MEET REMI! This wonderful, super sweet and loving pup is ready for her forever! REMI LOVES her humans. She is great in the home. She is good on the leash. Very friendly and sweet! REMI's ideal home would be one that LOVES big dogs! (she is about 86 lbs), LOVES this breed and is experienced with it. She would do best as solo dog in the home and adult only one a home with kids over 12. We believe REMI to be blue lilac tri xl bully ... but who cares? She's gorgeous! REMI is about 11 months old and weighs approximately 86 lbs. She is UTD and spayed. Have questions? Want a visit? Story
I can’t believe I even have to do this but I’m looking for a really good home for my dog. She’s housed trained she doesn’t use the bathroom in the house, she doesn’t chew things only toys she a really good dog. She doesn’t like the rain or wet grass and she loves sleeping in her cage with the door left open and she loves sheets. She’s good with big dogs not little ones and she doesn’t really like cats either. Remy would like to be the center of attention so a house with no little kids is preferred she does good with older kids. My daughter is really scared of all animals we had to rehome my cat and I tried to give it time but she just to scared of her. I would like for Remy to have a home with a backyard so she can run around something I haven’t been able to give her cause we live in an apartment building.

Story
This is Ruby!  She was found on the streets of Memphis and a couple days later she had 15 puppies in our rescue. She took great care of her puppies and they are all adopted now. Ruby is a gentle soul. She looks at you with eyes that show appreciation for her life. Her tail is always slowly wagging and she has a happy bark that bounces her whole body. Ruby loves hugs and pets from her humans. She is very sweet and calm most times - but does like to chew on bones and has energy to do short zoomies in the yard. She loves to go for slow walks especially if she gets to sniff along the way. It is entertaining to watch her look for bugs in the grass. She is always jumping back in surprise at  any movement.  She will throw herself down on the grass  and rub her back conv e nien tly exposing her belly for a rub . Ruby likes to be hosed down when it is hot out. Ruby is very smart and is responsive to commands and training. Ruby currently spends her days in an outdoor run and her nights in her crate inside. She is housed next to another female dog who she gets along great with. She likes other dogs but doesn't put up with any silly play.    She is best as an only dog or with an owner with breed specific experience. She is about 6  years old, and weighs 70   lbs.   Ruby has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $550  and includes her transportation to her new home in CT.  SHE IS IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO HER NEW HOME ONCE ADOPTED!  New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company.    If you would like to apply to adopt Ruby, please fill out our online application here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.  Any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnigs_animalrescue@yahoo.com.   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Bishop - Needs Foster or Forever home Male Pit bull type dog About 6 years old House trained Crate trained Walks well on a leash Knows basic commands Can live happily with another dog of similar size Needs a home with older children Up to date with vaccines Neutered Bishop came to us as an owner surrender. He had been rescued from a bad situation by a Good Samaritan who could not keep him. We saw him advertised on a free pets' site and contacted the owner, who was thankfully was willing to work with a rescue. After spending time in boarding while we searched for a foster home for him, Bishop has spent time in foster-based training. He has done great! Bishop loves his walks, and needs a family who will take him on adventures and continue to introduce him to new people, places, and things. He would love a family who is at home for at least part of the day - a stay-at-home parent, a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home would be ideal for him. He is happiest when he is with people. He is an absolutely wonderful, happy, affectionate dog who will make a wonderful family member. Story
https://www.facebook.com/truelovingcompanion/ Letters from Cyiah: I rescued a human today. Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor, worriedly looking into the kennels. I instantly felt her need and knew I had to help her. As she stopped at my kennel I moved to the front, leaned my shoulder forward and gave a little wag. I will admit, it was hard to be brave in the shelter environment. I didn’t want her to see, but I did tremble a bit. As she read my kennel card, I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past as I have a bright future ahead. She got down on her knees and began to speak to me. I wanted to say it was going to be okay but instead I got closer and leaned my head against the cage bars to comfort her. Her gentle fingers caressed my neck, her eyes filled with tears, and then came the moment; she smiled at me. I promised to keep her safe, to do everything I could to see that sweet smile, and sparkle in her eyes again. ********************************************************************************************* I’m in a foster home now. I’m bathed, settled and fed, and tucked warmly in my new bed. I should begin to unpack my baggage, lest I forget. There has been so much to carry, so much regret. Let’s start at the top, where I’ll first unpack Loneliness, Heartache, and Loss. There by my leash hides Fear and Shame and I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them so much, the family I once had, the ones who left me with nothing but my bag. Can you help me unpack please? I pray that you can, for I’m so tired you see, but I do come with baggage, will you still want me? ********************************************************************************************* Sadly, Cyiah’s history is a mystery, as she was brought into the shelter as a stray. She captured the attention of one of our representatives while she was there, which is how she became to be in our rescue. She’s in a foster home now where she’s doing amazing. She is housebroken, crate-trained, playful and sweet and does the best cheese smile you will ever see. Though social with people and dogs, she does take time to warm up. She will need a special family that will be understanding, loving and patient, that will give her the time she needs to unpack her baggage!

Story
Name: LaylaBreed: Pitbull mixAge: 4 years oldDogs: NoCats: NoKids: NoI'm Layla! Let me tell you a little bit about myself:At 4 years young I have plenty of zest for life! I love spending time with my people, whether it be getting some cuddles and butt scratches, going for car rides, getting my zoomies out in our expen, playing with the hose; I love water, or my absolute favorite thing, going on walks, I'm not hard to please! I prefer an introverted lifestyle, minimal foot traffic at home and low-key quality time with my humans, I'm not big on crowds or large social events. Don't get me wrong, I love to have fun and have quite a goofy personality around my people. I tend to have a small circle of friends as I am a bit apprehensive and unsure of new people, so I do take a little time to warm up to new friends, but my peeps at MHS say I'm doing quite well, I'm quite the cuddle-bug when I am comfortable! Sadly it's difficult for me to keep up with my house-training in a shelter environment so I'll need someone who has the patience and time to help me acclimate once in my forever home. I really would prefer to be the only animal in my new home, because I prefer a quiet environment where I can enjoy my people and get all the attention. I am spayed, micro-chipped, and UTD on my vaccinations. My friends at MHS are loving on me while I hang out at the shelter, but I'm really getting bummed seeing so many of my friends going off to their forever homes, while I sit and wait patiently wondering when my turn will be. If you are interested in meeting me and think you can give me the time, unconditional love, and home I need, please fill out an application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Name: LadyBreed: Hound MixAge: 3 years oldCats: NoDogs: NoKids: NoOur lovely Lady is searching for her forever home! At an estimated 3 years old, this sweet girl hasn’t had the best start in life. Lady was found roaming by a local animal control and sat waiting for her person to come for her but sadly, they never did. Lady was apprehensive to human touch at first but has made huge strides in learning to trust humans and that affection is okay. Sometimes a bit too much as she likes to be real close and in the laps of the people she loves the most! While she has come a long way in her time with us, Lady is still working on some trust issues with new humans and will require a special person who is willing to put the time and effort into coming and working build a bond with her.More about Lady, she loves her walks and quiet time in our expen away from the other pups. She’s also quite the fan of chasing down tennis balls, and loves her true chew treats! No other animals for Lady, as she has high prey drive. No kids as she prefers an adult only home. Lady is microchipped, utd on her vaccinations, and is spayed. If you think you can give Lady the forever home she longs for, please apply today!

Story
Meet our beautiful girl named Marigold! Marigold is a gentle, sweet, and smiley girl who is sure to melt your heart! She is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves spending time with people. Marigold was originally found roaming in town, and her owner never came to claim her. We believe she is about 5 years old. Marigold is a playful dog, but she also has a sweet and gentle side to her which makes her the perfect family pet. Marigold can entertain herself with a nice toy and a comfy bed. She is a people-oriented dog who loves to meet new friends and receive lots of pats and affection. Marigold can go to a home with children 10 years old and older. Marigold has shown that she is uncomfortable with other dogs being in her close personal space. She is not aggressive towards dogs while outside in a large area, but at this time, we are looking for a home where she can be the only dog. Marigold is vaccinated against rabies and has tested negative for Heartworm and tick borne diseases. If you are interested in adopting Marigold, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER!
