on you for a pat. He's more comfortable around women but can be cautious around men. Killua would thrive in a home without cats or small dogs. He adores car rides, though he might need a bit of encouragement to hop into the vehicle. During one of our walks, Killua met a mother and her young daughter. The little girl offered him a treat, and he behaved impeccably, delicately accepting the treat from her. I believe he could mesh well with older, gentle children; however, toddlers might not be the best match due to his size. He relishes chew toys and treats, and he's at ease both indoors and outdoors. Thunder tends to scare him. On walks, he exhibits curiosity towards sounds, often standing at attention before moving along. He is still working on his leash skills. Is house trained.

Story
I don’t know what’s more to love! She’s squishy in all the right places, wiggly in all the best ways, gentle as can be, and smiles bigger than you can imagine. Lulu Luna is the whole package! She lights up a room with her energy and can make anyone’s days 100x better. She has something so special about her that makes you instantly fall in love. Her personality and energy is contagious. You can see it for yourself when you watch her video. When she looks at you through the camera with that big ole pitty smile, pay attention to how that made you feel and ask yourself, “did I just instantly feel way happier because this dog smiled at me?”. The answer to your question is 100% without a doubt, yes. That’s exactly what happens and that’s what we mean by her personality and energy is contagious. Get ready to fall in love: https://youtu.be/W-Py-ZO9CLU Lulu Luna is an absolute sweet heart! She loves life and you can see it in everything she does. Lulu loves to be around people. She’s a people’s dog, big and small. People make her the happiest. Luna is wonderfully attentive to her person and if you have treats, that is the quickest way to this girls heart. Although it doesn’t take much from the get go. She really lights up when she feels your gaze fall on her, she will turn that charm on so fast and next thing you know, you’re in love! Its exactly what happened to me. She gave me the eyes, the love, and then hit me with a sit, down, shake combo and we almost ran away together. It doesn’t matter if she has known you her whole life or if she just met you seconds ago, she already loves you. Lulu Luna is a beautiful brindle pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 51 lbs of pure love and wiggles. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Lulu is very smart, loves to learn things and is a sucker for treats which will make any future training with her that much more enjoyable. She already comes with a few tricks up her sleeve that she has learned such as sit, shake, lay down and will continue to learn new and cool tricks that she can show off until her forever family finds her. You’ll constantly catch her checking in with her handler listening for the next mark. She can be a little stubborn at times and doesn’t want to listen (typical diva) but with a strong handler and consistency she’ll catch on quickly. Luna also loves to go on walks and going on adventures through the trails where she can smell all the smells and enjoy the great outdoors. She walks like a dream on a special training leash that we like to use at the rescue called a gentle leader. Which is essentially just an extra training tool that helps her be the best doggy citizen that we know she is. She is crate trained, potty trained, has great house manners, takes treats gently, is not destructive in the home and loves toys! She can entertain herself for hours with some toys. She likes to toss them up in the air and tries to catch them. It’s very entertaining to watch. Luna is also an angel around young children. She loves kids and lights up when she is around them. Not only does she love kids but she is also very tolerant with physical touch and even lets little ones rest their head on her. She also doesn’t mind when kids are running around her, yelling, playing with toys or any of the scenarios that comes with having kids, including tantrums and crying fits. As a rule of thumb, all dogs should always be supervised around young children. Dog safety is very important and it’s important to teach good dog safety and boundaries for happy relationships with both kids and dogs. Luna loves to be outside and would do best in a home with a backyard where she can play with her toys, romp around, and sunbathe during the nice summer days. She’s the perfect companion to have around for patio cookouts with friends and family, If you have some trails you’re wanting to explore she’s already in the car sitting next to you as your passenger princess ready for an adventure. Luna also isn’t opposed to those cozy lazy days either. She’s very affectionate and loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch. She really is open to anything as long as she’s with her people she’s happy. Luna does need to be the only animal in the home but she has enough personality and love for multiple dogs so we don’t believe you’ll ever be short on affection or companionship from this girly. We are willing to test Luna Lulu with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know If you have any questions or would like us to explore how Luna handles any other situation or circumstance, email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org- we are here to help! Story
Banjo here is a family man, the type that likes a walk in the morning to start the day off right followed by a down-on-the floor play session with the kids. We love those guys! Sure he is a dog and can’t pay the bills but he promises to support the family with all the love, fun, and memory making anyone could ask for. Take a look and learn more about him- https://youtu.be/q9aNCpOKo00 Banjo just barely made it in to the infamous, itty-bitty-pitty club, he is small but more like sleek or sporty. I think we will start a new club called the nifty-fifty-pitty club just for Banjo- he weighs 50 lbs and wants to live for 50 years so he is taking care of himself. This handsome guy has been fortunate to spend his time waiting for his adoption day in a loving foster home, giving him a head start on becoming an excellent house dog. Banjo’s foster family has been dedicated to his continued growth and improvement, they are his #1 fans and have poured that love into making sure he is ready to be a wonderful pet. From ensuring he is house and crate trained to his leash walking skills, they are proud of where he is at ad truly feel he is ready to fly. Living in a home with kids has ensured that Banjo understands sharing toys gently and the importance of keeping all his paws on the ground when greeting someone, especially little ones. He can still get a little loose when he plays so older kids, steady on their feet would be best. That sleek figure of his is swift and we all know that a toddlers sea legs get blown over by the wind so easily. Being a toy lover and treat motivated translates into a highly trainable, self entertaining guy, two things worth their weight in gold for a dog lover. Plus, he learns fast! Getting his attention for a training session doesn’t take any work, say his name, ask him to sit, show him a treat and there you go. Honestly, you don’t even need the treat- it just helps. He has mastered sit and wait, which are great tools when its time to put a leash on for a walk. Once he hits the sidewalk he is in the zone, ready to get those steps in! He is friendly to people but has worked hard to not let them distract him if he hasn’t been given permission to greet them. If you’re at a cafe relaxing though, his gorgeous galaxy coat and expressive ears are sure to draw a few people over wanting to say hi. Banjo is going to make a wonderful companion and thanks to his size and quiet nature he is a great candidate for apartment/townhouse living. He isn’t going to be barking at every sound in the hallway or when you leave for work. No barking in the kennel here. Wait, theres more! He is also great in the car! Whether he is in the mood to look out the window or its nap-time, he will be right where you put him, enjoying himself. Banjo is ready for the fur-ever role of your best boy. Ready to enjoy walks together and create a load of wonderful memories, playing and exploring together! Please email : Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
**Fostered in Portland, OR and ready for meet and greets!** Meet Little Lady: Your Affectionate And Easy Companion! Little Lady has a big personality, and an even bigger heart. She loves to play and be silly, but she loves her humans more than anything. She is incredibly affectionate and loves to wrap her arms around you to give you a full hug, and then smother your face in kisses. You won't find a more devoted and loving friend than LL. https://youtu.be/HEJWXP9cPqQ?feature=shared This sweetheart is an easy companion and has good manners for a young dog. She's crate trained and potty trained, and she knows commands like Sit, Lay Down, Settle, No, Outside, and Night Night. She loves to run around with a squeaky toy, and her favorite treats include apples with peanut butter and sweet potato. Little Lady is ~60 lbs and 1 year old. We think she may be a Pittie/Lab mix, but with rescue its always a guess. We like to call them a Texas Surprise! Little Lady owes her name to her beautiful mom, Lady, whom she resembles. She is sure to steal your heart with her deep brown eyes and big beautiful smile! She has a gorgeous black coat, with chocolate colored legs. She spent almost her whole life in one loving foster home with her mom and siblings, who gave her a great start in learning doggy manners. She has lived with a special needs teenager, and another adult who was in a wheelchair, proving she does great with people of all abilities. LL is now being fostered in a home with 3 other dogs and her foster parents. She is gentle when meeting kids, and is easy to take everywhere. She is good on leash and loves the attention when she goes out in public. She's a social butterfly who enjoys the company of other dogs and people. Little Lady would do best in a home with a yard where she can frolic and play. She would do great with kids and other dogs, but those things aren't required. What she needs most is a human who enjoys her affectionate, fun-loving nature. She takes treats gently and is eager to learn, so training her is a breeze. She would make an excellent dog for a first-time dog owner. Don't miss out on the chance to make Little Lady a part of your family - she's ready to be your new best friend! The adoption fee is $800 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Hi, I'm CHARM, I am a senior brindle that will charm you with my personality. I am a sweet and healthy girl, a Boxer blend that some call "tomboyish". I love all people, but I am a senior so I prefer older kids. I'm crate-trained and potty-trained. I'm ok with dogs when I see them on a walk, but would rather have a home without any dogs or cats. Check out my video (below) where I just tail-wag meeting strangers and even other dogs at a Petsmart adoption event. I'm already spayed, current on vaccines, and will come with a microchip. My adoption fee has been reduced because I am a senior even though I am healthy no one knows how much time anyone truly has left. Because like many seniors I am set in my ways and prefer to be the only pet, I have been frequently overlooked. I have been waiting for you my new best friend and I would love to give you the best years of my life, you won't be sorry I have so much love still left to give. Help my furever family find me. https://photos.app.goo.gl/9nwE51aa6uEb7Fuv6
