Story
Meet Dillon. He's a sweet and energetic 3 year old pitbull mix at around 68 lbs. He absolutely loves love and is a huge cuddle bug. In the time we have had him, he has never known a stranger and wants scratches from every person he meets. He loves any chew toy he can get and will chase any ball you throw though he doesn't quite understand the concept of fetching yet. He is still working on his manners but is very quick to please. We think he would be happiest as a solo dog mainly because he wants all of your attention and love. For more information please message Tonya at 870-318-4161 or email t.maloy@yahoo.com Message tonya for an application

Story
Jasper is a 3 year old neutered male American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He adores all canine and human companions, but would do best in a home with older children to play with just because of his size. He’s kennel & house trained.. He would thrive in an environment where he can partake in adventures with his favorite people! For more information please message Tonya at 870-318-4161 or t.maloy@yahoo.com Message tonya for application HW negative & UTD on yearly vaccines etc.

Story
https://www.facebook.com/truelovingcompanion/ Letters from Cyiah: I rescued a human today. Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor, worriedly looking into the kennels. I instantly felt her need and knew I had to help her. As she stopped at my kennel I moved to the front, leaned my shoulder forward and gave a little wag. I will admit, it was hard to be brave in the shelter environment. I didn’t want her to see, but I did tremble a bit. As she read my kennel card, I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past as I have a bright future ahead. She got down on her knees and began to speak to me. I wanted to say it was going to be okay but instead I got closer and leaned my head against the cage bars to comfort her. Her gentle fingers caressed my neck, her eyes filled with tears, and then came the moment; she smiled at me. I promised to keep her safe, to do everything I could to see that sweet smile, and sparkle in her eyes again. ********************************************************************************************* I’m in a foster home now. I’m bathed, settled and fed, and tucked warmly in my new bed. I should begin to unpack my baggage, lest I forget. There has been so much to carry, so much regret. Let’s start at the top, where I’ll first unpack Loneliness, Heartache, and Loss. There by my leash hides Fear and Shame and I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them so much, the family I once had, the ones who left me with nothing but my bag. Can you help me unpack please? I pray that you can, for I’m so tired you see, but I do come with baggage, will you still want me? ********************************************************************************************* Sadly, Cyiah’s history is a mystery, as she was brought into the shelter as a stray. She captured the attention of one of our representatives while she was there, which is how she became to be in our rescue. She’s in a foster home now where she’s doing amazing. She is housebroken, crate-trained, playful and sweet and does the best cheese smile you will ever see. Though social with people and dogs, she does take time to warm up. She will need a special family that will be understanding, loving and patient, that will give her the time she needs to unpack her baggage!

Story
https://www.facebook.com/truelovingcompanion/ Chai has been patiently waiting for his forever family, could that that be you? Available for adoption and ready to come home! If interested please reach out! From Chai's Foster Mom: Sweet Chai, while he may be a littler nervous at first, and needs a calm and slow introduction, he opens up really quickly and becomes the most trusting, sweet boy there is. Chai is also one of the smartest dogs I have ever met. He picks up games and verbal cues within a matter of minutes. He loves to play fetch and is even capable of playing fetch by himself. When he is really happy, or excited, he does these little jumping hops that are sure to make you smile. It is rare to have a dog that loves to lounge as much as he loves to play, but that is Chai for you. He will sleep in with you, or follow you to any adventure you put in front of him, he’s very versatile, and eager to please. He is a Velcro pitty and will follow everywhere if you allow it. He loves a squeaky toy, and stuffed animals, but knows how to disarm them within minutes. Although Chai is listed as a 5 year old, we believe he is closer to 2 and still has some of those puppy characteristics. He is good with dogs and kids, however, we think he would do better in a quiet environment, as he can get stressed with too many things happening. Because he is so smart, enrichment and an active lifestyle will do him really good. Chai is such a great dog, anyone would be lucky to have him.

Story
This little lady has only ever lived outside her entire life, here in Connecticut. She is exceptionally bonded to her sister Ginger but they have to be separated because they're far too co-dependent on one another. Sage needs to go to a home with a confident dog that will welcome her and show her how to be a dog. Sage is very quiet and timid, has no idea what a leash is, and is learning how to potty train. She's going to need a patient home to show her the ropes. She's so sweet and shows endless gratitude towards us for keeping her warm and fed. She's got so much potential and we are hoping that a family sees those yellow eyes and falls in love.

Story
Maddox is a great young boy looking for his forever home! He has been learning to walk on a leash and learning his doggie manners, which he is mastering nicely. He is approx 20 months old so having an active family would be a plus for this boy. He loves to run and play and gets along great with all the foster dogs he lives with. He would get along great with the kiddos but with his size and activeness, caution would need to be taken just because he is so stout. He would make a great companion for any size family but someone who likes to take walks or jogs would be ideal for Maddox. Maddox is ready to travel now. He is now pottytrained!. Go ahead and apply for this handsome young pup as he would love to have his forever home to call his own. Story
Diesel is a 11 week old nugget, adorable little mix breed puppy and we think he is so cute we can hardly stand it! He is well socialized, friendly, loves to play with his dog friends, LOVES people, and is just generally a very good time. Hobbies are napping, eating, finding mischief, and stealing kisses! Waiting for his forever home Diesel Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. She's a bully mix with the cutest short wrinkly snout, and an underbite with the best vampire teeth that only stick out sometimes. Her pictures don't do her justice, in-person her colors are so bright, seems almost as if her personality makes them shine. She's approx. 2 yrs old, near 59 lbs but could lose a few, on the shorter, stout side and has a tail that she loves to wag to show how happy she is receiving attention! Please reach out if interested in learning more! Let's not let Kat wait too much longer!
