Story
Bishop - Needs Foster or Forever home Male Pit bull type dog About 6 years old House trained Crate trained Walks well on a leash Knows basic commands Can live happily with another dog of similar size Needs a home with older children Up to date with vaccines Neutered Bishop came to us as an owner surrender. He had been rescued from a bad situation by a Good Samaritan who could not keep him. We saw him advertised on a free pets' site and contacted the owner, who was thankfully was willing to work with a rescue. After spending time in boarding while we searched for a foster home for him, Bishop has spent time in foster-based training. He has done great! Bishop loves his walks, and needs a family who will take him on adventures and continue to introduce him to new people, places, and things. He would love a family who is at home for at least part of the day - a stay-at-home parent, a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home would be ideal for him. He is happiest when he is with people. He is an absolutely wonderful, happy, affectionate dog who will make a wonderful family member. Story
This is Ruby!  She was found on the streets of Memphis and a couple days later she had 15 puppies in our rescue. She took great care of her puppies and they are all adopted now. Ruby is a gentle soul. She looks at you with eyes that show appreciation for her life. Her tail is always slowly wagging and she has a happy bark that bounces her whole body. Ruby loves hugs and pets from her humans. She is very sweet and calm most times - but does like to chew on bones and has energy to do short zoomies in the yard. She loves to go for slow walks especially if she gets to sniff along the way. It is entertaining to watch her look for bugs in the grass. She is always jumping back in surprise at  any movement.  She will throw herself down on the grass  and rub her back conv e nien tly exposing her belly for a rub . Ruby likes to be hosed down when it is hot out. Ruby is very smart and is responsive to commands and training. Ruby currently spends her days in an outdoor run and her nights in her crate inside. She is housed next to another female dog who she gets along great with. She likes other dogs but doesn't put up with any silly play.    She is best as an only dog or with an owner with breed specific experience. She is about 6  years old, and weighs 70   lbs.   Ruby has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $550  and includes her transportation to her new home in CT.  SHE IS IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO HER NEW HOME ONCE ADOPTED!  New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company.    If you would like to apply to adopt Ruby, please fill out our online application here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.  Any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnigs_animalrescue@yahoo.com.   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
**This dog is NOT attending the event due to not liking other dogs. Please apply via Dog Days or www.brasscityrescue.org to meet Kipper. ** Kipper, our beautiful 5-year-old girl, is looking for her forever home, and we know you'll fall in love with her the moment you meet her. Her soft cuddly fur and gorgeous brown eyes will capture your heart instantly, but it's her playful and loving personality that will make you want to take her home. Kipper is active and needs her daily walkies or rides.  This little cutie found her way to us when her mom had to move and couldn't take her along. It's been a tough time for Kipper, and she's been patiently waiting for someone to give her the love and care she deserves. Kipper is an active and playful pup who loves nothing more than chasing her toys and playing fetch. She's always up for a game of tug-of-war and will happily keep you entertained for hours. But when she's not busy playing, Kipper loves nothing more than snuggling up next to her favorite human for some cuddles and belly rubs. She's a true people-pleaser and will do anything to make you happy.      As much as Kipper loves most people, she has been known to be leery of some men and will guard the home on occasion. She would do best in a home with older children and no other pets BUT we’ve been successful socializing her with large male dogs on walks and in our yard. We are confident that she enjoys the playtime so we are hopeful she could be buddies with a dog but not live with it. She wants all the attention for herself and would thrive in a peaceful environment where she can be the center of your world. She's not a fan of sharing her toys but will happily share her heart with her new family. A blurb from her foster: She’s pretty good. She did some counter surfing a couple times but only if I was gone for the day. She is very high energy when coming home from work but settles down fairly quickly. Once she’s settled she is like the perfect dog and listens great. She absolutely loves women but is somewhat hesitant of men. After the first few minutes she warms up and is fine. On leash she is great until she gets her zoomies and will slip right out of her collar. She did that twice to me and both times I told her to go inside. She didn’t hesitate and walked right inside. So double leash is definitely recommended at least at first. She does bark but not excessively. All and all she is a good dog.

Story
Chile is a new addition to Brass City after having spent most of his life outside here in Connecticut. He is the father of Sage and Ginger, side kick to their mother Cardamom. He gets along with other dogs that he's met and he likes kids. He's been very friendly and welcoming in the short time that he's been in rescue. We really feel that with a little time to acclimate to a home environment and a schedule, he would thrive beyond measure. This little spice family is the definition of rescue.
