Story
This boy was surrendered due to the wife not wanting him around a newborn. Bob did nothing wrong and is a well behaved boy. He does need time to get used to new people but warms up pretty quickly. He gets along with other dogs and likes to play. He loves tennis balls and loves to chase them... he can fit 2 in his mouth at a time. He does well on a leash and is house broken. He does like children but will need time to adjust to their energy. He can get a little protective over what he considers "his" but is not a mean protector.... more bark than bite. Some added people socialization would probably help him. He is a good boy who was given a raw deal by his supposed family so he;s now looking for a new chance. He is located in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders.

Story
Clark is an 11 month old male Pit Bull mix weighing 54 pounds. He is affectionate and loves to cuddle. He is playful, enjoys his chew toys and absolutely adores water. Clark would do best with a female dog in the home. We don’t know this poor baby’s history but we do know he experienced a botched attempt at clipping his ears. They may not be pretty but he makes up for it in personality. Clark is neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Biggs is a 4 year old male Pit Bull mix who weighs 65 pounds. He simply just wants to be a lapdog! Biggs loves his humans and being as close to you as possible. He’d be great in a home with children. If another dog is in the home, he would do best with a female and a dog that is his size or bigger. He is crate trained and potty trained. This boy is a love bug!! Biggs is neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Story
Meet Lady Squirrel Lady Squirrel was owned in south Texas and her owners chopped her ears off but never cared enough to have her spayed or vaccinated. They bred her again and again and sold her puppies but never took her to the vet. Then the neighbors told us the people moved out of the house and left her outside. No food. No water. No shelter. So of course she ended up pregnant because of all the loose in tact street dogs in Texas. She had her puppies near the yard in a drainage pipe. They were only a week or so old and the rain was coming. They would have all drowned. A local rescuer went there at almost midnight one evening and we said we would take them under the rescue. Lady Squirrel was an amazing mama. And she is so loving and sweet to everyone she meets. Her cropped ears make her look tough but it’s so far from the truth. She is TOUGH in spirit. Because she’s fighting for the beautiful life she deserves. She of course ended up testing positive for heartworm but we are treating it and she will SHINE like the sun. She is fostered in Hopeville CT with dogs of various sizes and ages and she loves them all. There is also a 4 year old child in the home and she loves her too. We are accepting applications for her now. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE or will be SPAYED OR NEUTERED. The Chasing Sunshine Dog Rescue adoption donation is $595.00. This includes: spay/neuter (at our vet), vaccines (dhpp, bordetella, rabies), microchip, health certificate, fecal test and our dogs are on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworm. Out of state adopters must also pay for an interstate health certificate to their state. (This is typically around $65.00. Adopter will pay actual cost.) To apply to adopt one of our dogs fill out our adoption application at this link: https://form.jotform.com/ChasingSunshine/Chasing-Sunshine-Adoption-App For questions email: chasingsunshinedogrescue@gmail.com Check out our website at www.chasingsunshinedogrescue.org We are also on Facebook, TikTok & Instagram.

Story
Louie is 57 lbs of sweet, lovable, smoochy goodness! This absolute gem of a pup was dumped along with his two lady friends and a dozen puppies and it turned out to be the beginning of all good things for all of them. Louie is now safe with CPR, finished his vetting, and ready to start his new life in a home where he will be loved and cared for. He is well socialized, getting along great with other dogs and enjoying attention & affection from people. He rides nice in the car, is walking well on a leash, and he is smart & treat motivated so training him will be really rewarding. Louie will be loads of fun playing in the yard, a great partner for your walks around the neighborhood, and will happily go wherever his people are off to. He is just a big, lovable smoosh of a dog and he's going to make his new people extremely happy. Louie is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
